probably one of the worst experiences iv ever had here. I came in to use a voucher for £5 which worded that it can be used in store only to be told it can't and its a wording error. I would have fully accepted this if it had not been for the way the deputy manager Chad spoke to me like I had done something wrong by questioning why it states that it can be used in store. I was asked what would I do and say if I was in his shoes. Well if I got paid by halfords then I would happily tell him how to do his job. his apology was useless as his confrontational behaviour embarrassed the service that halfords supposedly prides themselves on. I was told its not his fault and I would have to just take it up with customer service. this guys is seriously leading your store? you can believe that I have taken this complaint to head office

Very disappointed! with Halfords weel braces shocket wrench. only used few time and it’s snap metal has cracked! I went for a replacement! they’ve refused to exchange this product! or refund. never buy any tools from Halfords life time guarantee. where does it ends. ☹️

What's the point of click and collect when you have to wait in a 35 minute queue. To add insult to injury there is no queue segregation for people who have come to browse or those who have already have a click and collect confirmation.

The first day I went there is very nice with no line I just walked in collected my bike and went, the man that gave me my bike said if the helmet does not fit I could bring it back all I needed to do was bring the receipt I wore the helmet and I did not fit. We came back with the helmet in the bag including the receipt. We came to see a very long line that was not moving the workers inside were just standing inside the shop when really all they had to do was give people the bikes they had bought and move to the next customer not stay there for almost 20 minutes and waist people's. I'm not be ungrateful or a kåren it's just that this is not fair. When I walked in the store I simply said I was here to return the helmet or swap it for another helmet that fits a walked to til and polite said that I wanted to return because It didn't fit then a lady called Lisa rudely interrupted me when I was speaking and said"you cant" until a very nice black man came to me and said he would deal with it he should be the manager the manger shouldn't he just stood there and did nothing.

One queue for managing click & collect, general 'walk ins' and services to for any car accessory fittings....poor form! Needs to be a better way of managing traffic. I would atleast expect a staff member to be visible outside the store to manage expectations and answer any initial queries customer may have. Google score says it all! Will not be returning.

I bought a bulb for my car online and paid £8 for it to be fitted. The gentleman who fitted it was very friendly and had it completed in 5 minutes when it would have taken me all day! Very well worth the money, thank you guys :). I will be back next time I need a car part!

I'll never go to the MILE END BRANCH again the customer service is very very Bad. I went in the store to order a dash cam for my car and pay at the store one of the member of staff said i cannot pay for the dash cam at the store i had to pay online. When i tryed to pay online they said i can pay at the store so i had the customer support guy on loud speaker after 2 hours i finally manged to pay in store. There are plenty of staff wandering around but shame they don't want to help customer. Manager should sit down and teach them customer service so the staff dont give misleading information. If there was option I'll put 0 stars I'm very angry ????.

Had multiple unpleasant experiences with the customer service at this store the latest being from Emma. Not only was she unhelpful but also very unhygienic (long dirty nails, and a foul odour). I came in looking for guidance on picking a child seat and gave Emma the necessary information such as their height, age and weight. She just pointed me to the direction of the seats and carried on munching away at her sweets like a child. I asked if she could offer assistance but she just pointed without another word. There was another polite worker on the till with her but as he was untrained on the subject, could not help me and was apologetic. I feel as though this was to do with my race as I later saw her happily assisting a Caucasian lady on picking a child seat right next to me. Emma refused when I asked for her advice after she had finished assisting the other lady, stating she needs to “go back to the till to serve customers”. Why and do I not count as a customer? There was no other customers waiting to pay and her colleague was at the desk so fail to understand her reasoning. I took this as my cue to leave as I’ve never been treated this way in any store. I’ve also had poor service from Stefan (on a separate occasion) who I believe is the store manager! Seemed alright at first but his attitude towards me completely changed when I refused a paid car check. He asked me three times if I was sure and at the checkout forcefully asked for my email for the receipt. I declined and asked for a paper copy to which I was told that my warranty wouldn’t be valid without my email address. I was only buying a £5 item for Pete’s sake, just give me a paper receipt! I decided to take my business elsewhere and will not be returning this store at all!

Very disappointed with the halford telephone customer service, I purchased cycling shoes over phone with Halford customers service and was told they'd be ready within the hour, agent advised shoes were there so told me I could set out. I set out to collect as nearest store for click and collect was 1 and a half hours away. On arrival the store manager advised the store was shut due to system problems. I rang customer service who provided no assistance what so ever, neither to me or the poor store manager who was having to deal with a constant flow of customers who had also been misadvised or not been told the store was closed. After over an hour on the call the customer services manager refused to speak to me and just got an agent to give the store manager the email address of an Abbie Price head of South African call centres. Expected better from Halfords.

Absolute disgrace. Rude people on the phone (if at all pick ot up), they talk with you like they can't care less, or they don't respect you. Also, I booked an appointment for a repair (they gave me an appointent 1 month in advance!!!) and turned out they simply didn't book it in their system so I waited for a month for nothing. These people are making this whole shop And Halfords a big no go. If you want to save stress, money and time for yourself, go to another shop, there are meny out there which are faaar better than this one.

Issue isn’t worth the product (it’s Halford’s: you get what you pay for - ok bikes at an affordable price point). But the staff are so slow! It takes at least 2 or 3 people to address any issue, find product from their stock, or fix a bike. Gave up queuing and went for a walk to an independent bike shop to buy inner tubes because I didn’t move for 10mins!

Manager Chad was so rude I do not know how he got to be manager pi went in for a bike checked on line then when I got their was told they had them in stock then Chad served me I was told no the bike is not in stock and they only had one on show asked if I could purchase this one and was told company policy does not allow this then when I asked Chad if I could see the bike for my disabled grandson he then tried to look for it and could not find it then went out the back to see if he find it waited 10 mins for this then walked straight past me and said we haven't got any that was it I would have thought as a manager he should have tried a bit harder with the customer service but no I thought as a company like halfords he as a manager does not hold up the value halfords have I feel very let down and have been a customer for many years but don't worry argos was so helpful and I got his bike their instead and told them what happened at halfords and was even given a £30 discount well done argos and so let down as a loyal customer to halfords

I found they were not very helpful, especially Abu! when I first had taken my sons bike to have it repaired Antonio quoted £29 for the repair, reason being was because the bike didn’t need everything fixing as I only bought the bike for £50. Abu the little unhelpful assistant was just rude and arrogant, he quoted me a price of over £129 just for service and repair, which you can see the price difference, also they always seem to promote other bike repairers, just seems to me that they just want to be paid the hourly rate for as little work as possible. I would avoid them in the future even though I bought two bikes from them.

Is this store real or a parody? This is the worst experience I had in 20 years of visiting bikes store. The staff absolutely don't care about you, they look elsewhere, totally ignoring your questions. I am not even sure they know anything about bikes. Seriously, I can understand that COVID19 situation is difficult but there is a very high unemployment rate and I'm sure Halfords can find young people who really want to do that job. Why keeping those clowns who manage this store?!

I have got a bike from online halford but did not know that I should have done with adjusment of everything , it has been about 2 months and I have been feeling something wrong on it. Therefore, I decided to go to one of halfords shop. Firstly , I went to stoke newington shop and it was closed so I was so dissapointed as it shows open on the internet. After that I decided to try Mile End Halford (Now unterstood it was the best choice) as I came Mile End lately around 7 pm and shop close time is normally 8 pm.Therefore, I was thinking that they would take the bike and say come after for collection as we need time to adjust etc. but the lovely gentelman Chad has said that he could adjust as soon as he could as bike is not good to ride with this situation and safety.So I would like to hugee thanks to Chad who made me believe again good people are still there!

Do not bother I have a flat tire so I wanted to get an inner tube changed. I called in to check whether I need to book an appointment and was told that if I wanted to avoid the queue then yes. I had to make 3 calls to book the appointment because the first book made a booking in the past for me, the 2nd call I was put to transfer straight away and then on hold for 20 min until the wait music died off and nothing happened. I called in a 3rd time to get the correct time. The next day I arrived at my appointment slot, only to be told to join a queue, the same queue everyone was in. 45 minutes I was finally served, and another 20 minutes later the staff found that they don't carry the type of tube. (1) he literally said my bike doesn't have the normal tube whereas my bike has the standard presto tube; there are ever only two types of tubes and a store as large as halfords doesn't carry one of them?!. (2) he didn't even check before unpacking a tube to work on my bike (3) I did the same repair back in December and they had the tube then. Anyways after over an hour in the store I got nothing done, and was late for work because I planned my day according to the appointment time. I understand sometimes appointment time can be unpredictable but the delay was beyond my expectations. Every step of this process just went so wrong that j seriously will not go back to halfords again. Better off with a local independant store.

Absolutely awful service. The staff in this store couldn't be more disinterested or less helpful if they tried. Having been unimpressed on each visit previously, but needing the items the same day, I ordered via click and collect and received and email to say that all but one item were in stock. I drove to the store and was told that in fact only one of the items was in stock, and when I looked at it, that item wasn't the one from the picture (Sram brake pads, the picture showed it had the spacing tool that I also needed but this the pack didn't). They made no effort to find an alternate to another one of the items that was out of stock (brake cleaner) despite there being a number of alternate products around the same price. I asked them to cancel the order and refund the purchase which they said they would... This was the 21 January and I still haven't received the refund (it's now 24 Feb). Honestly, I would normally try and support local stores as opposed to shopping on Amazon but when the staff are this poor there really is no other option. Judging by my experiences and looking at the other reviews there are clearly some issues at this store!

I was in need of a specific repair however was unable to book a time without having a free bike health check. It won't come as a surprise that this is simply an opportunity for the 'specialists' to over quote and suggest multiple issues. This comes from experience from myself and another who were quoted massive sums by the same 'specialist' for surplus work even though one bike was only a couple of months old. Once you proceed with what you actually went there for, don't be in a rush and don't expect to be contacted, even if you have been told you will be. Three months was the turnaround for a repair with no updates having been provided through the process. Initially stores were taking calls directly and ignoring the phones. I tested this by trying to call through while in the store seeing two employees standing around in the cycle section. Fortunately they seem to have outsourced that to South Africa and this is an improvement. Eventually I stumbled across a competent person in the store who actually did the work, provided some communication and acknowledged the issues to date.

Terrible! My wife ordered an electric bike from them. We were told to be there at 12.30 today. We travelled 40 mins to get there to find the bike they had prepared was not as ordered. They found the correct version and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. We waited 50 mins and no bike. My wife went back into the store to find a part was damaged and they could not supply! Now waiting to hear when a replacement bike will be available and whether Halfords will do the decent thing and deliver it to our home.....

Poor experience. Store Manager Stephan is incredibly rude which explains why the floor staff, like Emma get away with it too. There's definitely a culture of being dismissive and rude towards their customers in this store and it's sad that such young people are so jaded. They let the brand down.

This store is usless why do they even have workers if they ain't going to do thier job? It's reducilous. Instead of asking everyone to get in touch to you duane for thier complains why don't you do a better job by litsening to all customers complaints and take it seriously enough to results these issues. Starting with your work mates if they dont want the job maybe you could find others who wants to acually work. It's crazy that you still reciving bad reviews but dont see any changes. Fix the issues start with your staff members and your customer service.

Booked a child carseat fitting at the Mile End store for today. Absolute waste of time! Not only did Halfords confirm my booking twice, they then waited until I arrived at the store to inform me that 'they were not doing car fittings' at present! So I paid for the car seat and booked the fitting online in good faith. Only to waste my time turning up at the store for absolutely nothing. Staff member was pretty rude about it all, as well to be fair. No wonder the Mile End branch has such a low customer satisfaction rating The only reason I purchased from Halfords in the first place, was to have the seat installed professionally. It certainly wasn't for their prices, which incidentally are not even that competitive. I will use Halfords very sparingly in the future, if ever again at all. Silver lining is getting a refund and then finding a car seat £20 cheaper!

Arrived at my appointed time, store was 20mins late opening, after waiting for my turn, 40mins later I was informed my bike hadn't been built yet. I have been to the store three times over the last two days to pick up a front wheel for my bike that I ordered and paid for online. The store was closed each time due to unspecified 'electrical difficulties' according to a hand-written sign on the door. I was told this was a problem with their electrics, so computers were down. If they had indicated on their website that the store was closed two of my trips back could have been avoided. One hapless staff member apologised for the situation and although I asked if it would be possible to take my wheel away as it was paid for already, he never returned to let me know. I have always avoided Halfords as their customer service is so appalling. I won't be going back again. No stars. In order to leave a review I have to press at least one star. They don't even deserve that and judging by other reviews on here Halfords Mile End really need to get their act together and take their customers complaints seriously.

They give you appointment then they let you wait outside in the -1°C for over 30 minutes. There was only 3 people in shop so I can't see any reason why can't you have more in when the store is at least 500m2. This is a disgrace. The man at the door not able to answer simple questions.
