My daughter and I went for a ring to share and come away with 2 beautiful rings within budget so were very happy. I would highly recommend going here when looking to buy jewellery

Excellent service! I ordered a ring to see it in real life and it looked even better than the photos. I got it checked by an experienced, independent jeweller who verified its authenticity.
I actually chose a different ring in the end from elsewhere because opal would have been too difficult to maintain for every day wear but the antique jewllery company refunded me with no hassle. Free returns and envelope provided.
If you're unsure about whether to buy something I'd order it to make your mind up if you can't visit the store as the service is really great. Thank you AJC.

I've bought necklaces here a couple of times. Although it's not cheap, the jewellery is lovely (and worth seeing in person as the colours often look a lot different in the photos). But on both occasions my buying experience was a bit mixed.
A few weeks after my first visit, the shop contacted me saying my payment hadn't gone through and that I needed to pay them again! After a bit of back-and-forth over several days, with me trying to explain that I had signed receipts from them and that the money had definitely come off my card, they finally realised it was all a mistake in their bookkeeping that they hadn't checked before rushing to accuse me! They said they'd give me a "good discount" on my next purchase.
So, a year later, I visited the shop again, and they did remember about the previous time. I chose a couple of items and they offered me a small discount, which I accepted. But then, after writing it all down, they suddenly decided that they needed to make the discount slightly smaller, so they took the receipt out of my hands and adjusted the "amount payable" upwards. I didn't want to have a big argument about it, so I coughed up the revised total, but it seemed needlessly petty and left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

I was recommended to the Antique jewellery company by a friend, when I was at a loss as to where to go to buy a special piece of jewellery to celebrate my birthday. I needed to be able to trust the stranger who was going to sell me the jewellery, as I am not an expert.
I looked online at the amazing website, so had a good idea of what I wanted before I went down to London. The rings were sized and described in detail, which was a great help, and I ended up buying the one that I had chosen online.
Olly and her family were a delight to deal with. There was no pressure from them to buy, and they showed me so many delightful items that I will certainly return to them and recommend them to other people.
They also took my engagement ring to have a diamond replaced, this was returned to my home in 4 days, sparkling and looking like new.
Now I delight in my new ring and the new friends that helped me to make my choice.

I have purchased two brooches from AJC, one for my mother-in-law's 100th birthday and one for my wife for our Golden Wedding anniversary. Both were exactly what I wanted and - to my relief - both recipients were absolutely delighted with them!
Buying jewellery was a new experience for me. I thought I would be way outside my comfort zone, especially because I know nothing about antique or any other jewellery. For anyone else who identifies with this description, perhaps a few comments might help.
First, the AJC web-site is very impressive. There are thousands of beautiful pieces to choose from. You are spoilt for choice but that is the first hurdle: you need to home in on at least the category you think you want, in my case brooches. I made a short-list of ten brooches, with prices varying from what I could afford to what I might buy after a liquid lunch! You need to make an appointment because AJC is not a normal 'shop'; this is no problem. When I arrived, I met Ollie, who had all the pieces I had selected ready to show me. I have to emphasise that this was a genuinely pleasurable buying experience. Obviously, I spent a lot of money but I really enjoyed my hour there. I was not pressed, there was no hard sell, I could have walked away without buying anything. Everything AJC says on their web-site I found to be genuine and true. It is a pleasure to recommend the Antique Jewellery Company without reserve.

All beautifully designed and made.
The only hard part is which one to choose? Costume jewellery is often from many years ago, and more beautiful for all that ... and lovely pieces may be purchased at modest cost.
My wife's classic Edwardian Bow brooch of faux diamonds and sapphires set in silver, has given her great pleasure, and at a fraction of the cost of the real thing; it has been greatly admired!

I purchased a piece online from the 1800s as a last minute gift for mothering Sunday, yesterday at a very reasonable price after some wonderful and helpful correspondence via email.
The piece arrived very securely packaged today (!) via Royal Mail Signed For Guaranteed Before 1pm Delivery. Upon opening the package that had three layers of secure wrappings, I found that my very delicate item was enclosed in a beautiful, professional jewelers box and securely fastened inside.
The piece blew me away. Not only was it more beautiful than pictured online (which I considered to be near-impossible due to the photography being very detailed and honest), it arrived in the exact condition specified along with a high quality, enveloped, modern thank you card with a full description of the piece that I had purchased, which I also intend to give to Mother as provinence for the piece.
On top of the high quality packaging, beautiful piece and wonderful service, the package also came with a prepaid, signed for return postage bag, so if for any reason I was unhappy with my purchase, the return process would be painless, easy and at no cost to myself.
My whole experience of purchasing from The Antique Jewellery Company start to finish was overwhelmingly positive.
I will definitely be purchasing from you again.
