Far most poor service from M&S, staffs don’t know how to deal with the customer. Shelf check out didn’t give me the correct change, to get help also no one was available near the checkout and somehow find someone call Natalie, and said this machine didn’t give me the change she said I need to call the manager and he/she will check and investigate so wait. She rang the bell for more than 3 times no one didn’t come for more than 13 mins, then this lady come back to me and said sorry managers are in a meeting can’t do nothing, I’m finishing now and she left. What a shame on Marks and Spencer customer service, I waited and asked for an another person for the manger to make a complaint, someone came called ‘’Adil “ saying he is the manager of the store, and said or sorry I can’t do nothing my apologies. I don’t want to say nothing after that, I said thank you and left the store.will not visit this M&S again. It’s not about the change, it’s the customer service matter.. Very very poor service...

Racial profiling takes place at this branch. I often have a member of staff standing guard next to me or behind me at the self service tills whilst I scan and pay for my goods. Staff scrutanise every item I scan, until my payment has gone through and the receipt is printed. White shoppers are not subject to this treatment. This is abhorant beviour from Marks And Spencers employees, it makes me feel angry and uncomfortable, and when it happens, I CHALLENGE IT.

No human checkouts, only robotills. Staff refused to use the one normal till, which was being used as an impromptu storage area. Unacceptable. Left unable to purchase the water I wanted for my journey, thirsty and astoundingly disappointed. By the way, dozens of open fridges refrigerating almost everything (including bread?!!!?) are extremely bad for the environment. Plan A because there's no Plan B?

This store has a good selection of food to go, as well as ready meals and other fresh ingredients. There's a range of fresh bakery goods that are good quality. The queues can be long however there's usually enough staff to keep it moving.

Highly not recommended They are charging their customers premium and not giving enough value. If you're on the go make sure you avoid them or you'll be ripped off. Waterloo Station has plenty of other shops and they all are worth.

Busy Marks and Sparks food store located inside Waterloo Station on the lower concourse at the far end opposite platforms 9 and 10. Reasonably selection of fresh food on offer even though it’s a relatively small store in comparison to the larger food halls in out of town stores. Ideal for the traveller who needs a quick snack or are running late and want to pickup packet meal for dinner. Recommend there range of curries for price and convenience and of course taste over other stores offering similar microwave style packet foods.

I visited to return a purchase from 2 days ago of 3 formal shirts of which one turned out to be a party/ tuxedo shirt and it wasn't obvious at the time of purchase. The staff at the store, showed reluctance to accept the return from the start and finding excuse not to do so. They first enquired that whether the purchase was made at the same store (it was) and started saying they usually are not able to accept returns at this store as this was a franchisee! Then they said that shirts that have been removed from the original packaging and repackaged by the customer cannot be accepted. Then they started to examine the collar looking for whether it was worn, intentionally as an insult. Finally, they said they cannot accept as they need all the original packaging material which was all in the bag. They did finally accept the return after a bit of argument!

Just left the Old Vic and wanted quality food after All My Sons. (Surprised that this store opens till 12am, everything closes too early in London) M&S, making me feel like I'm not in London but living in New York instead. Everything l need and didn't need were on the M&S shelves, so gladly spent more as always. Bonus to pick up lunch for a few days ahead since everything dated had at least three days worth of life left! Just a Brilliant ending to a perfect evening .

It's a huge station. What can you say? Big. Manages a vast amount of traffic efficiently.

Lovely M & S with very good selection of food. Best place to pick up food at Waterloo station. Lovely selection of salads and bakery, no hot food sadly.

Busy store that can get chaotic during peak times. Not to worry though there are a ton of self service machines and manned tills. Nice range of stock and a small but handy clothing section upstairs.

It's a decent sized food outlet, smallish to moderate selection of food choices and sandwiches, cold drinks etc available, but it can take quite a while to pay even with the self service checkouts. Make sure that you have plenty of time to shop, pay and get your train.

Ok selection of products. Abysmal organisation / coordination of staff. Only a couple of available tills open, big queues, staff just standing about, meal deals labelled ambiguously.

Sometimes, one gets treated really, really well and sometimes the service is not that great. For my last few visits to this place, it is mostly the latter. If you want to be treated like a piece of dog mess, this is the place for you to shop. Members of staff are rude, curt, lazy and lack manners and class. The machines simply do not work properly. When I attended an M & S at London Gatwick, where I gave the place five stars, they did not have self service machines. I was happy to wait in the queue because the members of staff were ever so nice. I saw one woman be so vile and unnecessarily to someone who was just trying to shop. I should have said something and stood up for the customer. Some of the staff need an attitude adjustment. 1. Shopping there is now a burden and it used to be a pleasure. If you want to buy a bag, you have to find a member of staff and then explain. Nothing is easy nor simple. 2. Staff are too busy talking to one another to do any good. 3. When other people are using the self service machines, one cannot tell if they are machines which accept cards and which ones accept cash. Thus, people don't often know where to queue. Members of staff just point in the general direction and are too busy talking to one another to be of any use. 4. Members of staff never seem to listen to their customers. 5. The machines never seem to make purchasing anything an easy task and it gets very annoying. This place used to be nice, but since the self-service tills have been installed, this place is absolute rubbish. Members of staff seem to be completely unaware of when customers need help. There are tills constantly in need of carrier bags and staff do not pay attention when the red lights are flashing, indicating that there is something wrong with a machine or a customer needs assistance.

Spent £1.60 on a warm small can of drink. Total rip off. M&S in general is the worst shop around and is the most expensive. Food is disgusting. Staff are ignorant. I vow never to shop at M&S ever again

Very rude unhelpful staff member, re-arranging packets of cooked meats and pushing me out of the way as I tried to assemble 3 packets "Mix and match" for £7. Finally I left the basket with my prospective purchases and went across Waterloo Road to Sainsbury's, where goods and staff much better.

Convenient branch of M&S in the heart of Waterloo. It’s not inexpensive but as expected the quality and range of the food is excellent. I would suggest that some thought should go in to staff training though. I am certain that the young lady who served me (Eunice) has never had any training in how to deal with customers, even on a basic level. Rude, abrupt and I don’t think she could have mustered a smile if her life depended on it. Maybe a role in the back away from customers perhaps?

Is this a joke? Wait, no, it’s the future. One human running frantically between human checkout and robot checkout, desperately trying to keep business ticking more than two hours before closing. She was trying her best but was unable to cope. Looks like management has given up on this place :[

Great range of food for a station branch. The cashiers are very fast too. Even when the queues are big you are only waiting a few mins. Impressive and efficiently run just how it should be for a station branch.

Nice little store! Sandwiches, drinks, flowers and grocery top-ups. If you have a bit of spare time, there is also a bigger Marks & Spencer store just 50 metres away within Waterloo station.

BUSY...and though they have an immense footfall they still charge significantly more than their excellent Walworth Rd branch...you don't get to appreciate the staff as they are so busy and unable to give the usual M&S customer care...the food is of M&S standard of course...have just come from the station

The staff are so rude. I was about to miss my train as the que was too long so I decided not to buy my stuff and put it on a random shelf and a man started yelling at me telling me to put it back where i got it from. In the end I missed my train.

Awful selection of food and incorrect prices. They don't have any cereal for the early morning commuter but have a vast and varied array of crisps that takes up a whole section of the shop. The prices of sandwiches and deli bits are ridiculous compared to other Marks stores elsewhere.
