Avoid! This has to be the worst garage that I have ever had dealings with. Sold me a Ford Kuga that had electrical problems, refused a rejection until they had a chance to fix it. They delayed repairs and sent me to another garage. The fault still has not been fixed. The sales manager ignores me and made loads of broken promises, then the branch manager did the same........ They won’t authorise another garage within the company to do the repairs. Promised compensation but then refused to speak to me and never sent it. Can’t believe they get away with selling faulty cars and their customer services is a joke.

I'm sure the staff here ride horses, swing lassoos and shout ''Yee Haaaa' as they are just cowboys . I was booking in to look at a £26K car at 1300. I arrived just before and stood at the 'Welcome desk'. After 3 minutes, nobody came and so I actually phones the dealership and explained that I was waiting to been seen to, and then someone quickly came to welcome me .I explained that I was here for a 1300 test drive and was told that I'd have to wait as nobody was available ( what's the point in making an appointment???). After 15 minutes, I went back to the welcome desk and asked if he knew how long I'd be waiting. He said 'No'. Therefore I politely told him that I will be leaving as I'm not prepared to be messed around. Really disappointed as it is a car I really wanted, but if this is how they are before you've even purchased it, what will they be like once they have your money???

Sales person made empty promises and we had to return the car for a chipped windscreen and to be cleaned inside properly, also promised car mats which we had to battle for in the end. Very very poor after sales service, car has going back in for the 5th time with the same issue, it's almost like they don't know what they are doing or don't want to fix it. Evans Halshaw are too big to care, Avoid where possible. This has been the worst car buying experience.

Phoned before I set off from Northampton to see a used Fiesta. Told its ready to view. Booked in for 7.00pm viewing. Drove there only to find its not ready, not been cleaned, covered in bird poo, blocked in so can't drive it - after a 5 min walk to the compound. Then she's got the wrong keys. Basically it was OK, so I said I was interested but wanted it cleaned first and a test drive and a scrape / dent sorting. Told me I would have to put a deposit on it to stop it getting sold, which I wouldn't till it was cleaned and I could see and drive it. Next day they called and said they cleaned it but someone had bought it strait away.

WARNING! Awful customer service skills! i have had nothing but problems with the vehicle i brought from this dealership over 4 months ago and none of the problems have been resolved! i have rang 9/10 times requesting to speak to the person who sold me the car and have never once had a call back which i find rude! All i've had is stress for an over priced car which the longer i spend time with the more i find wrong with it, I would not recommend buying from this dealership!!

I went to sell my car to eavans halshaw becuase thay gave me a 1029 quote for my car how ever when i went there they only offered me 572 half the amount they quoted me and they also said they price match the price from we buy any car the price on the website was guving me 705 which they didnt match so had a very bad experience and wouldent go there again

One star off for the disorganisation; hadn't booked my appointment in properly, therefore hadn't got car ready to test drive and then couldn't find key but can't fault the salesman Miles, really enthusiastic. knowledgable and friendly guy, should be a prerequisite for the job, but often isn't! Even pointed out a small dent that hadn't been noticed on pick-up which they could quite easily have ignored. Car was ready in less than 24 hours.

I rang Evan Halshaw Leicester for a quote for a new key as I was told by Sandicliffe it would be well over £500 and that they'd need my car for 1 month. Evan Halshaw put us in the right direction and told us Sandicliffe was wrong and it can be done for £250 and it can be done within a few hours. So we went ahead and ordered the key and booked the car. A few days later we rang to confirm that we were still coming for it to be done to be told that they didn't have the key as the guy didn't order it! so we spoke to the manager and told us they'd knock £50 off and pick the car up and drop it off as well as give me a courtesy car as I live in Nottingham and it isn't practical to just travel to Leicester when they say so due to work which was helpful of them! So then it all got arrange and sorted for two weeks after that date. We then get a call the day before its meant to be in saying that they haven't got the key again! As an 18 year old girl who has not long passed her test with one key to her car that isn't a central locking one, I went to Ford to get this done so it'd be safer and easier for me to get into the car but ever since contacting them its just been a load of empty promises! Not good. Wish i'd have read the reviews before hand!

Worst garage I have come accross. Saw a car I liked online so phoned up and left a deposit only to get a call 45mins later to say the car had been sold to someone else. After a complaint I got the car. Traveled down from the west coast of Scotland to get the car approximate 350miles to find the car had not been serviced. So was told by the sales man that there garage would arrange a service at a local Evan Halshaw. On the drive back home I got as far as Glasgow and fuel start to leak from the car and the clutch was Slipping. So I abandoned my journey and stayed the night in a b&b. The next morning I took the car to Evans Halshaw Glasgow next day who have been great. They identified it needed a new clutch and fuel filter but needed the Leicester garage to authorise this. After 4 days of unanswered email and calls from the Leicester garage I had to put a complaint before they would authorise this. Thinking while the car is in the garage I should get the missing service done I spoke with Glasgow who were happy to do the service but yet again needed authorisation from Leicester after a number of emails and calls from both Glasgow and myself it is now 2 weeks on and Leicester still haven't replied to athorise the service. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM LEICESTER BRANCH OF EVANS HALSHAW THEY WILL MESS YOU ABOUT.

I suffered 10 months of misery since the day I bought a used car from this dealership. I will never buy a car from any Evans Halshaw dealership ever again. I would urge other people to be extremely careful doing business with them. The car I bought from them had problem after problem and was returned that many times I have lost count. Faults were incorrectly diagnosed or not repaired properly. One time I collected the car from their service department the pipe between the turbo and intercooler had been left unsecured and on another occasion the brake fluid cap had been left dangling inside the engine bay. Staff are unprofessional and untrustworthy. Don't get ripped off like I did. AVOID!!!

Disappointed with this branch of Evans Halshaw - About a month ago they advertised a 2007 Fiesta 1.6 TDCI Zetec Cimate priced at £3523, I called to express my interest, I asked was the price negotiable and could the vehicle be moved to another site closer to where I live if I payed the £200 deposit. Anyway the Salesman said that the vehicle was competitively priced against other dealers in the area and he couldn't offer moving the car to another site as there wasn't enough money in the car. A week or so later the car dropped in price to £3323, I called again and said I would be happy to buy the car for £3000, once again the salesman declined my offer. A couple of days later the car was taken off sale, then yesterday I see it advertised on Autotrader with an independent garage in Cannock priced for £2990. Evans Halshaw obviously sent it to auction and probably sold for peanuts!

What a bunch of idiots! Wasted 3 hours of my day for them to tell me of a problem I already knew and told them about in the first place. When I originally booked the appointment I was told the assessment was free, only to be told it was actually £45, which I accepted as I told them to go ahead and fix it once they had carried out the assessment. 2 hours 45 mins later I'd had enough of waiting, so I went back in, which is when they then told me what I had previously told them AND they still hadn't fixed the problem, despite me authorising it! I got quite agitated and quite frankly told them how poor the customer service was and that I would be getting it sorted at the other Fraud, sorry, Ford dealership, and to be fair to the woman I was talking to, she stayed very calm throughout (probably used to dealing with disappointed customers). £45 poorer and no nearer to getting my car fixed. Would give them no stars if I could, but have to, so disregard the one star I must give, because they're not even worth it.

UPDATE ON THIS COMPANY WHO TRADED A STOLEN CAR: THE POLICE INFORM ME: ON 24th NOVEMBER 2015 EVANS HALSHAW COMPLETED TWO VIN CHECKS WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF EACH OTHER. THE TWO VINs WERE LISTED ON THE SAME CAR WHICH EVANS HALSHAW SOLD ME. ONE ON THE WINDSCREEN AND ONE ON THE DOOR. THE CHECK ON THE VIN LISTED ON THE WINDSCREEN STATED THE CAR WAS STOLEN. I HAD TAKEN THE CAR INTO EVANS HALSHAW ON THAT DATE BECAUSE THE DVLA HAD NOT ISSUED ME WITH THE V5 LOG BOOK. I ASKED EVANS HALSHAW TO COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK ON THE CAR. THEY COMPLETED THE CHECKS AND TOLD ME THEY WERE CLEAR. EVANS HALSHAW LEICESTER SENT ME AWAY FROM THEIR DEALERSHIP DRIVING A STOLEN CAR. THEY KNEW THIS CAR WAS STOLEN. THEY SAID NOTHING. THE MOST DISGRACEFUL PEOPLE. THE AREA MANAGER WROTE TO ME AND STATED THE COMPANY HAD FOLLOWED THEIR POLICIES IN SELLING THIS VEHICLE. I PRESUME THAT POLICY IS TO DESTROY BACKGROUND CHECKS FROM EXPERIENCE THAT STATE A CAR IS STOLEN. THEY THEN SOUGHT TO COVER-UP THIS MATTER OVER THE NEXT 2 YEARS. THE NET IS NOW CLOSING IN ON THE DISHONEST AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOURS!

My issue with Evans Halshaw continues. They still refuse to take responsibility for selling me a stolen car. They have not answered any of the following: Why they bought a car in part exchange on 16th March 2015 yet the background Experian check was dated 18th March 2015? Why they did not show me this check before I bought the car? Why they sold a car with mileage anomalies decreasing from 14000 to 6000 in 4 months? Why they bought a car with no paperwork and then resold it? Why they repeatedly ignored my requests for the background check on the car? Why the sales person said the background was clear when the DVLA did not issue a v5 log book? Why they sold a car with a stolen VIN - and the Experian check cites the VIN number does not match the car's registration - IT WOULDN'T BECAUSE THE CAR WAS STOLEN! In my opinion the reason you have failed to answer any of the above is because you closed ranks. When you eventually did share the Experian check, it distinctly looks like it's been tampered with and there's missing information. That's one for the police and Trading Standards. And why you have ignored my request for a refund and reasonable compensation. It is now 8 months since the police recovered this car. And still the arrogant stance of this company refuses to accept its duty of care, legal responsibility and moral responsibility. Disgraceful people!

Only dealt with service, not sales. Had to take vehicle in 4 times to be told very little. 1st visit told I had oil leaks that needed further investigation. On 2nd occasion they didn't do anything except tell me I needed to take car away & clean engine before bringing back to them for further inspection. The privilege of which I paid £50 for, don't see why they couldn't have told me that after the 1st inspection and not wasted their and my time on the 2nd trip. On 3rd trip given the exact same report as the 1st and told car needed to be booked in for further investigation. When I pointed out that's what it was in for there was very little in way of apology, but staff did endeavour to help, no charge for fourth "inspection" which finally yielded more fruit, but alas further expensive investigation required to get to the bottom of it, not their fault but could've achieved that result in a single visit. Overall, pleasant company to deal with, nice staff on front desk but unless its the most simple of work required will take it to a garage where I can have a face to face conversation with a mechanic and not have to interface via the "service desk" who can't answer more than a simple question without having to refer back to the mechanics.

Yep - wish I had read the other reviews for this dealership before buying a car from them. Terrible customer service, nothing happened when they said it was goping to, car wasn't ready we'd arranged to collect. They sold me a car with defective brakes so had to go back for further work and they're still not fixed properly now. Bought the car in May and its now August and I'm stuill waiting for a refund of the £100 they overcharged me on the advertsied price.
