The best department store in the whole of London IMO! Cool relaxed vibe. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. I just love the Food Hall, makeup counters, Shoe Gallery, roof top restaurant, cafes ... a great place to shop or do some serious window shopping. Detox, revamp, discover, style, dream ... ❤️❤️❤️

Always been my favourite ‘premium’ shopping destination. The layout is very easy to navigate and staff are always happy to help!
Only downside (post lockdown) is that it can get very busy and I don’t find there is much monitoring of how many people are entering / exiting

I only went to the food hall part of Selfridges because of the lockdown restrictions. However, I like the shop. It was beautifully decorated and was certainly grand. The prices are high but to be expected for a high-end department store. If it is your first time visiting London then it's worth a visit if you're into window shopping.

Okay, the store itself looks fancy and is nicely decorated. But the sales assistants on the ground floor especially the beauty section... what can I say, every time i went been to Selfridges I was pretty much ignored 95% of the time. I don’t know why. Maybe I don’t look like a worthy customer to them? (I do not dress fancy) Most of them looked like as if life were sucked out of them with blank facial expressions; or they giggled with each other and completely ignored a customer like me. Many of them would reluctantly respond to my questions regarding products which really put me off from buying anything at all.
I will give credit where it’s due. There were several nice people who are happy with their jobs and try their best to be helpful indiscriminately, but they are the rare gems. You won’t meet them every time.

Exceptional selection of products. My favourite area has always been the bottom floor, filled with artistic furniture, decor pieces, dining/kitchen accessories, and high-tech electronics. I come here pretty often as there's always new products coming in.

Still closed as are yet to come out of lock down but Selfridges is always a place of beauty, inspiration and glamour. Great food, amazing designer clothes and amazing window displays. Selfridges is where art, clothes and elegance meet. You have to visit this place to get a glimpse of what shopping on Oxford Street really is and if you are a jewelry person give it 1 hours at least just for the posh ground floor only. You will love it here. Be ready for crowds though as this place is busy.

Selfridges is easily one of the best department stores in the world. Unlike Harrods which caters to a more specific group, Selfridges has everything for everyone. Whether you’re looking for the latest piece of smart tech or the newest fashion brands, Selfridges has it all. What makes Selfridges unique is it attitude and commitment towards making everyone feel welcome. If you are planning on making you’re way into the city, then I would definitely recommend visiting Selfridges, especially during the festive season.

The store is filled with shoppers who prefer to use the words “cop” instead of “buy”. Masks are non existent and not enforced by security or staff, the store assistants like to serve someone else while dealing with you, and nowadays there are also knife fights happening there (read the news). The old glamour is long gone.

Visited to use the click and collect service only. Was smooth and fast experience. Turned up waited about 5 minutes to get my order. There were about 20 other customers there too at the same time so a 5 minute wait to be seen and given a parcel is not bad personally.

Moved magazines.to basement and cut how many they have. So can't just go in, grab a hard to find mag and out. And they have a DJ down there...among the chocolates!! Wheres the sense? I can understand fashion department..but chocolates, magazines and books?

Really nice store and wasn't too crowded Sunday lunch time. I didn't had to wait on a queue to go inside. I have not been in shops since last year before the lockdown (apart from grossery stores). It's different experience from what I remember as you can't touch the perfumes and the makeup.

Extremely rude lady who regulates the queue in the female toilet area (due to covid). She shouted at us like those primary school teachers, telling us to move back and forth , then came back suggesting that I should take my son to the male toilets (even though I said he does not need it) then suggested that one of the male caretakers should take my son to the toilet. The thing is, you can make all these suggestions (though bizarre) but once the person says ‘no thank you’ you need to move on. She repeated the same thing and shouted at us so everyone was staring. Of course I gave her her deserved answer there but I thought it would be good that people know about her attitude.
Selfridges as a whole though, your customer service is ridiculously bad. This is also one reason people are now heavily using online shopping because it’s convenient and because we don’t have to deal with the disgusting attitudes of staff.

At Christmas amongst £500 of spending at Selfridges online I received confirmation that some flowers were delivered late. The recipient claims never to have received them. Selfridges stopped responding to emails and even a letter. In addition they cancelled another Christmas gift with no notice. By going to them I thought I was paying a premium to avoid this hassle. Never again.

Have been coming here for years. Not sure if it's due to covid but the beauty department was unusually quiet and reserved. Particularly Charlotte Tilbury staff, very unhelpful and didn't seem to want to get a sale. Ended up leaving without purchase. Same for Huda beauty, very stuck up and unhelpful staff. Not a welcoming place.

I purchased a shirt online and it was the last one. The shirt arrived full of stains and with holes in the fabric!
It has been the worst experience I have ever had as a customer.
The shirt was sold out so they couldn't send a new one and their customer service is the worst! They wouldn't offer anything in terms of compensation when it was entirely their responsability to comply with the purchase.

Upmarket department store where you can get the best of almost everything! From exclusive watches, to the best in make up & perfume brands, to designer clothes and superb food (both ready food featuring different cuisines, oyster bar, restaurants, and a butcher and fissmongers). Lots to peruse and great in the ssles! A must-visit of London!

BEWARE whilst Selfridges may have a name, I recently received extremely poor customer service!! It appears reading down the reviews other customers have received similar service. You have be warned, stay clear as they have a very belligerent attitude towards returning online items. Shop at Harrods or Harvey Nicks instead, never had a problem with them. I was basically accused of returning shoes that had been worn, however they were returned immediately in exactly the same condition received with all stickers intact. I think they also forget we are in lockdown, we cannot go out. My email to them is as follows, hope this helps;
In response to your email, I am enclosing a picture of the returned item given to the courier. As it can clearly been seen the box is in pristine condition. As I have previously stated, the shoes were never worn by my wife as she did not like the style. The condition they were sent back in is exactly the same as they were received.
Furthermore, there was no other way of sending this back as there was no other packaging provided I could off used. We also were all self isolating at the time and could not leave the house. I had no option but to use sellotape otherwise the shoes would have fallen out of the box.
Therefore taking the facts I have stated to which I am willing to sign an affidavit, I am only willing to accept a full refund. A failure of this will result in me taking the matter to court and claiming full costs incurred. I would also like to point out that I have used Selfridges to purchase various things over the last few months. One of the main reasons is good customer service. Needless to say if this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction I will never shop at Selfridges again and will share my full experience on social media.

I took my children to the Selfridges Christmas Market we had to line-up to get in but once we went inside we thoroughly enjoyed it.
There was rides for children food truck selling warm food there was various stalls selling goods.
Selfridges organised the whole event very well and the staff were very friendly and polite.
I hope Selfridges continue to do this amazing event each year.
