Went to pick up a bike which I ordered 2 weeks ago, upon arrival, oh and after waiting outside in the Sun for 45 I was told to collect in a weeks time. The date on their system is different to the date on their order confirmation email. The guy behind the counter wanted to fob me off. I have no option but to pick up at a later date. Very disappointed. I have to spend money and hire a bike in the meantime.

Such an annoying shop . They don’t have any professionalism or whatever . Halfords is a joke in itself . Ordered a bike and got refunded without even getting informed. I called this store for like a thousand times but no one picks up . Any bike I choose is out of stock or not available in my area. Wasted 3 valuable weeks of my summer in this stupid company. Better buy a bike from ebay. I don’t recommend at all.

Asked online about e scooter repairs online it said halfords repair scooters bought from them or else where..perfect I thought tried calling store but said staff busy ..went to mile end halfords stood in the queue for an hour in the sun got to the counter waited another 20mins just to be told our engineers only fix scooters bought from halfords sorry. I was like the info online is wrong can you please stop advertising that you fix any scooter then .employee said sorry that's head office using marketing tactics. Omg! Really wasted my time wrong info online..bad service halfords.

Pls dont waste time buying from this company....they have a poor choice of freight company named DX Freight who loses your consignment and Halfords management refuses to resolve the missing delivery problem by wasting customers time and money by saying the freight company is still investigating the matter inspite of 15 days post the incident. They don't have any customer service they will take full payment and not deliver the product so please don't buy from them.

Went in with a broken stabiliser on a kids bike. Said if he couldn't fix it, a new one would cost £17 (I was ready to give up on the stabilisers) 10 minutes later, working bike returned to a very happy girl! Longest part was the 20 minute wait at the queue but during social distancing understandable. Rode bike home, sufficed to say efficient once you get to the centre. Note: called on the phone, to no avail! No one picked up, better to just go in!

Staff members will try and hide if they see a customer at all cost. When serving customers they like to chat to each other completely ignoring the customer apart from taking money. Managers please be aware of this, not good for Hlafords bussiness. No Job is safe!

Ordered a bike lock online and recieved a email saying the expected collection date is the following day and i should wait for text confirming thats it's ready to collect. I waited the whole day and I didn't recieve a text to collect. Today i wake up an email saying they've refunded my money but fail to give any reason why they've done that which i find ridiculous.

Do not get your bike fixed here! They did the checkup and then didn't do any of the work they'd said they would! Charged me 35 quid and my pedal fell off on the way home Have had to take my bike somewhere else which i should have done originally. Horrendously understaffed so queued for hours and then didn't get what I expected. 0/10

Worst customer service. Waited ages, not approached, then when I was I was told to wait at another desk. Staff happily chatting away to each other and not helping. I was there with the full intention of buying a bike, and had made the trip especially, and ended up just walking out because I could not take the lack of care.

The staff in this store are not helpful and not friendly. You can see them chatting with each other and pretending to be busy! last time I bought a bike from this store i received a terrible service and wished I would never have gone there. The bike wasn't ready and I had to wait for long. When they brought it the breaks were not fitted properly and I asked the member of staff to check them. He started serving other customers and kept me waiting for ages. When he finally checked the breaks it didn't make any difference and I had to go as I couldn'twait any more. I was very disappointed and angry. I recently visited this store wanting to buy a bike lock. As we were unable to enter the store due to covid 19 one of the guys at the entrance asked me to check the products online and when I showed him the lock I selected he simply said we do not have this item in stock. I looked at some lockers on display by chance and i saw the locker i wanted in display by the window and showed it him. It seemed he didn't care. I had my bike with me and happened to be in the area without a lock otherwise I would have gone somewhere else. Please avoid this store!

All customer be WARNED. You will not be served here or have to wait ages. Staff will chat to each other and ignore you or run away and hide in the back stock room. They will pretend somwting is not in stock so they dont have to get ir or visa versa hide in the stock room for ten minutes and then come back with nothing (out of Stock).

Apart from the poor service, communication skills are so poor too, I realised that when I spoke to Emma to get some details about the ongoing repair on my bike, and I made a complaint about how slow and not up to the standard the service was, Emma's reply was so unprofessional , She raised her voice , I was not convinced with the angry answers . and I don't recommend to use this branch specifically. and maybe Halfords generally.

Bike department does not answer their phone. I have called 30 times over the past week and I can't get through to anyone. I have contact the Customer Service at Halfords and they are unable to get an update on my purchase and suggested I call the SHOP. Completely unexceptable.

Absolutely horrible service and the staff are the rudest bunch I've ever come across. You can buy a bike from plenty of places. Please don't use this one. They lied about my order 4 times and told me to collect it in store when they haven't even ordered it yet. They never apologised for the mistake and were very rude to me when I turned up to the shop. I can't even get through to them on the phone because they never pick up, so I can't cancel my order. Please don't use this service. They are by far the worst.

My 8 year old daughter and waited for the better part of twenty minutes in line to be told that the bike she had her heart set on was out of stock. We could have been saved the time and disappointment if the staff had the foresight to simply put an out of stock sticker on the display model

AVOID THIS STORE - Utter negligence causing serious bodily damage.. On my initial visit I was faced with quite possibly the worst customer service ever. No-one wanted to help, no-one knew anything about the bikes. If I hadn't came in to buy 1 specific bike I would have left. But this was the nearest store to me selling so unfortunately I had to stay. I purchased alongside the bike a basket to be installed. I collected my bike a few days later and was reassured everything was completed as should be. 3 weeks in to using my bike the basket came off. Meaning the bracket it was attached to capped my front wheel sending me flying right over the handle bars. Thankfully I was on a quiet slip road so there was no traffic or cars to cause any further injury as I wouldn't want to think of what would have happened if there were. I was left with quite significant bruising on my legs, chest and arms alongside cuts. The main cut being to my leg which has now created a nasty scar. I returned the bike, obviously upset at the negligence their team had caused by not safely installing the basket. When I arrived the store manager tried to accuse me of overloading the basket. When he saw the size of my tiny handbag stowed in it he confirmed that "yes, we may not have attached it securely enough". As only 1 screw had survived the fall and it didn't have any fastenings to it. He advised to come back in 2 hours for them to fix in. When I returned 2 hours later after waiting around I was told they were unable to repair the bike at all due to the damage caused and a new one would have to be ordered. Meaning I was out of a bike for a week in total. He tried to claim this was a "gesture of goodwill". I advised I work in retail and it is not a gesture of goodwill if you cannot repair the product due to it being so damaged. That is you simply repairing your own fault He would not advise how he would rectify it and fobbed me off to the claims department again. Who are equally as terrible at getting this resolved. When coming back to collect the new bike I was promised it would be ready by 1pm and he would add additional straps to the basket to ensure it would not fall off again. When I arrived at 6pm the bike was not ready and the basket had not even been attached! I was told to wait 5mins meaning no proper Quality Control check could be carried out! Again absolutely no care to the situation. The bike came out with no additional straps as promised and the service received again in store was completely shocking. The highlight being 2 of their staff surrounding me and stating that "the person now putting my bike together was off when my old one was being put together but he was the best so I shouldn't have this problem again." Then why employ people not trained to put bikes together in the first place for my initial bike? I had another member of staff who tried to claim they were using new screws on it to ensure it didn't come apart this time. Then why use different ones last time that would? Just completely terrible service and after-care from a team that clearly do not care and have already caused significant bodily damage due to their previous negligence. I have waited a few weeks before going social on this as I wanted to see how they would resolve this and give them the opportunity to do so privately. And it only got worse. No resolve, no apologies, promises of Area Managers calling me to resolve which has never happened. Please never shop at Halfords for your bike if you value your health and safety. Due to their negligence I am left with scarring, bruises and that underlying anxiety when I cycle that this could happen again meaning a less enjoyable ride. And not once have they looked to rectify or resolve this. Appalling customer service for a despicable store. Due to the negligence I have been advised to seek legal advice and due to their terrible customer service - that is what I will do.

Bought two Thule bike racks and had them fitted here. Was really impressed with the staff, from the friendly chap who took my order and booked in my fitting through to getting them fitted the following day. Nicky fitted the racks, he was super professional and provided a bunch of useful advice to get the most out of the bike racks - he also fitted them super quickly. All in all, great service!

These Guys Are Not Techs. Neither Their Advise. Sent my nephew in to buy speakers for his car. I recommended him to get Pioneers gave him a product number they didn’t have in stock. And in desperate situation for a sale sold him other brand which was not satisfactory. Their expert advice was wrong. Guys need to up your game. I have worked in the aftermarket industry for motor vehicle and every department has a carefully picked product managers. Guys rather go Euro Car Parts! Where team know how to classify products if they are Budget Range or Premium. Please don’t say it’s premium to get a sale. Premium means quality. Please be careful how you showcase a product.
