After a poor experience with other letting agencies (I've been renting in Brighton for 12 years) I was a little apprehensive about moving into a new property. Luckily Massey Property services were absolutely fantastic. If something needed fixing, they fixed it, if I had a question, they promptly answered it. They were very professional and I would happily recommend them to anyone.

Not rented through them but seem like a genuinely caring team. I had run out of electricity and my own agency was shut and jo said they used the same card at masseys so drove to my house on a Sunday morning to see if it worked.

Worst estate agents ever. They put up the price of my rent less than 24 hours before contract renewal. When i moved out, they tried to take my whole deposit to pay for repairs of things that were already broken when i moved in. Cowboys. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Jo is the worst one of all. She lies about everything constantly. She's just a terrible human being with no soul.

We have been with Massey’s for many years and find the service they provide is exemplary. Time and time again they act promptly when issues arise, give us guidance when needed, and are a very even handed and fair broker between us and our tenants.
When we have a tenancy change they spend time ensuring that the tenant is right for our property, and our property is right for the tenant. We have recommended them to friends who are landlords, and friends looking to rent a property. Without fail they have all been very pleased with the help they received from Massey’s.

The agency I'm Brighton isn't up to expectations. One of the 2 shared bathroom was out of service for few weeks and the other bathroom was in such a state that we had to go to our parents to wash ourselves , there supposed to be a cleaner but I dont think they knew about the upstairs bathroom.
when we gave our notice, we were told about the renewing fees that they forgot to ask for 6month prior and the agent talking to me made it all our fault and actually yeld at me when I asked to see the email we never received and the letter they never sent.
The rest of team is alright, but this one made me happy ae are renting with an other agency.

Absolutely outstanding. Walked across town to find them on the recommendation of a friend, and in the space of two hours had found the perfect flat that I was able to move into within days. Service delightful and from a real human who is genuinely interested in what they are doing and will have an actual conversation with you. Forget everything you know about estate agents, the bar has been significantly raised.
EDITED TO ADD actually I want to gush some more. I was even given a lift to viewings by Jo. And the friend who recommended Massey to me has lived in a flat managed by them for a while now and could not recommend them enough.

Really good agency! Never caused a problem. They had no problems with my occupation (student). I lived in a old studio, so of course there would be some maintenance problem, but they always helped me. For instance, if I told them something wasn't working, it was either replaced right away (like under 2 days) or got fixed within 24 hours.
Sadly, I had to move out and I did not have any problem getting my deposit.
Really nice people and easy to talk to! Really impressed.

I rented my house in Brighton from Massey Property Services for six and a half years. Jo and the team at Massey's are incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. On the very rare occasions I had queries or issues with the house they were dealt with immediately with very little disruption to me. Communication was excellent and any member of the team you dealt with was courteous, knowledgeable and able to deal with any queries. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Massey Property Services.

Extremely poor customer service. Agent was running late while we were waiting for over 15 minutes and did not bother to even give us a courtesy call. Called their office and was told that he'll be there in 5 minutes but as soon as we mentioned if he is not here in the next 5 minutes we will leave, we were told that it's best to cancel it as he is the other side of town.

I rented a studio from Massey properties (Western Road, Hove) and had the most lovely stay. I worked with Jo mostly but did have opportunity to work with rest of the team too. I believe them to be most professional and courteous. They were very prompt with my few maintenance requests. They went out of their way to help me out on various occasions. In fact, they even returned my security deposit well before the 15 days...I just never had any issues with them. If anything, they made my life easier specially when a lot was going on with me personally...they are just absolutely wonderful! Given the opportunity, I would love to work with them anytime as my first preference. Thanks for everything Jo and rest of the Massey Property team! You rock!! :-)

I have rented from various agents and private landlords in the 16 years that I have lived in Brighton and can honestly say that I have never received service as good as I do from Massey from any previous landlords.
My aerial was damaged in the recent storms. I rang Massey on Friday afternoon and they sent a repair man round the next morning!
They are friendly and efficient and I always recommend them to friends who are house hunting!

These people are cowboys. Their properties are a state which they don't bother maintaining. They have lousy opening hours and require you to buy electricity cards only from them. They seldom answer any calls and when they do are very rude.
