it has been a long time water is leaking down to my neighbour flat from my bathroom. my neighbour is kept complaining for a few month that water is leaking on his bathrom electrecity. i have phoned to the harringay council and they never turn up. im sure there will be a big expolosion in this building and so many people will be daying plus there too many kids are living in the building. thats because of te water leak on electrecity.haringey council will be in resposible with anything happens.

EVERY attempt to phone in for parking leads to a link to the website - how are people meant to get on with a days work if they can't park. I needed a trade permit, takes 5 days to set up, not much help on a Monday morning trying to work on wheelchair access. And what about people who don't have smart phones and computers! Surely HC are contravening a dozen human rights due to the lack of access to services, information and assistance? Harringay, firstly decide how you spell the name of the town, spelt HARRINGAY! on the map. I suggest you test several novices on the Haringey system, (BTW, don't tell the spelling, that will stump them right at the start) see how they fare without ANY instructions. See how they struggle?

I understand they've been brought to their knees with Tory cuts and austerity, but I'd actually rather they just put up a big sign saying 'COUNCIL CLOSED DUE TO FUNDING CUTS', than tried to carry on pretending to offer services they can't deliver. I'm only giving one star as no stars isn't an option. Very very frustrating.

1) Impossible to contact the council. 2)Paid for a permit to start last week, received no confirmation. 3) still receiving parking fines even though the permit stated Monday. Terrible service

The most expensive borough, yet the most useless. Nothing is taken seriously other than their service charges and council tax. The rubbish is never taken in time and most times a huge mess is left behind. Not to mention how we are now obligated to pay for visitor permits during event days!!! This should not be something the residents pay for!!

Called today to ask for more information about council policies and was met with a very rude customer adviser, Orlan. He spoke over me before I could even finish asking my question and explaining what info I am looking for. Took no time to understand the question and had a very rude tone - felt like he was moaning at me. When I asked why is he moaning at me, he got very offended, said he was going to cut the phone and then did. Like many of the other reviews here - he advised me to go online. Very bad customer service and staff with no training whatsoever. Poor.

What kind of a joke council is this!? I’ve been trying to challenge my PCN since mid December and every time I try it says “sorry an error occurred please try again later”. I emailed Councillor Tammy Palmer on the 25th December because I didn’t want this to go as not logged. It’s now the 14th Jan and I still haven’t had a response. I’ve called the PCN number today, the first option told me to “go back to the website”. I then called back and selected the option that I didn’t have the PCN number so that I could speak to someone. I was on hold for around 20 minutes and spoke to a man called Joshua. I asked him if the website is down and if everyone is having the same problem, he said yes. I asked if the website was being fixed and he said he “I don’t know. There are other people on hold darlin’ if the website is down, you’ll need to write to us. Aside from the fact that being called “darlin” is incredibly patronising, the whole show at Haringey Council seems to be a joke. I’ve been issued a ticket for a bay which has no restrictions displayed. I can see that there is an email address that has been attached as a response to a previous comment. Joshua told me this email address is no longer valid. Please can someone at Haringey Council reply to this to let me know what I should do and who will deal with this?

Haringey Council's communication skills is absolutely horrific. They leave thousands of tenants out of pocket and homeless. They lie, cheat and cover up all their mistakes at the expense of the roof's over people's heads. This council is unfortunately very much part of psychosocial problems. 10 thumbs down. Avoid like the plague or Ebola.

Told the only way of contact was by letter, ridiculous! Haringey council have received my recored letter in December, I provided my email address and contact number however I am still waiting on an acknowledgement! Phone service is automated and is NO help what so ever. Will be going to ombudsmen next week, appalling service.

would give minus if i could, completely useless in most departments, you hold for ages repeat yourself to different members of staff. even if you write to them you do not get a response until 5 days if you are lucky Just hopeless, this is nothing to do with cuts this bad organisation and bad training. Tried over the course of 8 months to resolve a noise and drug use complaint from a buisness by our house that is licensed until 11pm yet remains open until 1-2am. Had 1 response saying someone would get back to us in 10 days. That was 6 months ago. Useless.

You will be lucky to speak to an actual human. I did speak to someone back in July, but that was the last time. If you calling from a mobile they text a link and you to contact them this way. Parking services is a joke , I wanted to know about a certain procedure and they kept emailing the same thing. When I first made contact it took them 2 months to get back me and only via email , still waiting for an actual letter.

I would give no stars if I could. No business or corporation could get away with such a poorly over-engineered and under functional website. I have moved from the area and keep getting random bills written in a cryptic language that even a laywer cannot understand. Try to call to speak to a human and after a labrynth of automated bots and waiting 30 mins, keep getting cut off! If you've seen the movie Brazil then you will understand the dark and dystopian monolyth that is Haringey Council...

The worst ever council which could be! They make problems for you and don’t want a result anything, it looks like racists and thieves working there and all the staff who I spoke is so rude and absolutely unprofessional! I had experience with a difference Councils and never had such a bad experience, it’s a huge difference like ground and sky between those councils. I hope the government taking over off this cowboys council and will make people life easier as they get a salary from our taxes but looks like we are slaves for them.

Incompetent and appallingly bad service - so-called "customer service" keep you on hold for 30 mins before you get to talk to an operative who can't help. Unable to pay council tax or register to vote, as inept council refuse to contact Valuations Office to band my property.

The staff were not very helpful, when I needed it, all they care about is taking your money, they looked at you like your worthless, I was so upset about the service, that once I got to the comfort of my car, I cried my eyes out, as humanity is so bad, no care for others, I wasnt a experienced driver, just wanted someone to help

Certainly not impressed with this council, well we've only moved to the area for a few months and have been threatened about a late payment to the council tax, however, their bill arrives with royal mail delivery and a few weeks after the sent date. I found them extremely annoying even just to read through the print out context in the letter. Having read all the reviews here, it's so disappointing and I wonder what are we tax payers have paid into a bunch of people to cause us so much pain and trouble? In the end, I clarified the issue with them and the lady on phone was slightly impolite but she made everything very clear and it was helpful at least!

The worst council ever! I have emailed and called numerous amount of times for my council tax which has increased exactly 10 times more than last year when my household income has not increased at all, I will never get a response from them however they send out letters. When ever I need a repair they are fully booked for 2 months. They are absolute scammers!

The single worst planning department and local authority I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Beyond inept, and aggressive to boot. They should be ashamed of themselves, and I daresay they would be if they actually cared even a little bit about their local community. Well done Haringey, with these kind of people in place you can continue to torture and let down your community for years to come.

First thought is that whoever gives more than one star must be a council employee. I paid on the 21st April to purchase some visitors parking permits. They are of course really precise and spotless when it's down to take money off their poor inhabitants but when it's time to deliver the service that has been paid in advance well that's a completely different matter. If I take money off my costumer without delivering the service I will be fairly considered a thief and a scammer, why these Council crooks have a different treatment? They are a bunch of parasites only capable of ripping people off. They rip you off with parking tickets, with taking money for services they don't deliver and by taking a salary for what? Definitely not for doing their job.

Same experience - been trying to contact them for over a month. Don’t answer calls, or put you in a queue for 40 minutes, which most people can’t accommodate in working hours (only open 9-5). Emailed them - no response. Website doesn’t work - I gave up on it 2 years ago when it wouldn’t change my address from one Haringey property to another. Now I’ve got a court summons - first contact they have made!

In my eyes this council scams their inhabitants or ex-inhabitants. I lived in Haringey for 6 months and paid council tax each month. After 6 months my landlord increased my rent and I decided to move out of the area to another council and 2 weeks prior to my move I reported via the Haringey website, as it is meant to be according to them, that I will be leaving the area from Date-XY and will no longer be living at my previous Haringey address. However, there seemed to be an outstanding balance and instead of mailing me or calling me, the council kept on sending letters to my old address. After 6 months I then received an email from Haringey council asking for my new home address. This made me suspicious as this smelled a lot like a court order. So I called up Haringey and after numerous tries and being hanged up on and additional a 40 minute wait I finally spoke to an aggravated member of Haringey council staff . She then informed me that there was an outstanding amount of about £100. However, over the 6 months much more than that in court fees have built up, which I have to pay as well. I asked why they continued to send all the information to my old address, despite my 2 week in advance notice over 7 months ago that I moved away, instead of just emailing me like they just did to find out my new address. She just answered that they do not contact with phone and email (even though they just did to find out my new address) and that it is my fault for not letting them know my new address. I think it is completely unreasonable to send fully knowingly that I do not reside at my old address since date-XY in Haringey all requests for payment to that address, instead of emailing me and then emailing me half a year later and now I have to carry the court charges and the outstanding council tax 6 months later.

Thought i’d hit the jackpot getting through to a real human on the phone. She then proceeded to talk - sometimes shout - over me for the duration of our call, not letting me finish a sentence, and repeating herself over and over (despite the fact she turned out to be wrong when I finally got a word in). Never had a good experience with them on the phone.

Absolute JOKE of a council. They don't take any calls at all, the number literally says we can't take your call at the moment and hangs up on you. It has been like this for WEEKS. Directs you to My Account section (which I WOULD rather use, than attempting to speak to the useless employees) however it doesn't even work. Doesn't recognise my postcode within the Haringey borough !!! Why bother directing people to My Account and not even bothering to keep it up to date. I am moving out of Haringey (THANK GOD) but I now have no way of cancelling my council tax, no doubt which I'll probably be fined for when I cancel the DD payments. I would never actually live in Haringey again purely becausae I couldn't think of anything worse than dealing with this council. Whenever I have been into the council building, all the staff are rude and obnoxious, they all clearly hate their jobs, prioritise certain people over others and it's generally a very uncomfortable place to go.

Hi I would just like to say apart from Nicola at haringay complaints, how unhelpful they have been about redcorn ltd. Considering redcorn consistingly cause massive traffic problems that effect hundreds of people on a Friday,work late hours and through the weekend,staff abusive and often inconsiderate,have no concerns for local residents and generally make life hell for pensioners ...THEY SEEM UNTOUCHABLE. Starting a group to help these pensioners on media and social sites .. please follow????
