A frequent customer of le pain quotidien, this one is huge but few staff meant difficult to get attention of waiter. That being said, it was nice being able to spread out a bit. Good veggie and vegan selection

Been here a few times, consistently good, massive portion of soup and a delicious tartine

Excellent pastries, but the coffee was lukewarm and disappointing. Expensive for what it is, but I guess that’s typical of this kind of establishment in this location.

Great place to sit (with ample seats) in the lower ground floor, however, the service was too slow!!!

everything good but the blonde guy, I hope he's on a Trial period but if he works there you guys have a problem, we waited something like 20 minutes while he was chatting about everything except taking the order at the table next to ours. and was very rude on arrival asking if we could sit there, since at the entrance there is a sign that says to wait for a waiter.

Fantastic little cafe selling freshly baked pastries and lots of organic foods. Our cups of tea were served in little bowls which i thought was great. Really regret not trying the organic artisan bread they serve here but will next time. Staff very friendly and great atmostphere. The only thing is 12% is automatically added to the bill as a tip but this will not stop me from returning.

A pretty place for a coffee or light lunch, plenty of seating and efficient staff

Honestly, just bland lacklustre food in a massive tourist trap area. Should have spent a little more effort on the breakfasts we got; there’s no excuse for poor food service.

I like this chain restaurants as they do good quality of food and breads. Their gluten free breads are one of the best that I have tasted. This one that I visited has nice view and well presented just like the others. The only downside is that they did not have the nice jams and spreads on our table.

We were looking for a "light" dinner, and almost accidentally found this bakery that served an amazing (and cheap) "organic soup of the day". Then we visited again the next day for breakfast, the "pain au chocolat" is massive and with delicious chunks of chocolate!

I went for an early breakfast meeting. Good service and choice of food. We got to stay and have our meeting at the table, too. And of course, lovely location.

Beautiful place with very helpful staff. It was really busy outside but they made space for my husband and I to enjoy the great outdoors. We had the open sandwiches called tartines! Loved the wholesome tasty food. Great job guys.

Went with my mother to the Waterloo/Southbank restaurant. Had a quick, pre-theatre bite. Ordered the vegan spicy cauliflower and squash and grain stew. The staff were attentive and friendly, really helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes. Good seating available at about 6pm on Wednesday. Will definitely come again when in the area. X

I had a Croque Monsieur here at around 1pm but it really wasn’t great for the slightly ridiculous £12.50 and was more of a cheese and ham toastie... The menu appears to have changed since we last came and now seems more limited and more expensive! The service really wasn’t good either - slow and not much care shown towards us. I think this place is turning into more of a tourist establishment due to its location (considering the new prices) which is a shame. It does however still retain its nice rustic atmosphere, good location and a great bakery selection as well as authentic hot chocolate! Overall disappointing this time though compared to our previous experiences here.

I love this place. Great location. Use it for private meetings, especially breakfast meetings. Good porridge with honey and banana. Perhaps 5 stars but always reluctant to give them. Ok. Perhaps I will. Have done. Well done.

Group lunch, we all had open sandwiches which were tasty and fresh. Really fancied French fries to accompany these but none available so we had roast new potatoes instead. Also no regular soft drinks such as Coke. The raspberry lemonade was very tasty though. Prompt service, good tasty food in a central location

Nice place, nice food, helpful and friendly staff even when busy. Would have given 5 stars but thought many items on the menu were a bit expensive.

Not great. Suitability of management needs to be reviewed. Staff look neither energised nor motivated. As a result, slow service and mediocre food.

The place is not good by all means: the staff is negligent and sloppy, food is average (but coffee is just bad), 12.5% gratuity is included, 2 restrooms for over 200 seats. I wouldn’t go there if you have a choice

The food is bland and overpriced. The staff is unfriendly. The toilets have no soap, even after telling the unfriendly staff about it 4 times.

What a horrible experience we had tonight at Le Pain Waterloo, from entering the restaurant until we left. I am not going there again, never. We entered and waited to be seated, we were left there waiting until we had to ask for a table, the waiter did not even smile or welcomed us. Then we were left there waiting for more than 15 minutes to make the order, we had to grab the atencion of a waiter to make the order as not one noticed us. We ordered a dish and asked for it without cheese, it came with cheese. The waiter pour my food on my lap, yea on my lap, and the food was barely warm. The room was super cold, we told the waiter and he just said "that is the room temperature" and left. The cofes got cold really quickly we didn't enjoyed them. We waited and waited for a waiter to get the bill, we couldn't wait any longer we were so cold we went to the till by the entrance and had to get the atencion of a waiter to pay, we could have left without paying they would not have noticed, it was really bad. None of the waiters/waitresses look happy or smile once, a terrible athsmofere. The toilets felt a lot warmer but they were dirty. What a pity Le Pain service has gone down the hill like that. I will probably get a cold from being there. My friend came from Ireland to visit and I took her there to eat, embarrassing.

Absoulte disguising customer service, we arrived asking if you would have some food and drinks outside and they said that would fine. After 5 mins a member of their staff storms over telling us we cant sit here as its for food not drinks and processed to be very rude to my mother. I worked in customer services 8 years and i havent seen such rude service. She even started talking about my party, saying very rude comments to other colleagues while i was calming my mother down. The staff there need to learn to treat customers with more professionalism, never visiting again

Customer service is great, location is great, menu is great. Downstairs setting is a large hall with seats and nice decor, however, there is an overpowering and pungent smell of cleaning products used for bathrooms. It honestly burns the nose and when you really want to have a coffee and food and enjoy le pain quotidien, its really hard to do it if you're not sitting upstairs. Literally stinks, DO NOT SIT DOWNSTIARS. or risk smelling number 2s and lot of exotic tropical deodoriser.

Delightful French cafe serving delicious light meals and the my favourite of all coffees I've had whilst out and about. A small chain of cafes which are always my first choice if available. This one has a lovely basement built in the railway arches, fully accessible on my mobility scooter.

I'm generally a big fan of the food in LPQ and this branch is no exception. The food is good with decent gluten free and vegan options. But the service is always very slow and it is always hard work to get anyone's attention. It always feels understaffed - e.g. by the time they finally bought a pot of tea it was stewed and luke warm but it was too difficult to get anyone's attention to do anything about it.

Food is fine, but for these prices you expect decent service. My daughter's cup was cracked and they forgot elements of our order twice.

Good place for a light lunch or coffee at a convenient location. Our salad was fresh, crunchy and full of flavour. The soup was good as well. The scrambled eggs were cold, however, and too fried. It can get noisy on weekends (lots of visitors to the London eye and other local attractions).
