I have been buying cars from GCS for 14 years now , no they have not always been perfect ,yes I've had a few problems with a couple of cars,but when you buy a used car that's exactly what your getting , any issues I have had with my cars the team at Granby have always sorted it out, they even give you a loan car FREE , no they are not the top of the range cars but they work, they are reliable. The team here are all approachable, friendly ,helpful & supportive when you need them . I would recommend this garage to anybody .

Be careful and do not trust this garage.
Do not buy a car from this garage as the cars look great but have lots of hidden problems under the bonnet.
They hide behind their poor legal representation as soon as you inquire about a fault with the car.
All seemed well during sale of an 'excellent 35k miles car'. Soon after a disturbing engine noise developed (and has deteriorated since) so I contacted GCS. They promised to investigate and they did a basic oil change. Another garage recommended to take it back again under warranty and return it - as the noise should not have occurred from such low mileage wear and tear. It could fail at any point, at which I will need to replace the engine.
I gave G.C.S two attempts of repair and they both failed. For the second repair, after ignoring my letters till the point I visited the office and was told they 'took no heed' of my concerns, they attempted to bully me into paying £500 myself through their legal team, who also told me I ought to have inspected the internal engine components at purchase which is completely wrong as I'm not a mechanic and the law states if a fault occurs within the first 6 months it is assumed to have been there at purchase. I had to remind them of how the vehicle did not meet their description and that the hydraulic lifter wear was not reasonable considering the wear and tear of a 35K mile car irrespective of its age (as multiple mechanics advised me). The way that G.C.S hid behind their legal team as soon as I questioned it was an indicator that there had been dishonesty for me.
I then tried to exercise my right to return the vehicle for a refund and I was again told to get lost by their Z list legal firm that didn't even understand the consumer rights act. They told me I had no right to reject after the initial 3 weeks (which of course I did because I chose the repair route!). They lied to me and stated the deteriorating engine noise was 'characteristic' (even though it's a petrol that sounds like an asthmatic tractor after smoking a cigar) and that the repair of the vehicle before was nothing more than a goodwill gesture. The emails from their professional legal representation were patronizing, rude and misleading when, until then, both parties were polite and amicable (credit where it is due to the sales team) despite their reluctance to help. I am currently in contact with trading standards and Trust My Garage to inform them of their conduct.

If I could give 0 out of 5 I really would I genuinely feel like I have been ripped off by this garage and now am stuck with a car I have on finance that had faults from the day I got it home. Didn't even have the car for 24 hours before the engine malfunction light came on now 2 years down the line I'm still spending money on this car it's getting more and more into debt. I honestly think that they knew the car was dodgy and just wanted rid of it. DO NOT USE!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE COULDN'T CARD LESS.

I went here about 2 years ago and it'll never escape my mind what happened on that forecort.
I was inspecting a Fiesta TDCI and the car had obvious problems, the seller wouldn't keep his mouth shut for a second when we was inspecting it. The car had a crankshaft pulley noise, or another pulley issue. When mentioned to the person with me, the seller immediately went rude and said a demeaning comment about being pedantic. You wanted £2,500+ for a 2005 Fiesta TDCI with just under 100,000 miles. We ended up taking it for a test drive, which he never accompanied us on, and never gave us trade plates, therefore we were uninsured!
We then pulled up around the corner from the garage, and inspected the car thoroughly. Without his comments, then noticed the car had crash damage to the offside sill, with overspray all through the car rubbers. His tactic of constant unnecessary talk was to put us off inspecting the car.
It doesn't come as a surprise that the owner of the business used to be a director of Derek Curtis Cars.

Really disappointed with Granby cars. Brought a car less than 6 months ago for just under £6,000- had two AA call outs already. The most recent was an expensive cambelt replacement. I phoned the garage to explain the situation when I’d broken down and was hastily told I wasn’t covered as it was not considered a ‘serviceable part’. no help was offered and then I was redirected to call ford directly..? The moral of this is the fact I had paid for an additional warranty for 12 months and when I mentioned this I was still told I wasn’t covered. Iv lost faith in a company I once trusted- I will not be returning to GCS nor will I be recommending it to anyone. I am in the process of checking all the small print of the extra warranty I was sold which at the time of sale sounded so promising. Thanks again ..

Sales man comes out immediately talking non-stop to prevent you from looking over the car thoroughly. Car ended up having crash damage and had a bodge repair job.
If a salesman don't stop talking to allow you to look over the car properly, walk away.

Paid for car then found faults that should've been picked up by mot tester but his guide dog had the day off. AVOID at all costs as once they have your money they're not interested in you. I would not recommend this car sales. I'm surprised they're still in business.

I am writing this review to express my appreciation for the excellent after care I recently received from Granby Cars Sales. I purchased a black BMW 330D in January. At the point of sale, I was encouraged to purchase their additional extended warranty. However, I declined, as I have had BMWs before and found them to be very reliable. In fact I had part-exed a BMW 325ci which I owned for 3 years which never missed a beat in the time I owned it. Then soon after purchase, the unthinkable happened. The car developed problems. It was throwing up all sorts of fault messages on the dash board and on occasion would fail to start. The fault was diagnosed as a faulty ECU. This was around £1000 to put right. Luckily for me, Granby Cars Sales, paid for and fitted the new ECU without any quibble. I was still within the 90 day statutory warranty. Only just….If it had developed the fault a week later, it would have been down to me to put right as I had declined the extended warranty. I would like to say that my car is now running as it should with the new ECU fitted.
I would like to praise Granby Car Sales for their integrity and would have no hesitation in recommending them in the future.
