This is one of many pubs in a chain. It seems to popular with a younger crowd. There is a band playing loud music and they were very good. Unfortunately I'm at the age where my friends and I would rather sit and talk so I'm not complaining about the band it was our choice to go into this pub. However the place does need some major improvements. We sat at a table behind the bar area. To say our seats stuck to the carpet/rug would be an understatement. Every time you go to stand up you have to peal the seat from the rug. It was disgusting which is how I would describe the gents toilet. For someone who owns so many pubs he could at least upgrade the toilets and replace a rug which should fail even the poorest of hygiene standards. Especially as the drinks prices are set at a 5 star hotel price.

Lovely bar, good selection of beers/ciders on tap. Had a lovely time in the bar too, great staff and interesting memorabilia at the back of the bar.

Didn't seem to be any meaningful appreciation of the importance of the All-Ireland Final, with some lowe league soccer that no one was interested in prioritised on the best screens, and the sound only turned on at 15.29, one minute before throw in and five minutes after the National Anthem. Definitely drove out a few customers.

Quiet when we visited. Friendly barman. Imagine it could be better at music time. Football match volume was a little too loud for me, but others were watching it. Would happily revisit.

Worst pub I went in in Brighton, live music was average and far too loud, the staff were blunt and not particularly helpful, the atmosphere was dead and a strange mix of people. On top of that £7 for a rum and coke in a plastic cup was far too expensive! 0/10 I would recommend people go anywhere else.

Good music, good bar staff, but the bouncers think they own the place as usual, ruins the experience

Dead quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. Just me and one member of staff who was very nice. Seems pretty quaint but its late opening hours and the street it's on lead me to believe this will be a raucous place on a weekend evening! Disabled access to entrance. Free WiFi. Plug sockets for charging mobiles. Live music until 4am every night! Happy hours 5-8pm Mon - Fri (Doesn't seem to be drawing the crowds while I'm here though!) Discount drinks for students on a Tuesday.

Was cash only on a Saturday night with no recommendation for a cash point, which made it a bit awkward...

Love this place, it's like a little slice of home away from home. Bar staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is always good. The live music all week definitely makes this place stand out for me.

Literally only had one drink here on a late Tuesday night. It was the only place open. Everything seemed fine though and I imagine it's lively at the weekend.

Drinks are expensive with the cheapest pint being £4.90 for a Pravha or Blue Moon. Place gets packed on nights with footy and you get rowdy bunches as well. ID on door and one in and one out policy when busy, which can mean some of your friends will get in and you might be left behind. Bouncers openly took bribes for entry to get in during the champions league final. Very limited seating as well.

Amazing atmosphere, great live music, and that perfect vibe somewhere between traditional pub and a place to boogie!

I'm well past a trip to West Street and this is as close as I dare go. it's bound to get you dancing, only shame of the place is the Bouncers carry a huge attitude and at some point you or one of your friends will be asked to leave for some random reason. I saw it happen throughout the evening to numerous people

Good little pub. Bar staff took ages to serve people and seemed pretty disinterested in the customers.

Before the live band, it is quiet with a few locals in, but once the live band starts the place starts to become a lot busier. The staff are lovely and there are a wide variety of drinks avaliable. The prices are reasonable for Brighton, and there is plenty of seating. There is good acoustics for the live band, it is not too loud, and it is a great overall experience. I would highly recommend.

They had the rugby on which was a plus, but the staff were super unfriendly and grunted at me. Beer was fairly expensive (London prices), pint of doombar wasn't great but the Guinness was good.

Did like this pub. Tried to go in after a gig at the Brighton centre late on. Got asked for ID by a rude doorman. Myself and my partner are in 40s and 50s. This has put me right off, wont go back
