Came from the uni, nice atmosphere next to the canal and cheap drinks!
Had a great time with friendly staff who were happy to make conversation with us even after a few drinks.

It's a nice little pub on the canal where you can bring dogs inside and have a meal or a pint (or both!). Kids welcome and has a pool table. Seating isnt too bad, plenty of space to walk to the bar. Food is a decent price for what you get and quite tasty too

This place is a pub, it next to a canal boat you can see if you eat outside. The money value is good, staff was nice friendly to chat with. There is a children's menu. But there is a problem if you want to go this place and the problem is there is no car park, you have to find the car park yourself.

The Boat Inn in Loughborough is a fantastic place to go and enjoy a great evening out. The team under the management of Wayne and Gaz have done a great job to protect the public due to the covid19 pandemic. Great service from lovely staff..... be it a meal or just drinks. The changes they have made are great with the outdoor garden and the inside. So come on people support your local pub you will have a fantastic evening. ????????????????????????

I love this place. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good whilst being excellent value. Above expectations by far. Somewhere to return to, to spend time with friends and enjoy the atmosphere in proximity to the canal. Recommended.

Tasty inexpensive food good service slightly spoiled by inconsiderate dog owners allowing dog to roam about the pub calling it instead of putting it on a lead. The pint was tasty.
Will be calling again. Looking forward to going in the summer as its next to the canal.

The Boat Inn is social pub part of Loughborough's working history. A lovely place to have a nice refreshing pint or two after a long walk. There is a beautiful walk down the canal from the Boat Inn to Barrow Upon Soar and back to the Boat Inn roughly 7 miles in distance. Great wildlife can be seen from Majestic Swans to Herons and other bird wildlife.

Lovely pub, friendly staff and atmosphere, pool table lovely canal veiw easy access for disabled, kid friendly, good events place for birthdays and charity dos. Not in the center of town but not far from train, bus taxi and town is a ten minute slow walk. Great place

This is a good pub! It’s. I’ve to be on the river! We arrived by bike and had a quick afternoon pint of a weekend. Staff were friendly and polite. It’s nothing super special...but just a proper pub!

A great place to go in the afternoon. Its canal-side location gives it just enough atmosphere to offset its position in Loughborough. Recently added a lunch-time menu but keeps a fairly light customer frequency. Staff are approachable and exhibit an air of dedication. Can be tricky to reach from the train station or the town centre, though.

Staff are chosen wisely, great chat and good sense of humour, chefs clearly been put through their paces to turn out such quality food, plenty going on here for all ages, kept nice and clean also!! Clearly the managers have their heads screwed on and the staff clearly want to be a part of that team!! Well looked after, great food, great beer, something for everyone and right by the canal!! What more could you want?? Well done all, keep it up!!

This pub has had many 'transformations' over the years, some good, some not so good! At the moment, it is back to being a great little canal-side pub again, which caters for both locals and visitors. We had a Sunday lunch, which was nice and good value at £ 5:75. We will return!

Gorgeous little pub.Friendly and pretty location.Serves food only till 4. If food was served till a little later for dinner time trade I'd give 5 stars. Other than that worth a visit.
