I could ask no more from this surgery, they have been so friendly, understanding and professional. For example, a few weeks back I rang about a missing prescription and the receptionist sorted it out there and then and I was able to get my medication the same day. Brilliant! Today I had a phone call from a GP as I had left a query with them via email. The GP had spent time researching my question and contacted other medical staff at the LRI who were looking into it. I had a phone call to say I’d not been forgotten and to up date me with the progress! Now who could ask for more than that!! Excellent!

Been trying to book a smear test over the phone now for 2 weeks but can't get through it keeps saying your moving up the queue but waited for neally 30 minutes and got cut off. I'm getting worried now as you are told how important a smear test is but unless I go down in person which I'm to busy at the moment what else can I do.

The practice are definately aware of the issues with the new phone lines which fingers crossed gets resolved as soon as possible but my 5 stars goes to my experience with the front desk and Dr Brockhurst. Very approachable and caring!

Can anyone explain to me why our GPS are not seeing their patients! Yes I know theres a global pandemic but feel very annoyed after several calls my elderly mum was told GP cant see her go walk in centre I took her last night and we sat in the car for over 3 hours waiting to be seen she has a severe eye condition which needed treatment the poor staff at the urgent care centre were under such pressure because of thus situation ! Surely if we are ALL back to work they should be more than ever!! Rant over!!

Why aren't the doctors working? Covid is no excuse. They should be in their offices seeing patients.

EDIT From 1 star to 4 star There are more phone lines...you still have to phone at 8am but there is a chance you'll only be waiting 20 mins! Dr Bridges is wonderful and the nurses are superb. The receptionists have had a serious personality overhaul and the new younger staff are MUCH more pleasant.

The reception staff need more training, I have had 3-4 bad experiences with different receptionists over the phone now at Woodbrook, I am constantly hearing negative comments about the staff and not sure why more training has not been put into place yet, especially in a job that they're doing. Being a receptionist in a medical practice about being professional and wanting to help the patient or even so maybe listen? Not making the patient feel like they're wasting the receptionists time, no one ever answers the phone in a positive tone, except one receptionist who has always been bubbly, but not sure about the rest? I never leave reviews but in this case I feel like I have to as I dread to call my own surgery up! It's such a shame as I've only been registered for around 1 year with the surgery. The doctors are lovely and always welcoming same with the nurses and the ANP. But seriously something needs to be done with professionalism, maybe a senior receptionist in place? Or even so plenty of courses are available for the receptionists to go on!

Being part of the health profession, I totally appreciate the pressure that the healthcare professionals work under. My mum , bless her had been ill - she passed away between 6-7 am this morning. I called the GP at 8:00 am to call a doctor out to certify her death - At 2:30 pm and 3 phonecall later still waiting. Is this acceptable ? Caring Well Led Team and responsive ? Demonstrates dignity in life and death and equal and diverse I think not ! So where are the teams that make sure we get the service that we have been promised ?

Tried to get an appointment today and between 2 phones we rang 200 times in the space of 15 minutes and still couldn't get through to make an appointment. In the past when trying to arrange an appointment the receptionists can be very rude and unprofessional. Most of the doctors there are kind and helpful and it's only due to them that we stay.

Excellent service from Dr Noble, courteous, thorough and professional. Reception might use "Please", Thank you" and, dare I say, a "Good morning" in response to mine. Not a particularly warm welcome.

staff giving incorrect information and refusing to see emergency visitor without registering at practise , this is not what the NHS website says. You should be able to visit using a gms3 registration . BUT NOT ACCORDING TO THESE RUDE RECEPTIONIST. Denied services to a GP is terrible. But at least they have 15 to 20 reserved appointments every day for immigrants who have never paid a penny into the U.K

After years with this practice and being chronically ill (as previous doctors are well aware) Dr Ghally took it upon himself to tell my mother to "get on with it" (life!) and then describe how we can't have it all ways.....after all, he had to work with the "blacks" in South Africa! (ironic! oh, and not at all racist!!). How totally unprofessional this moron has acted. So much so, that my mother is now worried about ever going to the doctors again in case she gets another strip torn off her. Just the sort of treatment she did not need as she is so poorly, but then again, why should he care? He's only her GP after all!! I am absolutely disgusted that she has been treated this way. She tries her hardest not to bother the doctors and is severely depressed at the moment. So, being told to get on with it is the worst thing he could have said to her!! Useless!!

Very rude, very unhelpful, most receptionist talk to you like you’re nothing. Some doctors can be rude, not very happy. And all of that is after you’ve been trying to ring up for ages because the phone is engaged and you have to keep ringing and ringing trying to get an appointment and then you get through to make an appointment and they hang up on you!

Couldn't even book an appointment two months in advance, phone operators were both rude and aggressive, said to call between Monday and Saturday at 8am to see a doctor, just to find out they're closed on Saturdays, I can appreciate that, but don't lie to people because you are too lazy to say else wise. Disgusting.

1 star simply because less isn't an option! I tried to book an appointment today for my husband, I had to go into the doctors as constant phone calls weren't answered! I was told they were fully booked and couldn't get him in (second day in a row) then while I was still there a muslim woman came in asked for an appointment and got straight in - fully booked???? obviously not! When I asked why they said they have to keep 15-20 appointments free for immigrants who have just got into the country having paid nothing in while my husband who has constantly paid in to the country since leaving school 19 years ago doesn't get offered 1 15 minute appointment - they didn't even ask how urgent his need for a doctor was - disgraceful!

As someone who struggles to wake up any time before 10am (shift work) I was very disappointed when my call wasn't taken when I rang up. It kept saying line busy and wouldn't put me through. It would be much better if they would install a queue system so people didn't have to keep ringing the number but would just wait to be served. At this time I have been calling for 24 minutes with no sign of getting through. Totally unprofessional.

Rang at lunch time and got an appointment same day. The doctor was very friendly and made me feel at ease and seem to take a genuine interest in my health.

Not being able to pre-book an appointment is ridiculous. Working full time means you can not always get to ring up first thing in the morning or just pop out of work without prior notice. If you don't need to see a Doctor urgently you should be able to pre-book for a suitable day & time.

LIES AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR FROM DR GAHLI. I have been in this GP trying to complaint, but the supervisor is in his annual leave and they said they don't have any complaint forms in the reception, they asked me to write a letter, then here is the letter. I had an appointment last 10/05/2018 in this GP with Dr. GAHLI, my daughter came with me because of my illness -I was diagnosed with a rare neurological incapacitating illness last January, and my treatment has terrible side effects as speech and sight problems. I wanted to ask for a second opinion due to my impossibility to contact with my neurologist. I am an EU national with full time working contract in UK. Dr. GAHLI told me to go back to my country from the beginning, when he realized how unfortunate was his comment and he asked to his supervisor to stay as a witnesses too, once the supervisor was there he tried to put it in the context that I should go back if I want another treatment, surgery, or a second opinion. They both told us that as a foreigner we have not this right. Then Dr.Gahli blame me to miss many appointments, that's absolutely false. And in the end he blame me in front of the supervisor always, to waste 40 minutes in my visit, and that was a huge lie because we were waiting for him 35 minutes in the waiting area. After this last lie we left, having a neurological illness and having speech problems, and with only support of my underage daughter I couldn't confront them. Once at home I called 111 and PALS Leicester Royal, and they confirmed I have the right of this second opinion, and asked me to write this complaint, but in the GP reception they tell to write a letter without giving me any email. I hope they can read my letter here.

Very disappointed in the service I get when I call up to make an appointment or stop by the medical centre itself. I feel like I am not listened to, any problems or queries I have are pushed to one side. I was refused my repeat prescription and told it wasn't on any record? When I called in for an urgent appointment I was told my problem was not urgent. Generally a poor reception service and I would not recommend to anyone.

We had been registered with the Woodbrook Medical Centre for more than five years. The staff there were very professional and never had any issues when needed to book an appointment. Really thankful to the sraff and GPs there. I would not call the staff extremely friendly but they provided the much needed service whenever we contacted them.

i would have to agree with the last 2 reviews, i have been going to this doctors all my 34 years of my life, it was great, in the last 10 years it has been declining, it was slightly more controlled when dr ryan was there but after he left it seems like the main one now is dr ghaly, now let me tell you my story, everytime i need to see a doctor i have to go in at 8am to the surgery because they never answer their phones after 8am and if they ever do answer 15 minutes later there is no appointment with the doctor you want, so even when i go there and i am first to ask for an appointment and most appointments are already booked which makes no sense, now going back to dr ghaly, he kept my mum waiting this year for 1.5 hour even though she had an appointment booked and she came home upset, so she told me about it and i rang the reception there to tell ghaly to apologize to my mum thats it, i did get a little angry but no swearing, anyway dr ghaly being the smug lazy (being paid too much) man that he is never apologized and a week later i received a letter from woodbrook medical centre saying that i was abusive and "if you ever behave in this manner again, i will have no alternative but to remove you from the patient list at this surgery", I was extremely offended by this, I have always gone to this surgery, if a doctor does wrong he should apologize but thats the truth about ghaly he is smug, now what really upset me was the person who wrote this letter was a muslim woman shahena khatun (operations manager), which upset me more further, muslims actually never used to come to this surgery until the past approx 10 years when the surgery they used to go to closed down, so they all now come to woodbrook medical centre. Anyway i have seen all doctors there, dr taylor, dr kok shun, dr noble, dr bridges and a couple of new ones and they have been great, the doctors there are great except dr ghaly who acts like he is doing you some sort of favor, I maybe go doctors once a year thats it. two real problems with woodbrook medical centre, its now being overrun by muslims, muslims seem to have more rights and musilms are now in more control there, dr ghaly is a anti hindu muslim loving sikh, and is being overpaid and shows no respect to patients, but doctors in general are getting more lazy, around 20 years ago doctors used to see a patient every 10 minutes, now its like 3 an hour, so the problem is doctors are naturally becoming more lazy and they wages have gone up, none of them could stand one day in a chinese bootcamp. but i am basing my review off lack of appointments, the islamic takeover of woodbrook medical, the islamic appeasement and dr ghaly, besides that i would have given in a 5 out of 5 cuz all other doctors are great, i also like the nurses and some of the reception staff who are nice.

I booked an appointment there last year about an eyelid bump. Dr Ghally wanted to cut off the bump using a scalpel instead of refering me to an eye clinic to have it removed. I thought that didnt seem rigbt so I said id rather see another gp for a second opinion. I thought he was rude to me and highly unprofessional. The reception staff where also very rude when i spoke to them about booking another appointment to see a different GP
