The pub is great, we were there for a wedding reception in the upstairs room. Perfect for parties and get togethers. The bar staff were kept busy and were really friendly and helpful.
We did get a drink downstairs first and the staff there were friendly too.
This is another dog friendly pub, we will be visiting again with my dog Molly later in the month. Thank you for being dog friendly and making our special friends day absolutely perfect x

Met a group of friends here before going for a curry.
Sampled 4 of the Blue Monkey beers and enjoyed them all.
The pub has a wide range of drinks and real ales served by friendly, knowledgeable bar staff.
Combine that with reasonable prices and a good friendly ambience and the place is 5 stars.
Well worth a visit if you are in Loughborough!

I've had many of the Blue Monkey Brewing beers from here & enjoyed them all.
The pub has a lot of other drinks as well. Most of the bar workers are friendly.
The prices are reasonable & the place has a good atmosphere.
Worth visiting if you're in the area.

Went in for a drink with colleagues after work. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly bar staff. Lovely building with plenty of nooks to sit in. Beer garden was very nice; although we would have stayed out there longer if there were some patio heaters. All in all, first time I've been in there and loved it. Jim

Great little pub, excellent atmosphere. Can be busy and the wait at the bar can get crowded and long. Music is usually great, drink selection is relatively good most of the time, but fluctuates. Has a reasonable outside space if and when you can get a seat. Lovely fireplace in the winter. Recommended for lovers of a good beer or cider who like to chat with friends. Dog friendly at quiet times. Friendly staff. Excellent pork pies. Good function room. Has books for lone patrons to borrow. Occasional beer festivals worth a visit.

I've not actually been here yet, but feel to leave a review on the amazing word of mouth I've heard about this place. I've heard very good things about its beer and prices. It's apparently a small quirky place with a good atmosphere. Also, it hosts a pagan moot here once a month which I feel is very interesting and quite fantastic actually. It's apparently a relaxed friendly environment

The two male staff who ran the quiz were incredibly rude. Our food order, agreed over a week in advance with the pub manager, was taken down wrong which wasn't our fault but my friend's pizza was physically took off him after he'd accepted it. The Quiz itself was terrible - answers are changed by staff at the marking stage if most people get a tricky question wrong and boo the correct answer!! Never seen such a shambles after years of pub quizzing. Cheers

What a great pub, we spent two days here at friends wedding do. Great drink selection, good prices and the star of the show was a lovely young lady called Persy. She was really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I hope the management realise what a gem they have in her.

Great pub with a fantastic aesthetic, very cosy side rooms and furnishings. Great selection of beer from Blue Monkey and a regularly spot for the Ale Society.
Events held and live music are a treat also, the dog show and dress up was a particular favourite.

Great real ale pub with plenty of in house ales from Blue Monkey brewery. Infinity being a local favourite. Good selection of decent lager etc too. Always nice atmosphere whether it's busy or quiet, occasional acoustic bands and a yearly beer festival. Also dog friendly.
A must visit if you're visiting Loughborough and doing a pub tour.

Pub quiz is a great night but you have to book because it's so popular. Decent selection of drinks and outdoor heating round of the pub well.

The grinder continues to be one of the best boozers in Loughborough. Often too busy for it's own good, the only real drawbacks are the predominately Blue Monkey beers (although others are available), and the paucity of food on offer (but it is a proper pub after all) but these are merely facts to be aware of. Fantastic atmosphere - it's hard to remember what a dump it used to be before!
