I had a very positive experience on Monday when have applied for a passport. It was easy to get an appointment online. Passport application took less than 20 minutes. Olga who helped me was quick, efficient, informative, and very kind. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful even in pandemic time.

Every year things are getting better, fortunately. The process now is more efficient, the people working there are - well, just normal people, who know how to smile and how to help. The website really could use redesign but overall I think this deserves 5 stars.

Latex gloves mandated but not provided. We went in like we were about to perform a colon examination having purchased a pair from a Sri Lankan over the road at a duly inflated price. Of course, the tired-of-life staff surrounded by decor that was more tired still were not wearing any latex or masks. But that didn't stop them from displaying all the hallmarks of the minor and largely unnecessary public officials that Kafka so succinctly characterised in The Trial. The once proud Russian bureaucrats come across like a cohort of hasbeens, clinging on to the attitudes of power a civil servant might have been entitled to in a different time, but their practices such as accepting cash only as if that were even a thing these days speak of an anachronism that succinctly sums up their nation. Seen better times.

The contact person who has a man was not helpful at all and wanted to get rid of me on the call , no proper support was provided on the call. I decided to cancel my trip to Moscow due to this . Very disappointed

Staff politeness depends much on their mood. They can be very helpful one day, but on the next day they will not service you (like, you could leave your 3-yo daughter alone at home). Also, there is one major downside - Putin is the President of Russia for 20+ years.

The service was comfortable, parking is next door. Remember to take cash for payments, masks and silicon gloves.

Horrible service! Called them today, had two simple questions, but alas! Incompetent girl on the phone with attitude was not able to answer whether they suspended e-visa services for EU citizens and if I can fly to Russia from London as EU citizen. I guess Russia does not need tourism????

You can't enter without gloves (which are proven ineffective against covid), but all the employees don't even wear masks.

Staff at the desk can be more friendly. The atmosphere was like “get out of here, we are tired of you all” and the price list can be changed.

I am undergoing a huge shock and surprise in a POSITIVE way! Having have to deal with Russian Embassy in New York, I got used to enormous lines, wait times and rude inhuman service. Russian Consulate in London was the opposite of it. Amazing hearty staff, fast service, helpful advice and my daughter's passport was ready in 6(!) days! In NYC for example it was never less than 6 weeks. Absolutely a pleasure to deal with London Consulate. It was quite cold outside and we were let in immediately, I really appreciated it. Quick service inside : 10 minutes - in and out. Easy to get appointments. Nice, calm atmosphere. I honestly would be happy to come there more often.

Information is not synced between departments. Staff is not friendly. The building is not painted well like other embassies nearby. The entrance is horrible and not accessible. Huge space to improve.

Nice building and facilities. Polite and helpful service/staff. Paperwork seems to take forever, but it's not fault of the embassy. Russian bureaucracy is rather confusing, and some requirements aren't stated on the website.

Stop sending people to watch our Embassy. Otherwise we will act. Who is walking around the Embassy during the day dresses in sports wear and casual clothing holding mobile devices acting like you are new in town. Fake Couples we have a close eye on you. You even use more than one person with different dress styles. Stay away we are watching you to.

If you can help it, don't go there for anything. I don't need any of your useless/non-existent service, with people there not knowing anything, everything needs to be spelled out for them and they still make mistakes, using old dated documents that are not being used in Russia anymore... And don't just assume that everyone comes to your embassy lives in London. It's about being efficient and sorting people's issues when they come without delaying just out of principle. Incompetent, money grabbing people.

I would say it is a massive improvement to the way it was run before. Overall a much less stressful experience. Staff are much more helpful than before. The security guard at the gates is friendly and welcoming and even the ladies working there manage the odd smile. Hopefully things will only improve. Fingers crossed. After all that's been going on in Russia, it wold help if the Russian Embassy gave a positive impression.

My mother went here to renew her passport and she came back telling me that the staff treated her horribly. She said that they called her stupid for asking questions when they said they couldn’t renew her passport. It’s pathetic. It doesn’t matter where people are from, if you’re gonna act like a bratty teenage boy then don’t work. Nearly £50 was wasted on nothing. Thanks a lot.

The place is hotspot for russian imperialists and expansionists, just look at their OFFICIAL TWITTER ACCOUNT! It's is hard to get a visa if you are ukrainian, even if you are british national... and the looks you get! Boy don't get me start on pricing there! Stay clear off that building, if you really need to get a visa(especially if you are Ukrainian) fly to Germany or something!
