I was shocked by how good their film scanning is! The colours are so on point and there are little to no scratches. Will be my regular film developing place :)

Wow! I just received my first roll back from Aperture Printing! Highly recommend their services. Really professional and helpful with such a quick turn around - in just 24 hours after dropping my roll off. Service was great. Covid measures in place with no entry to the store only open for drop off & pick up. Still selling film etc.

I go to "Aperture" every time I need anything related to my cameras. It can be for repairs as for developing my pictures. I feel I can trust them 100%. Really high quality print... since when I discovered them, I don't go in any other place!!! It's a pleasant and trusted routine now...Recommended!

I have used Aperture Printing many times and I have found the quality of their prints second to none. I make the 40 min trip by train each time as I won't settle for anything else, their products are simply the best, in terms of quality, around. On top of this, their customer service is impeccable and Richard is always a joy to talk to, and his personal touch makes all the difference . If you need high quality film developing with a welcoming and friendly service then this is the place for you.

Richard is amazing he showed me how to use my Hassy that has been in my 1920s Oshkosh trunk for years preserved like a relic. Richard your wisdom is amazing. Thank you so much for your help today, it was truly a pleasure.

The wealth of photogtaphic knowledge in this little shop is unsurpassed. Every Londoner with even a small bit of photographic sensitivity in him should visit this place and have a feel for the technical history and development of this art form. From old to new, the advice is spot on. You can even develop your films old fashion way or check if your faulty but beloved lens is worth keeping. Proud to have this establishment in my town.

Eye candy. Cameras lenses and lots of them. Was looking for a decent prime lens, but couldn't see anything and staff didn't even acknowledge my presence. Probably a photographers shop for known clientele. I'm confident if I could of been bothered to say hi, they might of said hi back. Still you just visit.

lovely staff and high quality processing - love the adaptation in sending customers files through wetransfer now to minimise risk of contact. only downside is that sometimes scans are rushed through but generally Aperture is always the lab I trust and return to get my film processed.

I have used the service numerous times and results are always good. From 800 color to fine b&w negatives the results in the high DPI scans are fantastic. Clear and detailed, matching the sharpness of many digital cameras currently used. Staff are friendly and give accurate time scales when it will be ready. Because of great places like this film still continues to be used!

I developed and scanned one film in Aperture around a year ago and was very happy with the service. That’s why I came back in December last year to develop five more films. I collected them and just when I was about to scan them myself at home I realised that they are all awfully dirty. And I’m not talking just about the dust, which would be a normal thing; there were plenty of finger prints and sticky spots of various sizes. They were all very hard to remove and I’ve spent ages trying to clean them. I’m very disappointed, especially knowing how much I’ve paid for such a poor standard of service. I won’t be going to Aperture again and I don’t recommend it.

One of those gems of London that you want to keep visiting and protect! Great film developing to digital media with prices and options according to needs - excellent costumer service by experts and Huge range and stock. IMPORTANT: The shop has split film developing and cameras ( both digital and analog) across two stores very close to each other - the shop at this location is for film purchasing and developing - the other shop is less than 5 minutes away and the team there very happily help you get there. Also note they are official Leica suppliers.

Bought a second hand lens for decent price. Lens heavily decentred and unusable- should never have been approved for sale. Returned with no fuss after explaining the lens was not fit for purpose only to find it back on their website within hours of returning it. Would probably not trust them with future purposes

Just popped to the Aperture Leica store on Riding House Street because I needed a quick repair on my M6. The technician was extremely helpful and super friendly, He stopped what he was doing to have a look at my camera and he was able to fix it there and then in about 20 minutes all for free! I offered some money for his time but he was very happy that he was able to fix it for me and told me to come back soon. Top man and very good at his job, Thanks so much!

Zipped in this afternoon for a couple of rolls of film - they had exactly what I needed, and the prices were pretty reasonable (cheaper than some places I've seen online), they dealt with me quickly and attentively. Particularly given that we've lost Calumet, I'd definitely come back.

Only visited once so far (but will be returning) to have them look at an issue with my lens. It turned out to be a quick fix which they did then and there and didn't charge. They have a nice selection of used gear. Given the initial service I got I will be returning.

Decided to try aperture since Lomography closed. Dropped off some C-41 for negatives only, no prints, uncut and everything came back to me as expected. Everything looked good. Hadn't realised they would provide the rolled up negs in the same big envelope they give back prints and cut negs; was a bit chunky so keep that in mind and bring a smaller container to put your uncut negatives in if you need one. I shall try their black and white film developing service next :)

Came in for a diagnosis on my damaged Nikon d810 -- and was sent here by the very nice gentlemen at the other Aperture shop. To my dismay, the older man refused to give me any information about my camera, other than angrily scolding me because I "broke the camera." When I asked for advice on what to do, he literally threw his hands into the air and yelled "you broke it." It was so rude -- and as a photographer looking for help, I was hoping to talk to someone who could give me actual help and have a little empathy. I can't say I'd recommend this shop based on the alarmingly poor way they treated me.

Short review: Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. A fantastic shop. Longer version: Me and my boyfriend came here to inquire about repairing a 30 years old camera. When we came here, we had little hope that anything could be done. Unlike others, the shop does not charge you to make an assessment and give you a quote. The staff were all friendly and patient when explaining to us the work that was required. It was repaired quickly, and at a competitive market price. Additionally, they gave us a discount on a camera case as a gesture of good will. Overall highly recommend and would definitly use again.

I just got my first repair back from the shop and I'm very happy. I took in an old camera because I had light leaks on some of my pics - it was a cheap one I'd bought online so this was sort of expected. Aperture swiftly quoted £50 via email. Sadly, there were further problems when they inspected it - they quickly told me there was oil on the shutters; that it could be a 'sticky shutter' as I'd guessed previously. They justified it fully and showed me in person, re-quoted £100 and said it would be ready the following day. I was very happy when they showed me they'd re-lined the inside, had cleaned the shutter and blades, and had cleaned the viewfinder to a condition I never expected. They did a lovely job. Recommend.
