Very poor service ! They only offered us the opportunity to eat in the bright sun (didn't try to find an alternative), although we reserved the table for a group, 2 days ago. They did not mention it during the reservation and all the sun umbrellas were broken outside; it could have been all arranged if only they were customer oriented. Also, none of them were friendly or smiling. The worst was the manager, who was extremely rude.

Really chilled interior, beautiful garden, especially in the summer Wide range of drinks for every taste and the food is spot on. They have a specific menu for charcuterie and it's excellent. I'll be definately going back there again in the future, a good solid go-to for a chilled drink!

Very poor service with an extremely rude manager (the old one with a beard). (The other waiters were fine though.) Despite booking a table two days before, we were seated on a table outside without any shadow, we were boiling outside. The tiramisu is the worst I ever tasted, I strongly do not recommend. The only good thing is the garden that looks nice.

Very poor service. We had very high expectations but definitely they did not meet them all! First of all, the portions of food were extremely small! Very little amount for sharing between friends. Then, they stopped serving us alcohol and finally there was a confusion with the payment and they said that we did not pay when everything was paid at the moment of ordering!!! So embarrassing! Would not recommend it at all! The service rather than apologizing, they were very rude! So upset. If you want to celebrate a special occasion, avoid this place.

Great garden for the summer with warmers if cold. The pub serves a great selection of food which on previous visits has been of a high quality.

Perfect for a summers evening in the beer garden. Prices are pretty good and some nice craft beers available.

Nice and chilled. Excellent beer garden and devoid of riff-raff. Staff were friendly and attentive to queueing system. However it is very expensive. £5.20 for a shandy seems a bit much, even by millennial hipster standards.

Nice place with a great garden and friendly staff. It's too bright inside though which really harms the atmosphere when it's not packed (during the week)

Slow service from 20 somethings who don't seem to know/care about customers who are paying above average prices for drinks, short measures, grumpy looks and attitude because it's busy, oh no, customers on a Saturday night whatever next! Garden is nice.

Nice Garden, we visited on a Sunday, they played Eurodance quite loudly, a tad incongruent.

I came here for Christmas Dinner. This meal was 95£ per head. I don’t remember putting nausea on my Christmas wishlist. However thats what jolly old saint Hove brought me. Upon arrival we were forced to wait outside in sub zero temperatures with several disgruntled groups of equally unlucky patrons. My father suffered extreme frostbite to his scrotal areas as we were not anticipating a 30 minute wait to be seated. When we were finally ushered inside my fathers scrotal freezing was remedied by ice cold gazpacho. This was drastically overseasoned with enough garlic to kill draculas entire family twice over. Alongside this pungent slurry, we were served thimbles of ‘prosecco’ which was closer to lambrini diluted with a sumo wrestlers bath water. At this point i thought it could not get any worse. That was when we were presented with our starters which far exceeded any horror i could have imagined. We seleted the mushroom starter which came in the form of a limp lifeless mushroom and a flabby old poached egg. The bread it was served on was so stale and moulded there was no need for mushrooms due to the fungi already present. The main course was a shop bought filo pie seasoned with an entire quarrys worth of salt. Inside were perfectly machine cut vegetables floating in a thin phlegm-like gravy served in a stupid teapot?. Once again i did not put a shop bought crusty old pie on my Christmas wishlist. My father had a slab of turkey that resembled roadkill. This was served alongside a ‘pig in blanket’ which the chef has presented in the form of an erect phalice sheathed in saggy bacon, an instant classic....... Finally, the Christmas pudding. This was the only edible portion of the meal however It was not served with cream or brandy butter making it drier than a camels backside. Thank you Hove Place. It is safe to say that our next Christmas dinner will be better than the one we experienced here, even if we spend it eating cold baked beans straight from the tin under a motorway bridge. Cold gazpacho regards, J...

A good pub, with very good food and a pleasant atmosphere. In the summer a large garden that's a must, but book a table if not to be disappointed.
