No recycling collection for the second week in our road. Can't get hold of anyone, automatic phone system tells me to report it online, online it says that no-one at the council provided a collection day for it road in the system and I should call the number, which tells me... to report it online and again just hangs up. Tried different council numbers, I never reach a person. Only the automated system. Ridiculous.

The street I park on I have parking permit since 2014 now they have put on parking permit board only residential parking btwn 9am to 4am so I come home late night, someone had parked on my parking space without permit so I had no choice but to park on the same road elsewhere next day I get pcn ticket, so I decided to challenge the ticket which of course they refused to cancel stating there was no valid permit... I rang the company I hold current permit with and they told me I was given parking ticket from Barnet council and the company I have my permit with are parking management control so that means I need to have 2 different parking permit. Work hard earn less but pay out a lot, thanks Barnet council.

Extremely bad about picking trash up where people throw it down. Flytipping around us is also really bad but they pick this up and still don't pick up litter laying about.

Absolute scam of a council! A scourge on London as a city. They've deliberately put cameras up in order to catch people unaware and trapped in the yellow box with no other alternative. They then go ahead and issue a PCN with a £130 slap in the face and have the audacity to reduce it by 50% if paid within 14 days. How generous (!) Absolutely disgraceful and shameful!

I have been contacting barnet council highway maintenance department for over 3 month now we have a disable bay which is incomplete. we have a pole but no drawing on the floor. all i keep receiving is reference number but and nothing else.

Horrible and uneducated employees! After 6 years having business permit and paying nearly £600 annually this is second time in this year (2020) that i am receiving tickets on my car in business car park! After i call them to ask why did i got ticket they asked me to appeal against it but this is not my fault and even they don't try to fix it to not give me a headache to not receive any more tickets! If i have to appeal so those people who they made a mistake what should they do!

I would give 0 stars if I could. The Barnet couldn't care less about the people. I have raised a complain on the website. Never got any response. I called good 10 times asking for an update. They said someone would get back to me. Never happened. Completely ignored. I think everyone should stop paying council tax as a form of protest. Maybe then they would show more respect for the taxpayers.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. 6 months so far of trying to sort out my council tax account and ALL I WANT TO DO is be able to pay my council tax every month, like a normal person. Sounds incredibly simple, I know, but I can assure you it's not when you live in LBB. First my council tax was set up for the wrong house (no idea how), so I spent months trying to get it changed to the right house. To date, I have never received any documentation (despite 15 requests from me, and 15 assurances that they had 'issued a paper bill') so I have absolutely no idea how much I owe - and obviously no means of paying it without the account details either. Which I'm guessing is probably affecting my credit rating by now as well. The online portal setup doesn't work for my account, and neither does the Direct Debit form, with both pointing me to 'contact the Council for assistance', which I have now done 18 TIMES with no resolution (including 2 formal complaints which were simply closed without them contacting me or actually fixing the problem). I work long hours on weekdays and refuse, on principle, to take a day off work to physically go to the LBB office to sort this out. But whenever I try to call, the phone line is either busy or gets disconnected. Not that speaking to a person helps anyway. So here I am again, filling in yet another form which probably won't be acknowledged by anybody.

Do I have this right? We have always paid council tax as part of bin collecting. Now they want £70 a year for the green bin. I thought with what's going on they would delay this scheme for now.People are lucky enough to have a garden are obviously...using green bin more in isolation yet I just received a message reminding me to pay by 9th may.talk about kick us whole we are down.

Lazy, inefficient, incompetent. Tried to report what I believe is an illegal dropped kerb and gave them the address. They wanted pictures before they were prepared to go and check. If they had any sense they wouldn't even have to leave the building, just check their records. Maybe they don't keep any records, but they certainly employ lazy idiots. If they were a business they would have gone bust years ago. No stars

Almost any contact I had with Barnet council left me with a bad experience, compare to other councils, I think the customer service is very poor, recently I received a PCN that was sent to the wrong old address, immediately I contacted the Parking department, and did not receive any response for 3 months, again despite informing them that the address is wrong , they sent and address all correspondence using old address, finally they sent a debt recovery to my new address and forced/threatened me to pay £408 at 7AM in the morning, Robin Moorwood is real piece of work, when you email his department you just get a copy/pasted letter saying rubbish not dealing with the issue/question you raised at all. I wonder how much of the money they get with these Debt recovery companies will be spent on people of barnet area, Appalling service and poor customer service

About time an officer or elected member tried to use this apualing automated answering service. Does recognise names, no use if the name is difficult to pronounce either. Then when you get through to planning you're asked to call another number for building control. Terrible service. How come if you've first in the que no one answers the call after waiting over 10 minutes? Then theres the terrible interval repetitive tune or rather noise. Councillors pull your fingers out and sort the customer front end service, after all I pay for it!

I would give minus stars if possible, the disgusting lack of professionalism from these people who work in the council are worse than anything you can imagine. I reported a abandoned​ car to them with no effort made. 4 weeks later the car is still there blocking parking spaces for residents. When I spoke with the lady on the phone she told me the car wasn't reported. 5 minutes into the conversation she told me is has been reported but couldn't tell me when. Then went on to be rude and unprofessional telling me that this can take up to 8 weeks. After I questioned her about weather the car is in the system or not she started to raise her voice and telling me I don't understand. I mean what's not to understand you got caught out lying. All these people that work in the council dont care about the area just the wage they get for being utterly useless and a waste of space. Also she mentioned that the council have no ability to do anything about this issue I reported which shocks me as apparently it's outta there hands. All in all if you ever have any issues don't call or bother with the council you would get more from just dealing with it yourself.

Applied for the disabled persons freedom pass as i have become epileptic after my traumatic brain injury; and they have rejected the evidence i have supplied for the proof of my epilepsy, and that evidence is the formal diagnosis from my neurologist at the national hospital of neurology... just another hurdle that i have to find a way to jump over. Absolute joke.

I'd give it minus 6 stars. We moved to this borough 2 months ago. My autistic son is waiting for school placement 2 months now. Despite his paperwork was received by Barnet exactly 2 months ago nothing has been done. His SEN caseworker constantly unavailable, doesn't help, does not explain my son's school options. Does not do what she's asked for (contacting schools). From the way she deals with his case I clearly can say that she never bothered to read his EHC Plan. Arranged visiting only once by this time with wrong school. The council does not help with support of single parents like myself while the child is waiting for school placement. I wish I know where to report this...

It must be the worst council in the whole of England. I moved out of the borough for two months now and I informed them of my moving date and paid for any outstanding bills. They are now sending me invoices to my NEW address that is OUTSIDE the borough asking me to pay for next year's Council Tax. What a joke of a borough!!

Received a PCN notice when making a delivery to a school. On the video (their's) caretaker can clearly be seen coming to on gate. When challenged, I'm asked for proof of delivery, which I provide. Then receive a second demand letter stating that I'd not made a Representation, even though I have a reply from Robin Moorwood Parking Compliance Manager? Also totally agree with Hilary's previous comment, 3 times I've gonr through the process of trying to call, only to be 'cut off'!

New bin schedule. Same Barnet Council. My parents with severe disabilities are still waiting for a collection and they have NO information despite submitting an online complaint as requested. This has happened twice. If I did this in my job I'd be fired.

I have spent more than 30 mins trying to call Barnet Council in order to report about of no collection of blue bin. It's impossible to get hold of anyone and all the auto messages are just ridiculous simply telling you of what you know already and then hanging up. They need to get their act together and provide a proper service and someone whom one can speak to.

they have made it extremely difficult to navigate their teletphone system and even harder to actually speak with a representative. Having previously sent them several emails without reply i then called and spent over two hours trying to make contact. i was then told i was unable to make a complaint and that it would not make any difference. i was also incorrectly told there was no office in london that i could visit.
