Simply fantastic customer service. I accidentally damaged the treasured binoculars bought two years ago from LCEx. They organised their return to the manufacturers in mainland Europe and sorted the repair and their return with no charge to me. I love this store (LCE, Strand), my favorite shop. The staff are highly knowledgeable and test the products themselves. They sell equipment to suit our experience. I've been going there for 10 years now. They get great second hand equipment too. Some of which are only a few weeks old!

Been here a few times. Most significantly when I’d recently taken the plunge and had moved up from a cropped sensor to full frame SLR. Had lenses to sell and needed good advice about multiple flash equipment. All staff are excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Received decent prices for my used equipment and very happy with my purchases / part-exchanges.
Service like this isn’t available on the internet. Worth paying that little more for tailored advice!

Mark provided some really helpful advice in choosing which camera and lens to buy, and additionally was great in helping me pick up a bag, filter and extra battery. Price was within £1 of amazon for the camera and the lens and the rest were cheaper - thanks so much for all the help!

Staff are always kind and take the time to answer even the trivial of questions you may have. I purchased many cameras from them and also trade in for the best price you can get for your used equipment in London. If you're in for used equipment, you can always find gems at reasonable prices, most of these items don't even have the time to make it on their website, so be sure to pop in.

Very poor show. Competitors valued a lens 70% more than they valued in store. The staff who values the lens didn't even touch the lens to know the condition but straightaway said this is what we can pay and it will be trade-in only deal.

I have inherited a DSLR with a nasty dirty sensor due to improper cleaning. The staff was really friendly and the service was top notch, they basically saved my camera for the regular sensor cleaning fee. I will certainly be coming back and also recommending them!

Have bought from many other LCE shops before but not the Strand.
The staff are extremely knowledgable. They know cameras and they won't sell you something you really wont need. It pays to go into a store and talk to experts, not only do they talk sense you actually get to try the kit out before purchase - When have Mail Order Conglomerates ever been able to do that?
There aren't many decent camera shops left but, thankfully, LCE seem to be flourishing and long may that continue.

Basically this is the best place to go for used camera equipment in London. They also sell new equipment too. The staff are very knowledgeable and are happy to take their time listening to what you want and showing you all the options available. It's a fairly small shop in terms of space but they pack in alot of stock.

Amazing shop! Visiting from the states and purchased camera and few lenses while here. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Had to do a return on some due to travel constraints (didn't have the extra room for some of the gear). They were totally accommodating with the return, it was a quick, easy and friendly process. Top notch shop. Highly recommend!! A+ on sales and A+ on return policy.
