Took my husband for a Sunday birthday lunch not only was the lunch superb beef beautifully cooked when in most establishments experienced beef is chewy. The landlord and staff went out of their way to help us celebrate agreeing to light a birthday cake and they even played happy birthday over the sound system much to my husbands horror. Thought we'd give it a go and they have a small menu and with being extra busy today they had no steak or gammon on a Grill night!!! We did have a joke abt it being a vegetable grill night, but the lady behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming. The food we had wasn't massive ( hunter's chicken ) but very tasty. We will definitely be back

Nice quiet pub, staff are friendly and the food and drink is well priced. Pub has a good atmosphere located on the canal bank so locals and boaters use the pub. Everyone is friendly enough though. They do events everything from karaoke to fund raising, you have to check with staff when they have these events.

Was good to start with, got some really nice snacks, good prices, but then went inside to play pool...watch out for the perv behind the bar...I personally wouldn't go there to play pool again! Was not all bad but outside is better to sit especially as it's by the canal which is lovely. Was a good day for that.

Great location for mooring, locals pub with really good value menu. Kitchen closed early for second visit, great shame. Only 10 minute's walk to Loughborough shops.

Had 1 pint of guest ale and it wasn't good so I complained about it the barman sniffed it and offered me a replacement so I said I'll have a pedigree he said he can't replace it for a full pint as I'd had a couple of mouthfuls so he gave me a short measure in a 1/2 pint glass which I pointed out I had over 3/4s of a pint left of the bad pint he then failed to top it up so we drank up left and won't be going back!!

Went over to The Boat Inn, Loughborough with a Friend and his grand children, had a fantastic meal, the meat pie was delicious, as was the beef burger i ordered, Kids ordered from the children's menu, good selection, and to top it off the price was really excellent. The meal was presented very well and it was hot. Cannot beat it, Chilled out sitting at the side of the canal, with the ducks and swans etc. and narrow boats going back and forth, and many thanks to Wayne, Gareth and crew for lovely friendly service, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Looking forward to karaoke night on Saturday with Wills Karaoke and all the gang at the pub.

We have been here several times whilst visiting family and decided to call last night. To say I was shocked is an understatement; a lady was sat at the bar who appeared to be without any clothes below the waist. She was intoxicated and was actually in a black swimming costume under a cardigan! Her partner was also drunk .The landlord was there and was still serving them with alcohol... I was disgusted. They should have been escorted out and directed home and avoiding the canal outside. We will never go again.
