Incompetent. Not a fit and proper regulator to protect the public from harm. Allows it's nurses to operate beyond the scope of their expertise and carries out a biased investigation in which they were quite clearly reasoning backwards from the outset with every intention of finding in favour of their nurses, rather than on the evidence. The matter has been passed to relevant ngo's for investigation.

Just a scam organisation who scam poor hard working Nurses and Midwifes out of their poultry wages which are shrinking every year as inflation increases and the wages stay the same. Time for a new Body to step in and get rid of these crooks. Time for a body who represnt nurses fairly and honestly. No Stars.

Unhelpful thieves. Just another excuse to take money from Nurses and Midwives that earn pitiful wages and have no mercy with spreading the cost of the £120 registration fee when you are struggling financially. Horrible organisation that is there to supposedly protect the public but doesn't give a toss about its members.

Not fit to regulate midwives as they have given contradicting advice and clearly do not understand the unique relationships required between midwife and expectant mother to achieve the best outcomes. I would rate them zero if it were an option

Every time I try to go on the NMC website it is down with no explanation and you cannot email as no reply which is an appalling service when you think of the yearly expensive annual registration fee for no apparent benefit for me... I have been trying to revalidate for the last two weeks but when tried cannot get on.... When you do get on it is hard tortuous poorly designed layout that is not easy to use... Why are we paying for a service that is poor

As a nurse who returned to practice after 10 years away, I noticed how poor this is. The ENB, 10 years ago ran accredited courses for nurses, had helplines , were engaged.
Today , we have the NMC. It collects £130 a year, demands a 'portfolio' three feet thick, terrorises nurses with its hearings and as for as I can see, only used my £130 to prosecute nurses.

I brought a complaint to the attention of the NMC but they did not even acknowledge the complaint. Just another organisation which is corrupt, abusive, complacent and secretive. I don't even want to give it a star. People paid to do nothing, clearly.

There is a reason why nurses are on shortage of occupation and the reason is the NMC. Completely unacceptable timelines. It takes 6 months for a nurse to come just because of your lack of efficiency.
