We had the most beautiful table and bench made out of reclaimed scaffolding board. Moss was so helpful in designing it with us and getting the details and measurements perfect. We will definitely be going back for future pieces!

Gorgeous hidden gem! Beautiful pieces ranging from wood, pottery, lighting and metal. We purchased two industrial style lamps, Moss and his Co worker were great with us, and double checked that everything was working before we left and overall was a lovely experience. They are only open on weekends but really worth a look if you want some one-of-a-kind home pieces. Prices are reasonable for the handmade nature of the pieces and there's lots of lovely small pieces like vintage coat hooks and recycled glasses if you just want to pick up something small. Thanks again to the lovely staff!

Moss has done a beautiful job - he has now made 4 shelves, an extendable dining table, a bench and two stools for us. We were so impressed with the amount of thought and creativity he put into every item, to make sure we ended up with furniture which worked in the space we had, as well as looked fantastic. On top of that, the craftsmanship Moss applied is clear to see and the cost was less than many of the high street options. We would happily recommend Gathering Moss to any of our friends who are looking for furniture.

We absolutely love the dining room table and bench that we purchased from Gathering Moss! The wood is beautiful and the turnaround time was very quick. Moss and Sheila gave us some great advice on the style/colour that would suit our space and delivery was super easy. We'll definitely be coming back to Gathering Moss for more furniture.

We had a special size (very long and narrow) dining room table and benches made by Gathering Moss, which we couldn’t be happier with. It uses wonderfully old wood and is finished beautifully. Moss and Sheila were so helpful throughout the design process (which we felt fully involved in) and were also very patient when we couldn’t quite make up our mind! We would definitely use GM again for other things .

What a lovely shop this is, full of amazing gifts and lovely products that you want to buy for your home. You can also pick up cute gifts for birthdays. Products available include pretty raffia baskets, reclaimed bottles, wooden candle stick holders, pillar candles, wire lanterns, incense sticks, decorative pots, glass vases, wooden carved photo frames, patterned throws and cushions. Make sure you go downstairs where you can see the fantastic furniture which is made by Moss the owner. He can make you anything you want from reclaimed wood from dining tables to coffee tables, shelving units and more. The shop is only open at the weekend from 11am so make sure you put it in your diary and pop in for a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Gathering Moss is a fabulous shop with a real treasure trove of gorgeous, vernacular furniture. I recently ordered a handmade table which I am extremely happy with. Moss was very helpful and patient in terms of the design, and turned it around very quickly. The result is beautiful - and very reasonably priced. I would thoroughly recommend Gathering Moss to anyone interested in carefully crafted, individual (and beautiful!) furniture.

My housemates and I needed a new mail sorter and wanted one that really looked attractive and would last. The suggestion from two of them was to go to Gathering Moss and see what they could do for us, and they did not disappoint. Moss took our requirements, did some research on our behalf and offered us a number of options (both in wood and metal) and ensuring that all details were covered. We recently received the finished product and it looks amazing; we have more space for our mail as well and it's very sturdy. We also all felt that the rate charged was extremely reasonable given the quality and attention to detail. Don't hesitate to go to Gathering Moss if you want something custom made - you will get something unique and long lasting.

I love this store. I had a gorgeous wooden table made with matching benches. But often go in just to have a look. Much nicer and better value than similar stores on upper street, worth the visit.

Moss made me a beautiful desk and a stylish dining room table. He and Sheila were very helpful and patient (even when I changed my mind about dimensions) and the furniture is very well made and pleasingly different to what you can find on the high street. Arranging delivery and payment was straight forward and quick. Highly recommended.

Completely infuriating. We visited Gather Moss at the start of the year to buy some floating shelves. They took our details and promised to call and we then heard nothing at all, despite calling them up and chasing them. Decided to give them another chance in March and let them know that we'd been ignored and they again promised to call us. Over a week and a half on and after leaving another answerphone message, still nothing. Totally baffling, as it's a lovely shop but it seems like they just don't want our custom.
