Very racist staff, I was appalled by the treatment. Bartender was extremely rude just because of my nationality/race. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

No doubt that Molly Malones is a pretty decent bar. Some impressive live music on occasion which attracts a good range of custom. One of the few Brighton bars with late open hours virtually every day, which is handy! Unfortunately charging £5.30 for a Carling (the cheapest Beer on tap) is quite a negative for me, so not price friendly. Save for a good night and I'm sure this place will be rewarding enough.

Too expensive on drinks, single mixer and drink £5.50, cheapest pint £5.70. if you walk just down the road you'll save a fortune.
The live music is good and it is a good spot to get trashed.

Yep.
Security removed me from the building as someone complained to them with a completely false allegation. Had no opportunities to ask any questions or explain what happened.
Other than the security, the staff are lovely.

We stood waiting to get in. The bouncers went through every compartment of my wallet, phone case, emitted my pockets and patted me down like a criminal before entering. Once inside there was no live music, which we understood as restrictions had only just be easied but there was no Irish music playing at a really low level. I asked the guy if they could at least put some Irish music on given there was no live music that evening, he said "I'll ask" to which nothing was actioned. What a shame as we were all looking forward to an evening out there.

Proud Deplorable
Been here twice now since staying in Brighton and it's by far been our favourite place to spend an evening. They have live music every night until 4am and the bands are high quality! The drinks are a little pricey but they have plenty on offer. Gets busy much later on in the evening but the range in ages/groups of people contributes to a nice atmosphere

Came here late Saturday night. The place was still buzzing at 3am!! We are staying near in a hen house so ended up here till kicking out. Such a good atmosphere, welcoming and they even had live music.

Well for an Irish bar, there was no Irish music playing in the background, this would certainly pull people in, the one bar staff member was not at all welcoming, and not even Irish.
I won't be back until it changes, to the Irish bar its ment to be.

It's open late and there's live music. It's easy too cheesy for me but I reckon most people like it.
£5.50 for a single spirit mixer is a bit unnecessary.
I'd sooner go to Tempest Inn or a bunch of other places personally

Good live music and a nice atmosphere. Would be a reat place to go as a student if it weren't for the very pricey drink. We ended up paying just over 11£ for a single vodka orange and a pint of Grulsh. Apart from the prices, it's a lovely place!

I couldn’t give 0 so 1 star it is. My boyfriend and I (we’re both 26) were turned away at the pub because the bar staff did not “recognise” a UK driving licence from Northern Ireland. Never before have I had this before as it clearly states “UK” and we’re both clearly over 18. It didn’t help that the woman behind the bar was incredibly snooty and rude. Never had service like it so went round the corner to a different pub to which there are no shortages in the area.

Rated it a 4 as it a real good fun filled pub with bang on music and coming from Manchester I certainly love music .. One thing I so disliked was the attitude of a tattotted bar staff member who was so abrupt and rude to this lady being served... We were there for a congress and night was great baring that... Shambolic attitude but guess she like that regular ....
