Re. Ravensbridge Drive, Leicester site: Unfortunately, I can't write anything positive about the experience we have had with this garage for the past 18 months or so.. My partners car has been with the garage for over a month for remedial works - this is the second time this year with what appears to be the same/similar engine fault. She calls but every time the manager isn't available. On calling, every time he is "in a meeting" and my partner is advised that they will call back - the returned call never happens. Leaving us to ponder and call back a few days later when we muster up the courage, knowing full well a similar response will be issued. It's tiring and you end up going around in circles time after time.. Today she called and got the old "he's in a meeting". She then spoke to another advisor and they stated that he is caring for his child who is sick, therefore isn't at work.. These people either don't communicate and/or lie through their teeth to avoid issues. My partners car has been off the road for two months and counting. After sales treatment is beyond poor.

The staff they are extremely ignorant. I have tried to buy 2 cars from here over the past two years, one for myself & one for my son & on both occasions the staff just can’t be bothered to make any effort to move some cars out the way for a test drive or even talk to you about the cars & answer any questions I would never bother even going there again wasting my time. A disgrace to the Ford brand name they are.

Poor customer service more bothered about the coffee machine. Even though no customers around and try to fob you off with wrong information always do your research before you go. I have used the service previously which was good.customers are allowed to change there mind which car they want

Stay clear. Poor customer service and after sales care. Unfortunately bought a car from them, even though it perhaps would have been easier to extract blood from a stone. Needed to know why they reset the service indicators on the car I bought as there was no paper work to suggest they serviced the car. Again, it would have been perhaps easier to get blood from a stone. They refused to answer any questions or give me any reassurances. Awful service overall. Stay away at all costs!

Buyers be aware! Miss-sold gap insurance. Tried to sort it out but they aren’t interested and tell you to contact a different company. Also told them 12,000 miles per year and they put down 6,000 so me resale value was less when I wanted to change cars. If I could give less than 1 Star I would

Visited yesterday (28th Sep 2019) for a test drive. We arrived for our test drive and were greeted by two staff members who advised us the assigned sales person for our test drive wasn’t there, but to wait a few minutes. Not a problem. But after that, it was all bad. Really bad. Before we sat down to wait, one sales person, began giggling like a child, saying that if our sales person doesn’t turn up, he can test drive us. The manager said, no. And promptly began looking for him. While we were waiting, I noticed somebody in one of their cars for sale, I said to my partner that I bet he’s there working away and lost track of time. In any case, the manager went outside looking for him. Came back with a different sales person, who asked which car we are test driving. Before he went to get the keys, I asked if he’ll drive me or the other one who was giggling away? He said that he will drive us. We said that’s fine. When he went away, we heard him tell the manager that there’s a ‘10minute rule’. E.g if the assigned sales person is away, then another can poach their customer. At this point, we were ready to leave. We are potential customers. If they wanted to bicker, they can do so in private. Anyway - in the way out, the original assigned sales member bumps into us. Turns out it was him that I saw from the waiting area. He was baffled by all the confusion. I asked whether he knew we were booked in for a test drive. The car, a clio, had ‘wiper motor’ written on the wind screen. I asked what this meant. He said, we must have changed it. So we asked if he has a list of repairs they’ve done. He said that he’ll be able to show us later. The car had minor scratches but drove fine. He didn’t know how the parking sensors worked which is a shame. But the worst was the discussion back at the office. I asked how many previous owners? He said two. So I asked what were they like? Smokers? Short or long journeys? He said he can’t tell us because of ‘data protection’. This is hilarious considering they had our personal details on their system from an enquiry we made years ago. So I asked for a list of the work they’ve done. Because I’m keen to know which wiper motor was changed. He couldn’t find the paperwork. Then suggested it was probably done before they bought the car. So I’m sorry, but why does it have ‘wiper motor’ still written on the windscreen? I asked to see the checklist of the 120 point check they did. The paperwork was missing. He just asked us to trust that “any work that needed to be done, was done to the best standard”. I genuinely just wanted to know whether we need to think about brake pads or an oil change soon. He had NO idea. We asked at least to see the service book to see when it was last serviced. Again, it had no stamps. He then confessed that all the lack of knowledge points to the probability that it was bought from auction. All makes sense now. I just asked, very simply, is it possible that there’s been a big part replacement and nobody would know? He said yes. Finally, an honest answer. Also on the way back, I had another look at the car and I noticed the cars rear bumper has been replaced or fitted incorrectly. So it’s obvious, Evans Halshaw buy cars and they don’t know the provenance of them. They pass on this risk to customers. They offer you a guarantee service plane - advert shows 1 or 2 year options, but only 2 year options are available.

I'm absolutely disgusted at the attitude and lack of help I've just received from Natalie at the Leicester branch. Firstly, let me point out that I'd actually called the contact centre asking to talk to someone about a New Ford that I'd seen advertised on the website. I was disappointed to be put through to a used car department but it was made worse by the fact that Natalie was unable to connect me back with the contact centre or transfer me to a new car department. I have since called back 6 times to the contact centre, all times it rang until I heard a recorded message, then silence for minutes. I have therefore given up.

Avoid this place as much as you can. The After you receive is horrendous. I wouldnt wish what I've been through with this place on my worst enemy. Trying to even get through to the person you want is impossible. Without naming names this one guy didn't return my call after leaving messages with the receptionist. I tried ringing him throughout the day. He was avoiding me at all costs!

Avoid their service department it is absolute rubbish. Paid £369 for a service plan consisting of major service and minor service only to find out they had done two minor services. No point arguing as they will always find a way to blame it on the customer. They put down on the system that major service has been done which is false as the paper work I’ve been given says otherwise. Additionally car was purchased with squeaking noise coming from driver belt was only told last week by Vauxhall that this squeaking noise isn’t normal. Even after another mechanic mentioned this I took it back to the technicians in Leicester and still they didn’t mention anything. Technicians at this branch are absolute rubbish. SELLING FAULTY CARS. The manager then replies and says you didn’t tell us to investigate a squeaking noise and I didn’t intentially because the fact the technicians didn’t mention anything just goes to show you have rubbish they are and how they always find a way to blame it on the customer rather than accepting fault.

Wide range of used cars are available here, however, price negotiation is not encouraged. They are a proper ford dealership, and do the work to give us best value for our money. Nevertheless, not so helpful when we approach them for the warranty and guarantee offered by them during the time of purchase.

I must say my experience was a good one. From arranging a test drive to actually purchasing a vehicle. Every time I phoned it was answered immediately and put through to someone who could help. Such a difference from most main dealers I have visited whilst looking for a car.

Have had our car for a week now without being able to fix the fault and are now saying it needs to go to a vauxhall specialist but are unable to provide a hire car so as a family of 6 we are unable to travel anywhere including work! And the communication is very poor

I poped in as I was interested in a few of the cars. I was walking around outside the dealership looking at cars and no one approached me. I came inside and was waiting at the welcome desk and nobody came. In the end I left. If this is the service before you buy a car what's it going to be like after? I won't be returning to this dealer.

Would not recommend!! Bought a car from them in December, had an issue with it. Finally was fixed today (June 15th), when picked car up interior of car was covered in dirty hand prints, dash, seats, handles. Courtesy car was so dirty couldn't see out windows, rubbish in car. Obviously vehicles are not checked properly before being issued. Overall very poor customer services and trading standards have been informed.

I was sold a used car not even 12 months ago and have had a lot of trouble with it, I paid £500 for 2 years extended warranty when purchased, but nothing that’s gone wrong with the vehicle seems to be covered by this warranty. In fact we were never told what is or is not covered, Even things that have been happening since the sale are not covered, Leaving myself out of pocket quite often, will deffinately never be using these again.

Bought my car from here at the end of December last year. After a few slight problems with the car initially, I had to bring it back and everything was addressed including refurbishing the alloys which now mean my mini looks in mint condition! Sarah was great even organised a loan car for me for the duration, completely free of charge.

I couldn't be happier with the customer service I received at Evans Halshaw Leicester and the car I bought. I don't normally write reviews but after my service I felt compelled to. Normally I also avoid car showrooms because I feel I will be forced into buying things I don't want to. None of this applied here and if I have any queries regarding swapping my car, they are always to give me quotes even if I'm not ready to swap at that moment in time. Superb is all I can say!

Just bought a car from here and couldn't be happier. The sales woman wasn't pushy at all and all the staff were helpful and approachable. I'd had an absolute disaster at other garages but this experience has completely changed my mind. I'll definitely be buying my next car from them and have recommended a friend already. Thank you for making what I thought would be such a stressful purchase in to such an easy and enjoyable one. Professionalism and customer service was exceptional!

I've been looking around a lot of dealerships, but this was the best car dealership I've been to. The woman who sold me my car was very friendly and helpful, and I didn't feel harassed and uncomfortable like the other places I'd been too. Overall, the customer service was brilliant and I highly recommend this place to buy your cars from. ;)

Terrible experience, considering how far they know I'd travelled. Firstly, I was told I would have been offered a drink, but they've ran out of cups. Fair enough, it happens. Secondly, they couldn't find my appointment on the system because the person who had took my call had spelt my name incredibly wrong. When it came to discussing part exchange, I was told that the quote I had been sent from their website didn't mean anything when it came to part exchange, and to expect a lower figure. So essentially, they would give me more cash for my car than trade in value. This makes no logic. Eventually, when the car was fetched, it wouldn't start. EVEN THOUGH the guy had brought it round from where it was pitched. So he went to fetch a battery pack. However, he struggled to attach that, and put the positive cable on the negative battery connection, and then proceeded to try and attach the negative cable to a bolt in the cars bodywork, which caused sparks. I had to tell and show him he had put them on wrong. When we eventually got the car started, it had no fuel. Literally, no fuel. I know dealers like to run them empty to save money, but how am I supposed to take it for a test drive, when the range literally says 0? All in all, a bit of a kerfuffle throughout, and a total waste of time.

Had problems after a service, awful customer service received from the evans halshaw customer service team. However James Prentice at this dealership made me feel valued as a customer and did his up most to resolve the problem. Absolutely the best member of staff I have ever dealt with at Evans Halshaw. Thank you

AVOID AVOID AVOID. A great example of EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. Paid £200 refundable deposit to have a car moved to Leicester with a view to purchase, the sales pitch was both chaotic and hurried. The forecourt is over crowded and another sales rep swore at me when they couldn't get a car out and so I opted out of the sale. I have now waited for almost a month for my deposit back. When you call they simply don't have the time or want to listen and forward you to answer machines and never return your calls. This is an absolutely appalling service and anyone considering Evan Halshaw should avoid them like the plague. They are only interested in taking your money then ditching you. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Just some advice. I came in for some parts and was told by one of the three girls on service reception to press the buzzer on the end, which I did. Ten minutes later I pressed it again as nobody had appeared. I waited another ten minutes and pressed again, still nothing. All while the three girls just sat and chatted to each other. Finally, I think one of the drivers (possibly Andy) said he would go and find someone which he did, so a big thanks to him. Surely if there are three people sat there doing nothing and a customer needs help, regardless of which department, you should get up and help right?

Avoid this dealership, take your money elsewhere and save yourself the trouble. I've never seen such a level of unprofessional and shoddy service from a big name company before. Bought a second hand car from here, and the pre purchase inspections they did must have been extremely quick and i'd be surprised if they were done at all. Brakes were squeaky, exhaust rattled, car pulls to the right and the audio sub was completely broken. 3 Months down the line and my "quality assured" car is still broken. It has been back around 4 times now, and each time new issues are found and yet something is still broken. Staff don't communicate with one another and so they're left clueless as to why you're calling, and have a "not my problem" attitude. courtesy cars are delivered late/picked late, nobody calls you back and management are always busy or have "already gone home". I've missed work because their organisational skills are so poor, and have spent so long making phone calls and chasing an issue that should be chased for me. The customer care department have also had my complaint in the line for just over a month now and i've received no contact. The salesman talked the car up and sold me nothing but lies telling me it had all been checked and there was no issues, they would help if there was etc. Take your money somewhere else, they don't deserve it.

Do you like cars that have faults? Do you enjoy talking to sales persons who know nothing about the vehicles spec or service history or about why the previous vehicle owner rejected the vehicle after just 14 days of buying the car for 11 faults they found. When the faults are then not repaired they then sell the car on to the next person (Me) Who then finds the same issues and takes over 6 months to get it all repaired as the dealer complained that they did not want to repair the car. If like me you dont like bad customer service and unreliable cars and have to go through trading standards to get it all fixed then steer back out the forecourt as this is all you get when you shop at Evan's halshaw ravensbridge drive. P.s Cheers for the bodged exhaust that I've replaced with the cars third one as your first two attempts were complete garbage. Might want to lay off the exhaust putty a little and try a clamp or welding the down pipe to the silencer.

Car listed wrong on website. Called up to to check details, and was assured that ****** had physically been out to check that car specification was what we were looking for only to find that he hadn't been out at all and car was not the spec he said it was. Then we were lied to, when he said he did check. So it suddenly went from 6 speed to 5 speed did it?? Complete waste of time and 65 mile round trip. Buyer beware.

Not bad prices on cars, shame the customer service is terrible. Bought a car which they said had service history, when I collected car had none! A year later I had a signed for envelope with the service history and all original paperwork including past mot's & service receipts. Luckily the car was brilliant and a bargain!

NO stars from me! (only clicked one so I could leave this review) After several emails and text messages regarding a car for sale which I had found on the Evans Halshaw web site, I paid £200 reservation fee and arranged for the car to be moved to Evans Halshaw in Banbury as it's closer to me. All set to go over as soon as it was ready and buy the car outright, no finance. Well, obviously Evans Halshaw don't want cash buyers because they sold the car from under me and have the cheek to invite me to keep my appointment and come look at something else instead after claiming the car sold last Saturday but due to bank holiday the system wasn't updated!! Funny how they have plenty working over the bank holiday weekend to send emails and texts! I promptly told them where they can stick their appointments, I'll be spending my £15,000+ elsewhere! Plus to add insult to injury they tell me I have to wait up to 5 days to get my reservation fee refunded!! Very, very disappointed!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
