I wanted to give it a couple of months before leaving a review, just to make sure I'd given the wheels time for the lacquer to harden properly and to see if there were any issues - but after waiting a few months I'm happy to say that the problem that brought me to Auto Wheel Repairs has been solved.
My front wheels were badly corroded and I was losing a lot of air - around 15-20PSI every week. I was on the verge of burning out my compressor given that every few days I had to top them up with air. I sent off some photos via the website, was contacted pretty quickly, and got a quote that was a fair bit less than other people were charging.
AWR collected the wheels - a really friendly guy whose name I forget - and they put the car up on axle stands outside my house. I live on a one-way street but contacted the council and they didn't have a problem with me leaving it. Around a week later, I had a call to let me know the wheels were on their way back to me.
You can see from the photos (even though in the 'after' one they've been rained on) that there's a huge difference. I was told that it would take a few weeks for the lacquer to harden properly, so not to use any wheel cleaners for the time being, which I was happy to do. I did have a little trouble getting one of them off a while later because of the thickness of the lacquer, and maybe a little copper slip could have helped there, but of course, that might have affected the lacquer curing.
A few months down the line, I'm losing at the most a couple of PSI a month on the offside, and a few more on the nearside, but that's more than likely down to the condition of the tyres. In any case, it's much better than the 15-20PSI every week.

I used these guys under a different name.
Sadly, the quality of workmanship fitting the wheels was appalling. None of the lifting points were used so substantial damage was done to the underside of the car - I wondered why he was in a such a hurry to leave and put it down to getting to the next job...
The quality of the work on the wheels was excellent, although you'd be best off looking elsewhere for a rush job as it took weeks to pin them down to a time and they didn't show up at all the first time they were booked, so don't take time off work either.
When they eventually showed up they were great. Don't imagine your old alloys will just need a lick of paint, they'll probably need powder coating.
Overall cost, via a Groupon voucher, was roughly £220, which is less than one new wheel, so well worth it for the wheels, just make sue you're standing right next to them when they take them on or off as repairing the damage to the underside of the car at all four points was ~£200!

I had four alloy wheels that needed to be repaired as I was returning a leased vehicle, so I shopped around the local companies and the quote from this company was the cheapest.
The car was collected and returned to my home address and was done in a few days.
Having advised them that I was planning to return the lease car, it was returned with some of the scuffs and marks removed from the bodywork, which was very helpful and over and above what they needed to do.
The wheels were perfect and looked like new and I will be using this company again in the future.

I made an online enquiry to AWR explaining my issues, which were that I had hit a nasty pothole on the A27 which had flat spotted at least one wheel on the NS of the car. Within a few minutes, Dan had called me and had looked at the damage (I had sent in a photo). He told me what AWR did, how they could help and how it all worked.
I was very impressed with the speed of the response as well as how much time Dan was taking in explaining the process and answering any questions I had regarding the finished product, time frames and costs.
I had a few quotes from other repair specialists, but Dan and AWR were the most forthcoming and interactive and of course offered me a fantastic price, so I arranged with Dan for the wheels to be collected.
The next day, another nice chap, Rob, called me to say he was en route, to collect the wheels, he was on time, very polite and courteous too.
Rob put my car on stands, removed the wheels and put them in his van, and he chatted to me about how it all works with the refurbishment and then tempted me with a colour chart, he showed me a few popular and favourite colours, and I decided to go for the Anthracite. With that he said would likely be seeing me in 3-4 days and off he went.
Rob did come back, four days later, and it was quite late when he arrived, about 7:45PM, unfortunately, he had gotten held up, he did call me while en route explaining the predicament. He said he did not want to let me down as I was expecting him, and wanted my car to be back on the road. He fitted the wheels back on, and off he went about 8:45 for his dinner, a pizza I believe.
My wheels are fantastic, I love the new colour. I recently had some tyres fitted at my local F1 Auto Centre, I told the fitter about the wheels being refurbed, and he said that they look to be really very well done and have a cracking good finish.
Overall, I highly recommend AWR, Dan and Rob were both polite, patient, very helpful and easily contactable by both email and telephone. The work AWR have done is fantastic and my car looks like it has brand new wheels, very happy.

AWR did a beautiful job on my diamond-cut alloys!
They came to pick up my car just before my lease ended and brought it back to me looking like new. As you'll see from the before and after photos, the rims went away pretty well kerbed, and came back lusciously smooth and clean. With a compound polish the bodywork looked great, and they did me an interior valet-job on top. Thanks guys!
I'm docking a star only because there were a few delays in picking up and returning the car. Dan made good efforts, but it was such a busy time of year (just before new reg comes out) that they missed my deadline. Still, it looked so gorgeous when it came back I wish I could have given them 4.5 instead.
I would happily use them again, but I will just act a little sooner.

Excellent service called for repair on my alloy wheel as it had a crack in it on removing wheel there were already three repairs done and I had only just purchased the car from a dealer. they took the wheel away and checked for me and found 2 more cracks. when contacting me I was told this was to bad to repair again, and I should contact the dealer they give me a condition report to help me confront the supplying dealer as the car should have never been sold like that. and with there help the dealer replaced all 4 wheels as having checked all wheels the were 2 more with cracks this company went above and beyond to help me. and can't praise them enough for all there help thanks, Rob and Team first glass service I received

Scuffed an alloy after 3 weeks of having my new car so pride dented but luckily I had alloy wheel cover!
Rob came down and switched alloys so I was mobile during the repair.
My alloy was back on my car within the week and you’d not notice it’d been repaired!
Quality service, fast turnaround and Rob the technician was great!
Glad I had the cover but even at £80 it’s a bargain!

The wheels on my Mercedes were quite badly corroded and AWR did a fantastic job bringing them back to life. Courteous and polite, great service. As a bonus, they had a spare set of wheels that they loaned us, so we could keep our car on the road while they repaired our wheels. Highly recommended!

In terms of the workmanship, I would have rated it 5 stars. However their customer service is below par, multiple calls with no feedback, took 5 days for what was a minor scuff. I understand they have a 3 day turnaround, but if its busy or they are short staffed, I just need to know when it can actually be delivered. Was on it's way for over 48 hours. They tend to forget people have plans...I had to cancel an event I entered my m4 in as they told me they were going to deliver it and backed out last minute. Then the delivery farce.
Honestly wanted to give it a one star review but that would also be unfair as the work is good...
Hope they learn and improve...they could go big if they combined their work skills with customer service.
I'm not sure if I will use them again...I guess I will see if they have improved via reviews and decide in the future.
You guys still have the valve cap of my m4 alloy...they promised to post it or get it delivered. I'm holding them to it.

This was the second time that I have used AWR. My lease ends tomorrow and I needed to get 3 of my diamond cut alloys repaired. Even though they were busy they managed to fit me in, came to collect the alloys and provided me with a spare set to keep me mobile. There was a slight delay of return by 24 hours but they worked hard to ensure I had them back in time. I thought communication was good and my text messages were answered promptly. I would recommend them and will be using them again.

Ripped me off for £980 for new tyres paid for and Stole my wheels May 19, worth £2k tried for months to get wheels back, but they Won’t return them . Received threatening phone calls after reporting them . Now perusing the matter through both courts,Trading standards, and Police. There are other people this outfit have done this to, and they are well known for it amongst other motor trade companies . Do not use , and certainly do not give them money upfront or let them take your property - complete fraudsters and conmen, worst experience I’ve ever had with fraud and being ripped off .

Great service - they repaired the alloy wheel so the tyre connected properly, and wouldn't deflate. Very important as a family car. They had it welded and fixed and back to me in less than five hours. Very pleased with the quick turnaround and the fix to the alloy wheel.

This company provided us with a service second to none.
Firstly the price was excellent as I had a groupon voucher. This company sent out there technician “rob” who arrived at time he said to collect the wheels (down in Kent). He very carefully jacked up the car and put it on stands, which he also provided. He removed and marked each wheel. 3 day later he returned (with no nasty extras on the bill) .the wheels were refitted to my car and he made sure I was totally happy before leaving. My wheels now look brand new, believe me there were quite a mess. You would think they are brand new rims. My tyres were refitted and balanced in the price also. This is a great company. Providing a great service at a very fair price. If I could I would leave 6 stars I would.

Yeah under new management because your ring leader is in prison for fraud according to Sussex Police. If you are going to scam people it helps if you stop getting caught all the time. 1 year in prison for every wheel you steal.
One of the scammers Jamie has set up a new company JWR Repairs, no address of course. Stay away from them too.

After going over a nasty pot hole and cracking one of my Pretoria wheels on my Golf R, I phoned up my local garage for some advice . They recommended Auto Wheel Repairs and I could not have been happier with the service. Friendly, down to earth people who did a great job in a really short turn around. I will be calling them again soon when I have chosen what colour I want for my wheels! Brilliant service

I needed a crack in an alloy welded and was originally told it could take 2-3 days as someone was off sick, but they managed to return it to me the same day, looks good quality work, will be using again eventually to sort the other alloys out! Only downside is that it was a little expensive but the quick turnaround of the work made up for it so 5 stars from me

I had my wheels powder coated on my Mercedes by auto wheel repairs after using my group on voucher and them requiring extra repairs I did have to pay extra surcharge. But they came back brand new!!!!
Jamie when he collected the wheels showed me the different colours available and pictures of previous repairs on instagram and gave me peace of mind I was with the right company. I'm so happy they had the convenient arrangement of having the wheels collected from my house so I didn't need to to take time off work. I would also recommend these guys to my friends and family.

Utterly useless, worst ever customer experience
Purchased a Groupon voucher to have four wheels refurbished, called and was asked to send pics. When I did I was told it would be an extra £30 per wheel as they needed acid dipping and powder coating but no other explanation.
Agreed to have the car collected by 9:30 on Wednesday morning, nobody turned up, sent text to ask where they were and received reply “Let me speak to driver”
Never heard from them again despite sending multiple texts and leaving phone messages.
Fortunately Groupon refunded fee.

Very impressed! It took 4 days from collection to bringing them back and they came back like brand new! I never new the difference between a standard one colour wheel to a diamond cut. But I spoke to a guy called Jamie that sent me pictures so I would understand the difference, which was helpful. Mine were the more expensive BMW diamond cut version. I would use again and have kept this number in my contacts as they cater for many wheel repair problems. Would recommend to friends and family :)

Quality of work is second to none, very happy. Originally quoted 3 day turnaround, this then actually became 17 days. Communication once they had the wheels seemed to be lacking. I had to chase regularly and use another phone to contact them as my phone couldn't get through at one point. I actually arranged to work from home some days to accommodate for delivery, but they never showed up. I even wasted a day of annual leave with the same outcome again. As I said previously, I can't fault their workmanship it truly is great. By all means use these guys, but don't hold your breath when they say the wheels will be returned on X day.

I hit a pothole on way home from work called other companies they told me buy a new wheel and weren’t interested called up Auto wheel repairs they asked me to send them a picture got back to me and asked when they could pick it up they repaired the wheel and delivered back to me saving me money can’t fault the service really friendly and easy to deal with. Had to use Auto Wheel repair when I cracked my alloy on one of the many pot holes around these days.
Needed the wheel sorted in a hurry, as I was going away for the weekend. Wheel was back within 24 hours.
Friendly members of staff, who know what they are talking about, door to door service and I was really happy with the over all job.
I would 100% us Auto Wheel Repairs again.

Quick and professional service, they came and took the wheels off my car leaving it's safe and secured whilst they stripped back and recut the lip of my wheels and repainted the face. They looked tired and dated prior to the refurb but now they look better that when they came out of the factory. Great care was taken at every step of the process and even when refitting my wheels, I can not recommend these guys highly enough

Garage/office staff wasn't as efficient as I hoped for. There were several telephone calls about when the wheels would be returned. However, the wheels were superbly refurbished and Jamie was amazing with door to door service.

Ridiculously good service. Got ran off the road and hit a curb on a Saturday afternoon. They came out to me on the Sunday to pick my wheels up and had them returned to me on the Monday. Best in the business!
