The reputable organization, but a cheater. I asked in the British Council in Madrid (Spain) if there's some kind of aid or simply discount on the exams to people with difficulties as unemployees or related in order to have access to education opportunities, and there's absolutely nothing about it. But the joke is the British Council describes themselves as a charity on their website in the next fashion: "The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities. A registered charity: 209131 (England and Wales) SC037733 (Scotland)". Cheaters lol.

#IELTS #examiners are #unfair! Statistically, majority of #IELTStest takers do score less in the #writing part of the #exam only! Probably, they are doing something #wrong or all #candidates are #ignorant?! #IELTSwriting #injustice

It doesn’t deserve a star seriously..I gave my IELTS for UKVI on 18th August in Ealing,Hammersmith & West London college..During my ielts listening module the sound box was terrible, making an annoying sound..I couldn’t even understand whole section it was that bad(previously I got 8.5 in listening,so obviously I’m not that bad)..& the room was also in very bad condition..The chair I was sitting on during my speaking test,it was broken..literally I couldn’t even move a inch without making a harsh sound..it was soooo embarrassing in front of the examiner..is that what u provide after taking £200 for just an exam??? It was way better in my country which is a devoloping country..how can your service be that bad In your own country ??!!!!

My IELTS test result is being withheld by test providers, whenever I called this people they are not ready to give a reasonable answer. This is really disappointing. I wish I will never have to sit for IELTS in future.

Did my IELTS exam recently and the whole experience was awful. The IELTS exam is outdated, written with a pencil on paper (it's not the 1980's anymore British Council!) and the whole exam structure is very poorly designed. During the exam, which takes roughly 6+ hours there are absolutely no breaks, not even 5 minutes. Because of this, if you want to, for example, use the toilet, you need to sacrifice your test time to do so, otherwise they wont let you out. When you go and come back from the toilet your details will be written down twice, you'll be patted down and searched with a metal detector. This takes a chunk out of your test time!!! Additionally, there is no access to drinking water! When I asked two staff members about water, they both pointed me to the PUBLIC TOILET TAP!! Not kidding! Also, there is no access to snacks or food and if you take yours, you won't be allowed to take them in. This means 6 hours (8:30am to 2:30pm) with no food or water! Not to even mention a coffee!! Being hungry and thirsty while writing a demanding exam is not a good combination! British Council's customer service was non-existent. My complaint (following the exam conditions) was handled badly and in the end they just stopped responding and ignored my emails. I scored 8.0 - C1 band, so not bad, but if I ever need to do another English language test I will go for a more modern alternative. Definitely not IELTS.
