I have been impressed every time I have had an interaction with this practice. I am so pleased I joined their patient list. They keep excellent time. There has never been any delay (in fact I've never spent more than about a minute sitting down in the waiting room which is a wholly diffenrt experience to my last practice which alway ran late. I find the staff very helpful and seem not to rush you in any appointment. I'm very pleased.

The doctors have been brilliant, but the nurse and receptionist need to improve their attitudes. The way they talk to you is hostile, very unhelpful.

Probably the best GP I've been to. I can always book an appointment for a time that suits me and when I'm there I'm seen on time. Staff are helpful and friendly and most importantly Dr. Patel is incredibly understanding and helpful. 10/10. Thank you NHS!

this place is a joke, been told the doctor will call me for my appointment and they never do. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. They don't even give you a time for when they will call they just say "sometime in the afternoon"

Generally excellent service. I always feel listened to and find Dr Patel extremely helpful. I only knocked off a star as recently it seems incredibly difficult to get an appointment, which has never been a problem in previous years.

What a great place. Friendly doctors and reception staff in a bright and airy building. Wish I could move to this doctors permanently but I don't live close enough otherwise would immediately leave the awful Corner Surgery.

Most of, if not all my experiences with Dr Patel, he always seems as if I am waisting his time or as if he doesn't care. He is very sarcastic and can be quite rude at times making you feel very small. He expects you to know everything, so you feel pressured to say the right thing instead of just saying how you feel. If you can avoid seeing him, do!

I have dermatological conditions and my experiences in seeing GPs in the past has not been positive. Usually I’ve had everything diagnosed as “just excema” and been given hydrocortisone and told to use it wrongly. Dr Patel was the opposite. He actually examined my issue and gave me the right treatment. He also understood that although as far as medical conditions go, skin rashes aren’t that bad, but having a bright red rash over half of my face was extremely distressing to me. His advice was practical- although the guidelines say don’t wear makeup he knew I would want to cover it so we discussed how to do that as well as possible. I had a really positive experience here.

The last time I called I tried to book an appointment but instead the receptionist asked for my symptoms, which was fine but she said that she would tell the doctor and he would call me back and told me to keep my phone with me because he will call within 30 min. I had my phone with me over 2 hours, until this day nobody have called back. Also one of the receptionist have had acted rude in the past at the Gp and over the phone. Very disappointed.

Absolutely horrendous practice. Receptionists are rude and doctors investigation method is phone call if you are lucky. I have been coughing and not sleeping for 2 weeks I asked for an appointment and got only telephone call suggesting to have stronger cough sirup. Week later I was calling that I have got a chest pain got appointment and doctor gave me antibiotics and send to x ray with 2 weeks span. 2 days after I had to go to A&E as doctor refused to book an appointment in emergency hours and I have been diagnosed with strong pneumonia and prescribed stronger antibiotics and got letter for my GP to handle that in 3 days later. After 3 days my initial attempt to book an appointment and handle the letter to GP and regular check if antibiotics are treating the pneumonia I have to deal with rude receptionist and angry doctor Berks over the phone telling me that he does not want to see me sooner than in 4 weeks even though I have stated that my chest pain increased. I have attempted visit to A&E to get another set of antibiotics. I have sent official complaint and waiting for resolution. i feel if I have got an appointment on the first occasion I could avoid the more serious illness. Please avoid this GP for all costs!

Albeit around 2 1/2 years ago since I changed surgery, the Vassall Rd Medical Centre still stands out as having been not only the best GP surgery i was fortunate enough to register with in the 3-4years I was living in the city, but in fact, a memorable and easily held 'BEST EVER' GP surgery I have ever been fortunate enough to register with. Not only was Dr Patel genuinely listening, respectful and knowledgeable; whenever my partner needed/asked me to attend an appointment with or to assist them, he demonstrated patience, engagement and real interest in understanding not only what I had communicated, but that my partner was listed to, agreed with everything I'd said, but also the time to add or change/correct anything I'd relayed. The surgery then continued to be a lifeline, some month's later-assisting in everything from identifying/suggesting a new antihistamine for my increasingly severe hayfever that worked & had no side effects, to produce a few letters to support and assist me with making an ESA claim, and as evidence for Lambeth Council after a decision I wasn't homeless enough - even continued to communicate/cooperate alongside THT, having found myself addressing their services and technically not living within the catchment of the surgery... I have had more than one GP surgery immediately terminate any care and the phone call the second I mentioned I needed to change an appointment as I'd be moving on the day previously booked so we extremely grateful for their assistance during a very difficult period for me. On one occasion, even facilitated issuing a prescription for me to collect within just as couple of hours of having called them and explained the urgency and the need for more than a month's worth... Compared to the surgery I registered with once I'd sorted a place to move into, taking a full week from first calling, including various called, waiting 10+minutes for anyone to answer the phone, to only play completely dumb, knowing nothing about the repeat if ordered days before and had the local pharmacy call on my behalf the day before as well... :-/

Vassall Road Medical Centre is honestly the worse GP there is, we called this morning to book an appointment as my mother was feeling unwell due to her having diabetes the receptionist first asked what do we mean that her diabetes are low.... seriously?? Your meant to be working at a surgery and are you telling me you don't know what it means? First of all they need to get staff that understand what they are working around, secondly if someone is feeling unwell how long are we meant to wait before we are able to get an appointment with your GP the only thing they tell you is go to the Pharmacy... what is the point is registering at a GP in the first place then, they can't even help you when it's most needed. If someone suffers from something like Diabetes they should know the danger of it because anything can happen at any minute...... Patients should have a bit more priority in seeing a doctor a lot of people go there just to waste the doctor's time but people who need to be seen are told no appointments are available. If I had a choice I honestly wouldn't give them a star for this review as they are not worth it!! WORSE SURGERY EVER!!!
