One of my favourite places in brighton. Great selection of bottled beers (especially belgian ones). Very cosy and unique interior with great atmosphere. Cinema room downstairs that you can sometimes just drink in is a nice touch.

Quirky joint. Small and cosy. Friendly staff. Lots of different rooms/areas. Can bring in outside food to have with your drink. The deal is that you clean up after yourself. A total no brainer with Bad Boys Burgers nextdoor

ideal for a secret date or an open mic night. Done both here and it has always had that feel for me. Music and romance!

Velvet-lit, seductive coven, nice place to get slowly poisoned and set the fairy lights, mannequins and grotesque babies afloat. The basement cavern hosts live eccentrics and experimenters. Water in the desert. But don’t go there - it’s mine now.

When I went there was a free cinema running downstairs, a band in the front and the back room full of people chatting. Loads going on for what is quite a small place. Some interesting design going on with odd bits and bobs going on making it more interesting. I'm not sure I like the saloon door entrance to the urinals just because you can get hit with them while taking a wee if someone doesn't notice you're in there.

Offbeat and unique addition to the Brighton bar scene. Somewhat cavernous interior with eccentric furnishings and a bar that sells a good variety of drinks. Famous for its toilet with which houses some sort of shrine to Steve Buscemi - go figure.

Really lovely place, it has amazing beer choices and lots of little nooks to sit in. It has lots of charm and a quirky atmosphere, and really nice staff. Highly recommend for a bit of Brighton character ❤️

Staff seem largely disinterested, had one female take over 5 orders from our table and never spoke to us once after we placed said order, simply turned, got our drinks and stood there waiting for the money with the bank machine, not thanks, nothing. The staff seem more interested in standing around looking cool than anything else, what however prompted this review was their refusal to serve a table next to us on Friday night for "being too loud" apparently! Imagine that, chucked out of a bar for having a laugh. Would certainly not go back, and would not recommend this place unless your confident you are cool enough to fit the bar staffs criteria...

One of the most underrated bars in Brighton. They have a toilet/shrine dedicated to Steve Buscemi. Need I say more.

Funny place full of interesting arty people with loads of curiosities to admire on the walls including some art exhibited on the walls. Great open mic nights and life drawing in the basement too. No phone signal when you are downstairs though.

I think this would fall into the category of "acquired taste". Down market, but interesting interior, with a pretty good selection of beers. I think if you're looking for somewhere comfortable, avoid. If you're looking for somewhere casual, probably a good choice. Prices for drinks seemed steep, but I don't really have a feel for how much drinks cost in Brighton.

Always a great place for a drinky poo! Worth going for the pure randomness of the decor ????

A great place to visit, not formal at all but if people mostly go there with those intensions. They have a decent selection of quite average beers and good ciders. The music was very interesting but fun. If only the ventilation was slightly better in the lowest floor as it got really hot in there by the end of the gig.

Great pub with bags of atmosphere any time of the day or night. Open late, good as somewhere to go after somewhere else. Great selection of drinks, friendly staff. Quirky decor. Lots of nooks to discover and chill in. Just when you think you've seen them all you find another one...

I very much enjoyed my time here. I had a strawberry and a passion fruit daqueri cause I was feeling well fancy. They were £6 and bloody tasty. Surprisingly, the strawberry one was my favourite even though strawberries are all kinds of weird. The staff are nice and the venue is pretty groovy. I was downstairs listening to my friends band and they were good singers. Amy out.

Cool, quirky place with lots of small hideaway spots for intimate dates. Events in the basement and friendly staff serving drinks you'd not find in a regular pub.

You don't literally go into the mouth of a bee. That would be ridiculous. What next? The wasps BUM? The earwigs ARMPIT? Don't be so ridiculous!!!! I love you now and forever xxx

Celebrated 2017-2018 new years eve here. It was brilliant really relaxed and friendly place. Good selection of drinks some of which are poured out of old brass instruments. They also have a cinema room which can be hired for private showings. All round great place. Especially the toilet!

So much character in this bar. Great beers and ciders - craft ones too. it's fairly small so sometimes a struggle for a seat. There's a bookable room downstairs too which is really a great price. I always have a good night here and there's a great and varied crowd who get in here.

My favourite for many years. Random quirky stuff all over, very cosy, nice snug to sit in downstairs at the back if you want to get really relaxed. Staff here are awesome, always hilarious chat.

I was only in Brighton for three nights and came to this place twice. Such a great atmosphere! Loved the vibe this place had. It might look small from the outside but there's loads of space at the back and it continues down into a basement. Local beers on tap too, a great place for a drink.

Nice quirky pub,but very tight space and very hot as a result. I do not recommend having a party here it was too hot to even dance! Reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

The decoration in this place is really cool and the various rooms and live music were great. There are also lots of nooks and cubby holes that make interesting seats. The drinks are pricey (to be expected in Hove) and there's a strong smell of insence and damp (again... Hove) that didn't agree with my lungs all that well.

The decor of this place is absolutely bonkers and I love it! The Steve Buscemi toilet was a particular highlight! Good beer selection too :)

Bigger than it looks from the outside, very quirky. It's on different levels and there are a couple of very snug corners.

Stopped off here for a quick late night drink before getting the bus home. I really liked the venue, decor and the cocktails were good. It really is my kind of place with dark lighting and drapes etc. The only downside to this place is the overwhelming smell of damp which is such a shame because of how cool this place is.

Quirky bohemian bar. Nice atmosphere and live jazz each week if you're in to that sort of stuff. When they opened one day I saw them pulling through about an egg cup of beer through the pumps. You are supposed to pull through a pint or so to get rid of the beer that has gone off in the room temperature pipes overnight. That may be why the Guinness always tastes a bit vinegary. Such a shame as its a nice bar.

Very bohemian. Went there for a gig. It looked like a dungeon in the basement. Apparently it's a cinema. Not very big and on multiple floors. Very dark inside. The beer was good though.
