My annual health check re a condition I have was carried out today by a Markfield nurse. The young lady was meticulous and very professional. Plus friendly and welcoming.

Phoned centre 10am, only wanted advice on pain under ribs. Told abruptly appointments full for the day ring up Monday 8am for appointment. I said I'd get advice on Internet. I'm in a bit of pain and got to wait all weekend for ade. No way am I going to A&E to put them under more pressure.

The doctors is overall quite good, there is a large waiting area which is clean and tidy inside and your can self check yourself in for appointment which is great. If u need an appointment it can be quite hard as you have to ring in or go in first thing at 8 which for most people is hard with work etc sometimes you don't get through and when u do appointments can be taken. When u do get an appointment it is often same day and most the doctors are helpful.

Wife phoned today toget an appointment with doctor about her skin cancer. Doctor only works Monday and Thursday. She could not get in. Asked to make an appointment to see doctor and told to phone on the monday. Asked want does she do if she can not get an appointment told to phone Thursday. My wife told the lady the doctor had requested to see her after 6wks. Lady on phone said she should have started phoning 6wks ago. If it wasn't so serious it would be funny. Terrible they should be ashamed.

This is probably the worst medical centre that I have ever had the misfortune to be registered with!...If you want to live sign up with someone else!

Used to be a great practice. Their new booking system has made it well near impossible to get an appointment. Whose 'clever' idea was it to get everyone to ring at 8am at the same time to try to get an appointment? I mean how many phone lines and receptionists do they have? It must be mayhem for the first 30 mins of the day!. Surely it would be better for them for the calls to be staggered. At this time we are getting children ready for school and getting ready for work, as I'm sure alot of other people are so it's actually the worst time of day for most people to call. My husband has an on going condition and rang 20 times before getting through only to be told there are no appointments, and he's told he can't make one later in the week and he will need to ring at the same time the next day only to not be able to get through again! Maybe the planets will one day align and an appointment will be available and we will actually get through! The receptionist said they could offer alternative appointments at Coalville or Loughborough but guess what?! - all those have gone too! In the end he had to drive to Hinckley at 9pm after a full day at work when he wasn't feeling well. He was then referred back by them to his 'own' GP at Markfield but obviously hecan't get an appointment to see them because the phone is permanently engaged at 8am. I think this is a doctors surgery who doesn't want to see their patients!! They don't ring back with test results, they expect you to have some kind of telepathy to know when your results are back or to keep ringing everyday and wasting everyone's time till they have arrived.

Not one to visit Doctors unless it is something serious but this practice has a policy to make everyone ring at 8am to book appointments for the same day - Emergency or not. They do not book in advance or for another . I have been ringing for well over 30 minutes and they have a busy tone and this is always the case - All you get a busy tone! If only Laura Gibbson can speak to Dr Christopher John Trzcinski and tell him that there are 90 year old patients who have arthritis and cant keep dialling and heating a busy tone for 30 minutes or a mother with a sick toddler. If he doesnt want to change his policy then he could spend some of his money and introduce a call waiting system. "You are 11th in the que" with a polite message. That would be

Customer Service
The most horrible surgery I ever been to! The staff is incompetent. My husband suffers from stomach problems for two months. We tried to see GP twice this week. Firstly they referred us to a nurse and then today they called and explained that GP will not be able to see us due to reasons they didn’t even explain. Absolutely horrible place! Do not recommend! Think twice before you go there!
