Fabulous attention from both Bronte; initial set up and loads of advice re buses location etc etc and Hannah on the show round of multiple properties. Only reason we did not actually rent through them was that we found another property in the perfect location distancewise from all 3 of the TBA campus that were to be used so went with that instead. Would definitely recommend though.

I helped my friend move into a house that Co-Apt offered. From previous experience with the last house, and the seemingly need to rebrand, we anticipated a positive move-in experience with the letting agency. However, the whole house smelled stale; there is mold and grime all over kitchen; and in his room there is dry rot and poorly assembled furniture that could break easily with use.
After a serious chat with cleaners (after the fact the tenants did a relatively deep clean of the kitchen), my friend and I contacted the deputy manager, and in response he claimed "that due to the age of the house, it is deemed acceptable to be kept in a subpar condition, and deemed unnecessary to [deep] clean." Having personal experience with letting agencies in London during my universities years, such a blatant response to a concerned tenant is shocking.
Just because the tenants are mostly students, it is unprofessional to speak to and treat young adults in this manner as an agency.... that targets university students.

Zoe Banks at Coapt has been amazing. Zoe is so positive and enthusiastic as well as being totally reliable, with excellent communication skills. She has efficiently and calmly talked through the best ways to market our student rental property in Brighton and was very quickly successful in securing a tenancy. Zoe always responds promptly to e mails and phone messages as well as taking the initiative when appropriate. Without hesitation I would give Zoe and Coapt 5 stars in terms of quality, value, professionalism and responsiveness.

Sadly theres no minus option for stars, as this is what their true rating should be. We have lived here since late August, and since then have Emailed and called Coapt countless times complaining of BLACK MOULD (toxic substance, to ignore this issue is illegal?) in our upstairs bathroom that has no windows for ventilation or any other method for us to prevent this. We can old wipe away the black mould over and over, a health hazard in itself. Our dryer has been malfunctioning for months, we are still left without one, for two weeks now. So boring to write this again but the internet is STILL unfixed, we have less than a megabyte 90% of the time, with 8 university students living here and paying such a high price, how are we over 6 months into living here and this not fixed??? The downstairs bathroom lock is still broken, and has been since we first moved here, the fence in the garden is blown completely over, i could go on and on. We have tried over and over to get into contact but each email ends with "we will get back to you tomorrow" shocker the replies don't come and when they do its more false promises. I didn't want it to come to this, but unfortunately the service here is so awful this is all i have in my power to do, STAY AWAY FROM COAPT.

she has provided us all with details of everything we need, along with making sure we are up to date without pressuring us. there has been help at times when we need it and mega quick (I mean literally 2 seconds????) responses which is SO helpful!
Zoe has provided us with understanding and clarity on anything when we need it too, and provided information which is would have missed out on as hadn't even thought about a lot of things!
Going into my third year of university with no stresses about a housing situation is freeing and feels fab!

Dealing with Coapt has been a pleasure. I viewed the house I am taking with Teekay who was very professional and trustworthy made a good impression and talked us through the next steps clearly and precisely. Also Te-Sha had been amazing in communicating with our perspective landlord over some questions we have had. All this was done in a timely manner and compared to previous estate agents I have dealt with in Brighton, Coapt have been by far the best. Always been super cautious with student letting agents in Brighton in the past as I have had some horrible situations but oapt has really proved my doubt wrong. Everyone I have dealt with have been kind, patient and informative which make such a change. Any problems we have had with the house have been sorted ASAP and we always feel as if we are treated like a priority. Couldn't recommend them more!

A very disappointing experience. Sorting out viewings was challenging enough, we had organised viewings for flats and houses that either CoApt didn't turn up to or didn't have the key for. Once we did get our flat, one of my flatmates got shown around the flat by someone who didn't know anything about the place. My flatmate wasn't given a copy of the inventory on arrival, and was told it would be given later in the week, conveniently after the 48 time period to make any adjustments to it. The only positive was the flat itself, which was a decent flat and cheaper compared to my previous flat. It was the end of tenancy where the real problems started. We went to the flat to clear it out to discover our remaining items had been removed by the landlord. CoApt told us that the landlord was given permission by a member of staff from CoApt to enter our property as we had left. This was before our tenancy had ended (the same member of staff had asked us to move our tenancy date so that they could get 3 new tenants in, so they knew exactly when our tenancy ended), and without contacting us to let us know. We eventually got some of our items back, with the rest, as we were told had been "sold, given to a charity shop, or thrown away". So not only have we paid 12 month's rent after not living in the flat for the last 5 months, we had our items taken away and a landlord that trespassed in our property without any notice or contact. We were given a very small amount of compensation which didn't cover the missing items. Our deposit was also given back in full as "compensation" although this is not compensation, as we made sure our flat was maintained perfectly. To make matters worse, one of my flatmates was left a voicemail by a member of staff and after the member of staff had thought the voicemail ended, they decided to gossip about my flatmate whilst the voicemail was still recording. If you're going to Brighton or Sussex, avoid CoApt. If it means paying a bit more somewhere else, it's worth it.
