I have been coming to this shop since childhood; got my first bra here.
Don't like the vibe today. Swings and round abouts with regards to the standard of service and I must say it's been a long time since security guards made me feel uncomfortable.

You have a wonderful store! You have a huge audience. You are on a busy high street. Yet you act and behave like your thriving! Meaning no one bothers to ask you if they can help. They stay behind the counters folding clothes or bedding. You miss so many opportunities to engage. I don’t like writing bad reviews .. but this is now a norm for your store as unfortunately I want to shop with you which I have tried over and over again. But each time I refuse to as the service is never there. Get some interest back on the floor shop for your customer and get some customer service back .. bonus your teams , watch them , look and you will surely see it - it’s in your face. Can you really afford to continue operating this way. You lost 100 pounds from me today. As a member of Morley’s club you are not untouchable from the pandemic or providing non existent customer service. Such a great store .. don’t fail cause you of lack of customer service!

I love this place. We're so lucky in Brixton to have a proper department store that sells everything from luxury cosmetics to haberdashery items, bed linens,and cookware. You can get beautiful gift wrapping at the perfume counter too - perfect for last minute but thoughtful gifts.

Yeah, returned to buy that Dorothy Perkins faux leather mini skirt with 2 pockets as I kept thinking about it over the last few weeks (out of London & out of the country) & seeing others in one & thinking 'I could rock that'. Surprised it was still there - last one & even better that it was reduced even more to £8 & fit: made for me. So.... yeah ????

Very affordable food.
Is a bit greasy but the best fried chicken in the area.
The scruff is friendly, service is quite fast.
They accept American Express, the are open until late.
Not delicatessen, but always perfect for a quick fix.
I have it at least twice a month.

I needed some benefit products for my eyebrows and was helped by a lovely lady called Diana? I believe. She was excellent help and was willing to spend time with me not just trying to sell as much as possible as soon as possible. Good service would recommend.

I went into Morleys of Brixton for the first time today, and didn't get a great impression when I initially walked into the store. At the ground level, there are mainly makeup / skincare and fragrance counters, which I normally would love to browse, but the majority of staff that I saw were standing behind the counters looking worse for wear.
Perhaps they had had a big night out? Either way, not a good vibe.
As I continued around the store, I noticed that the sales assistants in the clothing area were also unenthusiastic to be at work, and seemed really unhappy. So, yeah...can't say much for the staff side of things, and if you've read any of my other reviews on Google Maps, you'll see that that's one of the most important things to me.
That aside, the store itself is alright. It has a decent range of brands, but I found the clothing to be quite edited down. I feel like I wouldn't be able to shop there for clothes very easily as the selection just isn't there. If you're after Warehouse, Miss Selfridge or Topshop, you'll be able to find a bit of a better selection, but again quite small compared to other department stores.
Overall, I think Morleys of Brixton was worth a visit, but I won't be in a rush to head back there. I'd prefer to go to a larger department store with a wider selection of clothing, and staff who are happy to have a job.

This is a store that has no character of its own, it's just a series of outlets, like an indoor market. Perhaps it serves the needs of some customers, but in no way is it really a department store any more. My first job, 50+ years ago was here and it was like Grace Brothers in "Are you being served". Nostalgia is not what it used to be.
