Ethical sourcing, and custom design were two key elements I was looking for. What I found, was a jeweler who did all that, but more importantly was someone I could build a relationship of trust with. David was very good at talking through the process and explaining any questions up from. Hayley held my hand throughout the rest of the process, and helped make all the final tweaks to the CAD model I was looking for. In the end I have a beautiful engagement ring, that my fiancee loves. Would highly recommend Ingle and Rhode to anyone.

Ingle & Rhode helped my wife and I when we were unfortunate enough to have an engagement ring commissioned by another company that was a long way off what we had expected in terms of craftsmanship.
We spoke to many Jewellers to understand what could be done to present the piece to the specifications and standard that we had originally hoped for but most turned us away due to the complexities of the design which was an Art Deco Sapphire piece.
David's approach was consultative and empathetic to our poor experience and we agreed that we would leave the ring with him in the hope that he could tidy the work of the original item.
We were pleased with what came back but felt that if we gave David and his team the opportunity to start from scratch we could reach the standard that we had originally hoped for. David managed our expectations with professionalism from the get go and reinstated a confidence in us that had diminished so we went ahead with a fresh start.
What we have today is the item that we had always hoped for and it is down to nothing less than the professionalism of David, Tim, Georgie and Jess who have been incredible with us throughout the whole 're-set and start again' experience. They listened, understand and consulted in a way that is set apart from anyone else we had spoken to.
I can't recommend the team at Ingle and Rhode highly enough - a great team of people to work with that simply do what they say they will and get the job done and helped us put a terrible experience behind us.
Thank you all so very much for all your help! The biggest compliment I guess is the next trip to Ingle & Rhode for a matching Sapphire necklace… so my wife tells me!

No problem was too much for Ingle & Rhode.
Despite my deadline being short, me wanting to use a separately sourced stone and having a constantly changing design idea, they had no shortage of patience and interest in me as a customer and person.
They responded almost immediately to all my emails and displayed an intricate and very well applied knowledge of their field. When they said they would do something, they did, and I never once had to chase them to see how things were going because they kept me in the loop so well.
Their prices are competitive and fair.
I would certainly return to them for further business, would recommend them to friends and family and I wish them success in their future endeavours.

Brilliant all round. We wanted a bespoke engagement ring that we could design with guidance given that neither of us are particularly creative. From start to finish Ingle and Rhode were very flexible with appointments and design, honest with what would and would not work and produced great CAD images that really bring what you have in your mind to life. We initially contacted them because of their ethical policy in sourcing the components. We have used the bespoke service twice and on both occasions been delighted with the service and the final article. They spent a lot of time listening to what we wanted . They provided a lovely selection of stones within our budget and produced an excellent design.

They are polite, prompt and very professional. The design process is meticulous and they are eager to get everything right from the start.
The quality of a company shows best when things go wrong, and we can only have the highest praise for the way Ingle & Rhode dealt with a slight issue that occurred during production.
The final product was exactly as per the agreed designs, and delivered within the agreed timeframe.

I cannot recommend this company enough. I struggled with just buying a random engagement ring from one of many jewellers. I also wanted to get an ethically sourced ring and select specifically what I wanted. You can pick the involvement from buying finished ring to full design involvement. I got really into the process and thanks to David, Tim, Jess and particularly Georgie's amazing drawings designed the perfect custom engagement ring. They are not pushy and I had opportunity to see lots of different raw sapphires (sorry I think I went through about 50) and through the whole process they were very reliable, professional and helpful. Plus very reasonable cost for an amazing end product. So happy and most importantly my fiancé loved it. Thank you so much!

I approached Ingle and Rhodes looking to commission a bespoke engagement ring featuring a raw diamond, but knew I only had around six weeks until I needed the final product. The design of the ring (with the help of Tim) took two weeks and then three weeks to make it.
The ring is a stunning piece of jewellery. It is exactly what I wanted and my partner is absolutely thrilled with it. The fact that they could design and produce it in five weeks shows what a fantastic company Ingle and Rhode are. Tim, Jessica and all the team were extremely helpful at every stage, always courteous and prompt in getting back to me.
I keep catching my fiancee just staring at the ring and I think that says it all. I am so pleased to be able to give business to an ethical company and have already booked an appointment to go back for our wedding bands.

I can't tell you how pleased I was with the service, and with the final result. Ours was probably a slightly unusual case, as we live overseas (and have been married for ten years with three children!), but everyone so helpful, from bearing with me as I attempted to iterate my ideas on design, to bearing with two visits with various children in tow.
As for the result, I feel happy every time I look at my ring; it's a beautiful expression of what I was trying to get to in terms of design, and am so glad to know it hasn't damaged the world either. I would heartily recommend Ingle & Rhode.

The one thing I wouldn't compromise on when choosing an engagement ring was on the ethical status of the ring, and Ingle and Rhode delivered in that respect in spades. However, I&R are so much more than that and I was so lucky to find them. I didn't really consider how important ownership of the design would be for me (I'm not the world's greatest when it comes to creativity), but when David put me in the driving seat and helped me through the design process I felt a sense of pride in the ring I helped to produce. My fiance is so happy with the ring and I'm happy that she is happy. She couldn't believe that I'd helped, and neither would I had I not experienced first hand the great mentoring of I&R. I'll go back for our wedding rings, and any other ring that I EVER need.

Having our engagement ring and both our wedding bands designed and made by Ingle and Rhode using their bespoke service we couldn't be happier. The service we received was absolutely perfect, the engagement ring was complete on the Thursday evening and at my door in Aberdeen (at the other wend of the country) first thing Friday morning just in time for me to pop the question.
We really can't recommend them highly enough, always friendly and on hand to help out with queries and give their expert input to the designs. We look forward to having more pieces commissioned by them in the future.

My experience with Ingle and Rhode surpassed my (already high) expectations in every way possible. From the initial consultation to the final product, coordinated by a friendly and professional team, what initially seemed a daunting exercise became one of the highest customer satisfaction.

Ingle and Rhode claim to have high ethical standards for materials used in their jewellery, but beware – they have no ethics when it comes to customer service! If you contract these condescending cowboys to make your ring then you may be left without a ring on your special day.
Ingle and Rhode left my wife and I without the ring of our dreams just 2 weeks before our wedding – at least five months from when they started the design.
In the beginning David and Tim presented a very professional and polished act, and promised many times that they wouldn’t stop working on our ring until we were completely happy. As the wedding date approached, David’s attitude towards us became more and more arrogant and careless. The ring was 95% finished, but not complete to the standard that was promised.
When we were presented with the “finished” ring for the first time, it was obvious that it had been rushed to be finished and looked like the fine details were done by an apprentice. David made no reference to any flaws and left it to us to point them out. He then made us feel picky and anal for wanting the ring to look like the initial design we were promised.
At three separate meetings we asked for these points to be fixed, and each time David assured us that they would continue working on it until we were happy. But each time the mistakes were not fixed, and David became more and more obviously annoyed with us. We asked him to remake the ring, but he said that because the ring was hand finished (of course - any quality ring is hand finished) that he was not willing to do that because he said we would end up picking on “tiny idiosyncrasies again”.
In the end we were able to get a refund because Ingle and Rhode had not delivered what they were contracted to make. I highly recommend any prospective customer of Ingle and Rhode to steer well clear of these slickly presented shonky salesmen, and pay a little more to have a professional and truly ethical jeweller create your special ring.

I approached Ingle & Rhode earlier this year to design a bespoke engagement ring for my now finacee. I had a general idea of what i was looking for in terms of diamond cut but that was about the extent to my knowledge and understanding of diamond rings at that point.
Throughout the whole process from initial contact, diamond selection and appraisal, through the design iterations and right down to delivery of the final product I&R were always professional, very informative and provided a service that felt personal leaving me with a feeling that they were as excited about the whole process as I was. This is in stark contrast to the feeling I was left with by a few other jewelers I had contacted.
The service received and the stunning final product coupled with the fact that I&R only use ethically sourced stones, are the main reasons why I would have no hesitation in recommending I&R to anyone thinking about looking for a jeweler that gives that personal touch, something that is all to often missing from other jewelers. After all, getting engaged is an important life decision and not just an opportunity for a retailer to make a few quid.

Buying fine jewellery from an ethical source was important to us so we approached Ingle & Rhode with an enquiry about an engagement ring and wedding bands. I was considering Ingle & Rhode in comparison with a supplier based in America. I asked many questions about the source of the diamond and metals as well as the design and service. Throughout the process I was consistently impressed with the knowledge, professionalism and responsiveness of Tim and his team. It wasn’t long before I was swayed and so I chose Ingle & Rhode to supply our rings. The engagement ring is a bespoke design, well worth paying the extra in my opinion to have something different, personal and unique. We collected our bespoke engagement ring a couple of days ago: the whole process has been amazing and we are absolutely delighted with the end result!
We approached Ingle & Rhode because we wanted as ethical a ring as we could. They were able to answer all our questions about sourcing of their diamonds and precious metals. We were very impressed. We also had some complicated design ideas and so they took the time to talk us through their bespoke service.Our concerns that the cost of this service would be prohibitive was unfounded; they worked to our budget with ease and at no stage did we feel we were being 'sold to' as we had in other jewellers.
The whole team at Ingle and Rhode have been endlessly patient as they took all of our ideas and created our design and had no problem in us taking our time to tweak it until we were happy with it. The whole process did take a bit longer than normal but we were kept informed of what was happening and knew it was due to our detailed design. We were nervous on collecting our ring that the finished product would be what we imagined; we needn't have worried - it is far and above what we thought and we love it - it is our perfect ring!
We cannot recommend Ingle and Rhode highly enough.

My fiance and I were extremely impressed with the service we received at Ingle & Rhode. Whilst designing my engagement ring, my fiance was hoping to insert a small stone taken from where we first met into the band, and the staff were so accommodating and helpful to realise this request. Furthermore, after his proposal, I went in to discuss how we could slightly tweak the design of the ring. Although we changed our minds about the design and the size of the band a number of times, the staff were always incredibly patient and eager to help. We were both so pleased to have ethically sourced diamonds in my ring, and would love to return one day to design and purchase some more jewellery.

I gave my girlfriend her new ring a couple of weeks ago now, and she utterly loved it. The design was exactly what she wanted, the fit was perfect, and the she really appreciated the ethical sourcing policies that Ingle & Rhode have in place.
The service from Ingle & Rhode was second to none. From the first appointment to picking up the finished product I always felt like Tim, David and Georgie cared about the ring and my experience, and they were always happy to chat to me at my level.
When there were delays (for reasons beyond their control) I received a phone call to explain the situation, was given a revised timetable, and had the opportunity to discuss any concerns, which was much appreciated.

Fantastic experience all around. Ingle & Rhode designed a custom engagement ring for me based on my requests, and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. The ring is gorgeous (my fiancé's family were talking about it for weeks afterward), and Tim was amazing to work with. The ring was shipped from London to the US, and even when there was a slight snafu with customs, Tim was immediately available (rather late, after hours) to assist and help with any information he could provide. Incredibly satisfied, and we'll be returning for our wedding rings as well.

I knew what sort of ring I was after - a trilogy ring with a brilliant cut sapphire and a pear shaped sapphire on either side - and while Googling I stumbled across a near-perfect ring in my price range at Ingle & Rhode. I arranged an appointment - I&R were very flexible and accommodating - and spoke to David Rhode.
David was extremely friendly, helpful and took a real interest in my situation. He also realised I pretty much knew what I was after and wasted no time in ordering a selection of gemstones at different price points within my range, which arrived around a week later for me to view. The advice I was given was refreshingly honest; David counselled me not to overspend on a diamond that was technically "more perfect" but looked to all intents and purposes the same as a much cheaper stone. Much appreciated advice when trying to stick to a budget.
I picked the stone and the wheels were immediately set in motion, and around 8 weeks later the perfect engagement ring arrived! The whole process was as smooth and easy as I could have hoped for, and I&R were pleasant and professional throughout. Genuinely very impressed, and I would definitely use I&R for other jewellery in the future.

Ladies and gentlemen of the internet if you're lucky enough to be getting engaged and currently ring shopping or simply looking for a knowledgeable, honest and ethical jewellers then I sincerely recommend contacting Ingle & Rhode for a consultation.
Buying an engagement ring can be a daunting process itself so designing one from scratch at first seemed like it would be quite the headache, however I am so thankful to Tim, David, Hayley and Emma in making the whole experience painless and actually quite enjoyable. I never felt like I was being up sold or pressured into making a quick decision or altering my design ideas, if something was not possible they simply told me so and provided alternative solutions to still get the ring I had in mind created.
Every time I had visited the showroom it was clear they were very busy with many clients arranging ring designs or collecting finished pieces, however whenever I was dealing with someone via email, telephone or in person they always made me feel like I was the priority.
I could not be happier with my entire experience and look forward to working with the team again in the near future to design the wedding bands.

First of all I would like to thank David, Tim and their team for the quality of service they provide. Aside from the proposal itself I wanted to surprise my wife with an engagement ring that was unique, ethical and great quality. It was also important for me to get some good advise and a fair price.
I visited several shops, reviewed loads of websites but couldn't find what I was looking for until a friend mentioned Ingle & Rhode, an ethical jeweller she had seen advertised on TV.
After a short phone call, a visit to their office I didn't look any further. They also turned around my requirements with the diamond I chose on a temporary band to propose with very quickly indeed.
My now wife was and is still thrilled. She designed the band herself and we were so pleased we ordered our wedding bands with them too.
My only issue is that she has recently mentioned that she would like an Ingle & Rhode Eternity Ring for our 1st Year Wedding Anniversary which I haven't yet started to save for.
I would say that for anyone who has similar requirements to me, save some time searching around and start here.
