What a ripoff. Absolutely not worth spending your money here. We paid £30 for two teas and two “goat cheese” tartines with about 10g of cheese on both in total. The place is horribly noisy and not particularly nice.

Always good - but quite pricey. Had a very nice corn chowder with wonderful gluten free bread.

OK for a quick bite to eat. Prices reflect the location.

Doesn't deserve its name ... There are plenty of better places in London for pastries/bread or brunch/lunch.

Great go to please for quick vegan lunch or dinner, if there are no other vegan cafes around, leg pain quotidien will never disappoint.

A good location and pretty interior, convenient for a late night hot drink and pastry when you just don't fancy another beer or wine.

Best place for breakfast by Southbank (probably), really nice interior, friendly staff, I was asked three four time if everything was ok haha. Every now and then the place rubbles as a train goes over. London prices.

Mocha was cold and tasted just like warm milk. Asked them to remake it and still cold. Desserts look lovely but are not well made at all.

Such a better breakfast place than lunch. Breakfasts have all the kinds of bakery combinations with jams and such, and that's their forte as they produce everything themselves and everything is really top class amd original. I tried almost the entire offering and I have to yet find something disappointing. From the breads to the cakes, passing through their own white chocolate spread, there's more then enough to get ecstatic. But when the clock strikes 12, we are left with the umpteenth healthy artisanal menu available in London and the biggest "meh" you can think of. So... if you are around for breakfast, it's one of the best places to go. Rest of the day: upper average. I should add that the staff are a bet. Sometimes are nice, sometimes rude and annoyed. That's common in high street chains, but worth noting here as well.

Terrible, didn't have what we wanted on the menu, hasn't been available for months - why is it on the menu?? Didn't have teas we wanted (would have been useful for us to know before we sat down what was available and what was not so as not to get hopes up and to be upfront and not defensive about what you have) rude servers - when we did eventually find something on the menu that was in stock this was good however completely ruined by the rudeness of staff and general service

Very busy but imaginative bistro/café right on South Bank . Great French style "healthy "dishes /open sandwiches ,etc.. Not cheap but still good value given its very visitor friendly location-right beside Festival Hall/Queen Elizabeth Hall/NOT.

French casual restaurant with seating downstairs and on its terrace. Cosy place and decent service, middle of the road pleasant.

Nice and relaxed place here!!! Cool beverage and marvelous air-condition inside restaurant! It saves me from hot summer near London Eye.

The place admitedly has a certain ambience (if you can tolerate the continual noise from the rail cars constantly passing overhead) but that is where its good points end. Ordered a belgian waffle here and received a ridiculous piece of nonsense barely bigger than a good sized postage stamp. For this they attempted to charge me £5. A service charge was added to the bill, most of which goes to management rather than staff. Such hidden charges are an abomination and entirely inappropriate in britain. The coffee, however, was adequate and reasonably priced.

Terrible service from staff too busy talking. Despite my parents being elderly & disabled they had to get up or shout several times to get staff to take their order, or deliver their food when ordered. When enquiring about their drinks they'd ordered which weren't served, the staff said they'd forgot they wanted the drinks. My parents then had to demand the drinks were taken off the bill at the end as they were charged for the drinks they didn't even receive. Even though the food was tasty, it was in tiny amounts & very expensive for what was received . My parents were so upset by their experience I was moved to write this review on their behalf. This terrible service spoiled their holiday while visiting me here in London.

I've been to better locations of this normally great restaurant (Wimbledon Village, Hampstead erc) but on Saturdays you'd have more luck waiting for a beer in the proverbial brewery than getting a table in an organised queue here. The waiters are kind, which makes up for it a bit.

Worst cappuccino on the planet. Service terrible. Told woman at the register there wasn't any sugar about and was told with a wave to grab it from any table somewhere. Gee, thanks. Ordered cappuccino and had to take it back (more minutes of my life lost) and the second was worse than the first. Resembled petrol blended with a bit of milk. Avoid completely.

Appalling service. Was seating for 20 minutes before giving up and leaving. Ruined plans for the morning. Very sour and moody staff. Never bothering with this place again.

Avoid this place! Bland overpriced food with non existent waiter's. Really didn't want to pay for the huge bill that arrived when we couldn't eat our food due to it being tastless and overcooked! The deserts looked lovely but again had no flavour to them, we were very disappointed.12% service charge added onto the bill too, which makes you feel pressured to pay it! Never again!!

Sad to say, I went here for a coffee and cake with my 34 year old son last Sunday and found the black Americano coffee so weak I could almost see the bottom of the cup: this after specifying that I would like 25% less water in the cup so that I could get a stronger tasting coffee. The replacement cup was better but even then not what I would have expected. I have not had this issue on previous visits (about 4 all told).

Nice food, but a bit overpriced for the small portions. Very slow service at busy times, and the staff seem very rushed. The coffee tends to be a bit weak. Ordering a large cappuccino gives you a big bowl of hot semi-skimmed milk with a little coffee in it. The pastries are nice however.

You know what you get in Le Pain! But I still think it's a little overpriced for the actual food itself some of which isn't always the tastiest

Lukewarm tasteless espresso. The mocha was essentially just warm milk. And to top it all off, the waffle was the doughiest I've ever tried. Avoid at all costs.

Smells like a plumbing problem, its the only restaurant I go to and have to sit far away from the toilet and it still stinks. Waitress added service charge on without asking if i wanted to pay for it. Pretending like I didn't notice but i did, just couldn't be bothered as I was going to pay it anyway. just do not appreciate it being foisted upon me.
