I purchased a Jaguar XE from ESP Cars in March and the process could not have been any better in terms of communication, attention to detail and going above and beyond to ensure I had the best car in the best possible condition with the best protection available. Dan from Sales was extremely personable and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. He would always contact me when he said he would and everything went incredibly smoothly regarding the purchase. I am very happy with my purchase and Dan and ESP Cars have a very satisfied customer.

Fantastic experience, from the very first enquiry, Matt the sales manager went out of his way, no matter what time of day to answer every question I had, and I certainly had a lot of questions, lol. As for the car, it was exactly what I expected and more, in absolutely pristine condition as promised, as was every car that was on display in the show room. I would have no problem recommending them

Absolutely shockingly bad service, would never use this place again and would not recommend, they sold me a car with a private plate on it and then a month later called me to tell me it had been removed, leaving me unable to drive the car because of an illegal number plate for a week, they never gave me any original plates with the car, this took a week to resolve, I received the number plates and then had to pay a £60 fee to my insurance company to change the number plate over. I asked for reimbursement and was promptly told no! to top it all off they even lied to the DVLA about what day they sold me the car by a month to cover up for the mistake with the number plates, THE CAR WAS NOT READY TO SELL AS IT DID NOT HAVE CORRECT PLATES ON but they didn't care , they just wanted the sale. All the usual rubbish of telling me how good they are and how they don't rip people off was all total lies! absolutely disgusted with the service from ESP Cars Nottingham

Initially very pleased with the whole experience. The whole team were brilliant and couldn't fault them.Sadly though having had the car for a number of months now, we have had nothing but problems! Some minor which were easy to fix. But the latest problem has us thinking of fixing and getting rid! Really disappointed.

We bought our Porsche Cayenne from ESP in January 2019. I initially spoke on the phone to Binder who I believe is one of the owners of the company and he was very honest with us and referred us onto Joel, one of the sales staff. I felt confident enough with their demeanour and what they told me about the car to put down a deposit to hold the car until we could view it. Joel was very helpful and had the car ready for us to test drive. Throughout the process of purchasing the car, he made everything very straightforward and was up front about costs of extended warranty etc. There were one or two things we wanted sorting with the car before paying in full for it, and Joel made sure that everything was completed in time. He kept us up to date throughout the process. We were very happy with the trade-in value that ESP was willing to give us for our previous Cayenne too. We did have an issue with the car about a month after buying it, but cars can and do go wrong. I only ever judge a company on how they deal with an issue, and ESP were nothing sort of excellent. They returned my calls when they said they would and had the issue sorted for us without any problems whatsoever. I would have no hesitation in buying from ESP Cars again even though we live about 160 miles away, so I think it's safe to say that I can highly recommend them! Loving the car now and will be looking to replace the wife’s Audi with another purchase from the excellent choice of vehicles with ESP in the not-to-distant future!

Very Easy buying experience - even during covid conditions! We bought over the phone and both Wayne and Phil helped us with every little request we had by taking extra photos and videos so we could see more detail on the car. The buying process was easy and straight forward. We were reassured at all times throughout the process. We were guaranteed a car that was in fantastic condition and that is exactly what we got. My husband now has his dream car. Even though it is a seven year old car - it rolled out of the showroom and drives as though it was brand new. We are absolutely delighted with it - thanks ESP cars - top class!

Just bought an Audi Q5 Sports Quatro with the help from Phil(ESP) who was extremely helpful & courteous. The car was exactly as advertised and the service from Phil on collection was faultless. Now looking forward to the driving experience.

They have some good cars here. However, please note the following: 1. They refuse to reduce the price even if the car has minor damage (not initially mentioned over the phone) as mine did - scratches inside and outside. When I pointed out damage to the tyre I was told that was normal wear and tear!!! 2. Took over 4 hours to confirm my finance. I had to wait around for half a day! 3. Very very pushy when it comes to gap insurance and extended warranties. Just would not take no for an answer. I was told I was mad several times for not spending £1,500 extra for these addtionals. Extremely rude and terrible customer service. 4. Took my part exchange car as soon as I arrived and I never saw it again! The mechanic smirked at me when I told him I wanted my private plates including the plate surround so I could install on the new car. I found this insulting and rude. Also, he almost scratched the plates as he pryed them off. 5. Was told I could not test drive my new £25k car because he did not have the time and the finance paperwork needed to be done! In fact, he said to me: 'do you want the finance or not. if we don't do it straightaway, you can forget agbout the car' 6. The car literally had less than a £1's worth of fuel. I had to drive slowly to the petrol station across the road to refuel. Please also note, if you need to use the rest room as I had to considering the 4 hour wait, you need to go begging for a key as they keep it locked and the toilet stunk!!! In light of the above I will never buy from them ever again. However, please note, the cars are good here otherwise they would get a 1 *; it's just their customer service and the way they force you to buy extra insurance and treat their customers like we are in a war-torn 3rd world country. And before you respond, ESP with 'we don't have your name on our database', yes I did buy my car from you.

Once again another great purchase this is my 6th car from ESP now. They always go out of their way for you to help you get exactly what you want in a vehicle.

OK. As with most car dealerships they are super friendly and can't do enough for you up to the point of purchase. Then once you've agreed to the sale they aren't interested and have to chase them on everything, even the collection date/time!! they say it was because they were so busy, but not really a valid reason to me when buying a 21k car. Had to bring it back for some paint work touch ups which we didn't notice on viewing (because the showroom lighting hides it!) and they were OK with that thankfully. Would recommend but not sure we would go back.

I never write reviews so apologise for the lengthy review but I wanted to take the opportunity to personally thank Matt and Dan Squires on my recent purchase. I’d been looking for around a year for this particular car but could never find the spec, colour or price that was right for me. I saw ESP had a vehicle in that suited my requirements for specification and price. My initial contact was with Matt, he described the car thoroughly and a brief history of the business and how they pride themselves on good condition low mileage vehicles. I placed a deposit on the vehicle on the back of our conversation and also the circa 98 reviews of 4.5* or above. There were several updates via phone while I waited waited 4 weeks until lockdown lifted. I travelled over 7 hours round trip to go and view and test drive it. The car was a true reflection as described on the phone. Exemplary condition, 1 owner low mileage. It drove better than expected. There was some small trim scratches which Dan assured me he would sort out before collection. A month had expired on the MOT during lockdown and he agreed to put 12 months on it ready for collection which was a nice touch to have a fresh MOT. All in all I couldn’t fault the service from Matt, Dan and ESP cars. The service was better than some main dealers that I have experienced. Although it was a huge round trip for myself I will definitely consider ESP for when I’m due to change cars. Thanks very much guys, it was a real pleasure to deal with you

Great service from Dan from start to finish, very smooth from the first visit to collection day. Everything was explained with great care. I had a small issue after collection and to be fair Matt had the car back and sorted it for me so great service all around.

Worst place ever, very unprofessional, avoid immediately. Car came with faults, first time came to get it repaired, was told they had my dpf filter replaced, then they changed it to sensor being replaced. Clearly lied to us. Same problem happened twice, took it back to them, I don't think they did any work on it, probably just reseted the car. Now the same sign has popped up 3 times again, and I didn't even have the car for month. So I decided to get a refund which they're refusing. Last time we spoke to Matt which we agreed on email confirmation to be sent to us regarding if the fault occurs again he will refund us back the money, we didn't receive no response that day, now the cars on the driveway which doesn't even start.

Purchased my Audi A7 from ESP travelled over 300 miles there and back and worth every bit of it, you can tell the staff have a passion for the business and do not treat it just as work, everything has been great from start to finish. Job well done Joel

I have waited over a year before posting this as I don’t think it’s fair to review a company whilst an issue is still ongoing. So here is my review. Just over a year ago I drove 50 miles to visit ESP due to their excellent range and stock of motors. We met Dan Squires(who may I say is a real credit to the company). Because we were happy with the service we were getting we decided to purchase a Black Range Rover Sport. A car is always wanted from a very young age. When we picked the car up it looked fantastic and was presented to a very high standard considering it was 6 years old. However 25mins up the road in went into limp mode. I contacted Esp straight away and was quite taken back when I was told I would have to limp the car back for them to check it over. No offer to come out and try and help. We were told it was an old Fault code that was cleared and it would be fine. 2 days later it broke down again. This time on a junction of a very busy motorway. I called them again. Very little help and told to bring it back a cost I would have to stomach. After a week the car came back to me and low and behold 7 days later more things started to go wrong. Again it went back to Esp only this time with a request from me to reject the vehicle. ESP refused this saying I had no legal grounds to reject the car. There was no offer to cover any recovery costs or loss of earnings due to the cars lack of reliability. After more issues down the line and help from Esp becoming less and less I took the case to the ombudsman who after one year have upheld my rejection so I can finally give the car back to my finance company. However, paying for the finance for a year coupled with other repair bills and independent reports I’m left seriously out of pocket. So whilst the company covered themselves in glory at the start when it came to the crunch they were not prepared to take back the Lemon they’d sold me for around 17k. Leaving me with a 17k headache for a year. As you can see below ESP have responded and as usual with the bad reviews they try and deflect the blame onto someone or something else. I collected the car on a Saturday morning. There were people in the workshop when I limped the car back. So that’s the first lie. It wasn’t late and I didn’t continue my journey home. Second lie, yes I did take it to Landrover for a health check however they refused to look at the tracking of the vehicle due to it having 4 different tyres on it. It wasn’t given a clean bill of health at all. Yes you did supply 4 tyres of the same compound but they were already 3 years old and off of another vehicle. These lasted all of about 700 miles before they blew out on me. Matt told me I had been driving around with 2 flat tyres which is why they blew out. (Laughable) The vehicle was inspected by an independent chosen by the finance company who in turn agreed that the fault was still present and that after inspecting the paperwork was present prior to me purchasing the vehicle. I have asked ESP to provide me with evidence supporting their claims they were exonerated from any wrong doing. So we shall see. Please be mindful before using them and read all the bad reviews. Remember not every car is a lemon but how will ESP behave if you’re the one customer who gets one.

Honest, relaxed, transparent and will always go above and beyond expectations for the customer. I bought a Land Rover from them and had a great experience through the buying process and again through servicing. So welcoming are all off the staff and owners that I have been back recently and bought a second vehicle through their process, confident I’ve got the best deal and a great vehicle!

Not purchased a car for over 10 years, so my negations skills were rusty ESP was my first port of call, the place was great the car was great- BUT they would not knock any money off – so we could not have a deal, off I went to another 4 garages – I then realised why ESP would not discount – I returned a week later and purchased – determined to get something I twisted Matt arm to get some me biscuits with my coffee, even though he finished most of them off.

I am the very proud owner of an RS5. I couldn't have achieved what is in my view, an 'apex' car for those who pay tax and don't live in Monte Carlo, had it not been for ESP cars and their staff. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and, their sales team walk you through the purchase every step of the way, with no imposed pressures and plenty of sage counsel. ESP cars are the full package - sales, servicing, specialisation - whatever you need, they provide. You can buy a car anywhere, from any garage or sales court - crikey, nowadays people buy their cars from eBay! But why would you rid yourself of the sheer joy you deserve by being 'looked after' by those people who really care about their customers and, do everything to ensure that your experience of buying the car of your dreams is much more than a sales deal. A special mention for Matt Fisher. He is the Sales Manager at ESP and I can't recommend him enough. Cheerful, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, he and his staff will make sure that you are welcomed with open arms and guided every step of the way. There is a reason i have gone back for multiple purchases over the years. There is a reason I'd travel the length of the country to do so. Fair, honest and courteous, buying a car from ESP cars is less of a transaction and much more of an experience.

Good Day, I bought a BMW 530d Touring from ESP in October 2018. Spotted it on the Internet and all initial communications with the salesman were really good. He called me straight away and we had a really good conversation. We agreed a slightly reduced purchase price for the car as the mileage was in fact higher than advertised (due to the sales manager using the car for personal use). I paid a deposit over the phone and we agreed a date for collection as I live 115 miles away. We also agreed a price of £900 for my then current vehicle as part exchange. The big day arrived and me and my 11 year old son drove to the garage. On arrival we were both blown away by the amount of performance cars in the showroom. The salesman greeted us and showed us to the BMW and gave me a walk through of the iDrive entertainment system. He then advised that he would need to test drive my car to check it was all in order. We went on quite a long drive considering it was only valued at £900 but so be it. I noticed he didn't offer me a test drive of the BMW and also didn't offer me or my son a drink despite us driving over 100 miles (I probably should have asked). I duly purchased the BMW but politely declined the GAP insurance (despite the salesman's best efforts). We then drove home and parked the car on my drive. All seemed well until about a week later when I decided to wash my car on a sunny day. On inspection it became clear that the front and back of the car were painted in a slightly different colour to the rest of the car. When I say a different colour, it was a different black in that it was a metallic black and not a flat black like the rest of the car. So I contacted the salesman and he passed me onto Matt his manager. Matt asked me to pop the car back to the garage so he could take a look, however I didn't fancy another 230 mile round trip. I instead went to my local BMW specialist who confirmed that the front and back of the car had been sprayed in the wrong BMW black paint. They checked the rest of the car (for my peace of mind) and said it was fine. I then emailed Matt with photos of the car and an estimate from the garage. He responded and offered me £100. This seemed a bit low against a car purchased for c. £16k but he said that was the best he could do. To cut a long story short I contacted my credit card company and they reviewed the photographs and refunded almost enough to cover the cost of a respray. So all's well that ends well. However, whilst I would recommend ESP if you're looking for a performance used car, please check it out very carefully before parting with your hard earned cash (and always pay your deposit via a credit card).

Iv'e had very professional service from the very first phone call to the day of collection as the guys at ESP had kept me up to date throughout the whole process and made it very easy to part ex the car I had. Special thanks to Joel throughout, has been fantastic, professional and not pushy at all! Stuck to his word and gave me a car with a re-sprayed bonnet, tailgate and rear bumper. Car was handed to me with all the previous history and in a very good condition. highly recommend ESP motors if you're after a new car!

Hesitantly ordered over the phone as this is something, I’ve never done with a car purchase, credit to Dan from the point of purchase he kept in contact with me all the way through the transaction until collection day which was also smooth and trouble free, the car was exactly as described. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Having always had a company car I made the jump into buying my own, I was recommended to ESP cars by a friend who had purchased 6 years ago from Phil who to my surprise was still working there he did a great job in assisting me with my purchase as did Matt, 2 more years I will be back.
