Great pub in the heart of Hove. Slightly hidden away and technically underground, the Hove Place pub is one of my favourite pubs. It has a great selection of ales, beers and gin and also one of the best beer gardens in Brighton and Hove, accessable only through the pub.
Great for a Sunday roast in the summer away from the bustle of the city, or for a few drinks before hitting the town.

We went there on Sunday 3rd Nov for my husband's surprise 60th , there were 27 of us, the staff were all very organised , all our food came out together and every dinner was perfect. The staff looked after us so well would definitely go again and recommend it to everybody xx thankyou so much xx

Surprisingly big when inside. Lovely garden out the back, a hidden gem. With patio seating at the front. Food was very nice. Busy place so would advise to book if wanting to eat here.

Gourmet pub food with a beautiful beer garden. My family have been coming here for years, went again a few Sundays ago and the food quality is as good as ever. Great staff too. Be aware they don't do table service: you order at the bar with your table number and help yourself to cutlery.

In the heart of Hove, this is certainly a nice pub. Lovely decor and seating area outside. Food is great, superb variety and well priced. Again with the drinks, vast range available. The only cons are that people can reserve tables/areas, which can mean all the seating inside is or will be taken. Also one thing we all found is that the phone coverage is dire. All of us, who are on different providers, had no reception at all. Overall is a lovely pub to visit.

Family, friends, kids, dogs... great menu well executed at all times.
Super friendly young staff, nothing's too much trouble, always great music (CD not live) gorgeous, jungle of a garden with heaters. Even big screen tv's great for lazy summer days .. Olympics/ footy season.
Never been disappointing, amazing sharing puds.

Drinks were reasonable for the area, but sadly the toilets were terrible, and the outside seating was very uncomfortable. Was advised not to eat by local friends, but cant comment on food myself.

Lovely relaxing pub, food was delicious and generous. The garden is beautiful, and I'm sure in the summer will be better. Prices are a tad more expensive, but all worth it in it's nice decor and friendly staff. Will be back soon. I went on a Saturday evening at 8 o'clock and it was starting to fill up.

Popped in for a couple on a Friday early in January. Decent vibe for a couple of middle-aged gents (as we are) and enjoyed chatting to the bar staff about the music. Pub!

Great garden and lovely staff. The food menu looked amazing. I want to go back and have a cheese and meat board as the choice is amazing. I ended up getting something light (red cabbage gazpacho) and it was a bit too left field for me, I wanted something refreshing and it was super thick. Apart from that this place is great!

Always loved this pub. Great for large parties or a intimate drink/dinner.
Wonderful atmosphere, staff friendly and very helpful.
The back garden is huge although you wouldn't realise this until you venture the steps to the top.

We had the 45 day old aged rump steak and wagyu burger. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. The triple cooked chips were fab too. Finished with the chocolate caramel fondant. A decadent yet thoroughly enjoyable Saturday lunch. Service was attentive, polite and sincere whilst busy with a great atmosphere, will definitely be returning ????????????

Good food! Was amazed as it looks small from the outside but is actually a great space with a wonderful and huge garden. Even in winter they have the heat lamps and it's a great place to have a drink and hang out. I would recommed the food + wine here, and look forward to more meals in the garden in Summer

Hit and miss.
Great space with a large and lovely beer garden. Indoors is smaller with low ceilings and modern pub feel. The music can sometimes be loud and not fitting the venue (bit Weatherspoon's)
The food is also hit and miss, I have had great food there but I have also had the same food cooked badly there.
I would recommend the burgers with the option of cheese from the cheese board melted on top.
It would get 5 stars if it was more consistent.
