Snappy Snaps

Due to these troubling times, My local printing bureau is no more! ???? The quality of that establishment was second to none! What a shame! I hope he returns when things calm down... Jeez! When will that be, huh? Anyway... I have a tradition in that whenever I reach a certain level of achievement, I create a unique bandanna to mark the milestone! Yes, I'm a Graphic & Multimedia Designer and I take great pleasure in creating something unique and, hopefully, outstanding! In any event, nobody else will have this design! I had to find a replacement commercial printer... Friday, 11th of December 2020, I took a trip to Earls Court to what I think is a lackadaisical commercial printer... It was a waste of My Time. I reckon I got there early enough to get the bandanna printed the same day. Also, this substandard printer does not open on a Saturday! That's nuts! I had to think quickly and I decided to head for Soho, London. I figured that with Google Search and Map services, I would be able to find a decent printer! After a few phone calls, I stumbled upon Snappy Snaps! Snappy Snaps was easy to find and I was able to get the job done, but not without issues... ISSUES The issues were mainly on My part... The files, for some reason, looked awful... It's weird, they looked perfect on My PC! So, I downloaded a file from My Facebook profile and sent it via email, "Is the resolution okay?" I asked. "I just checked it and it's okay," said the assistant in the photos. I had hoped to have the bandanna printed the same evening - it was doable! However, a same day print adds around £5 to the cost of the job (£18). Fortunately, Snappy Snaps is open on Saturdays! By the time I got home, I received an email to say that the graphic looked pixilated. Yeah, well... It can happen... My hunch was right. After a bit of struggle, Snappy Snaps were able to access My Dropbox and select the best render of the graphic. From there, I was able to pick up the bandanna the next day, 12 December 2020. I think it closes at 18:00, which gave Me plenty of Time to get there without too much stress! Yeah, for some reason there was a traffic incident that created a diversion... Luckily, I was able to avoid getting stuck in a long jam! It just so happened that I was invited to take part in a photoshoot the next day! I felt in My Element wearing My unique bandanna design. Cool! VERDICT Although I experienced minor issues, I would use Snappy Snaps again. The issues were quickly resolved and I was not charged extra as some unscrupulous commercial print establishments. The quality of the print is questionable as the print got damaged through what I consider to be reasonable wear. After a gentle handwash, the print was damaged further. Fortunately, I didn't and don't mind as I appreciate the battle-worn look. It's kinda like buying jeans with rips in 'em already. At the same time, I am of the opinion that £18 is a bit steep considering the lack of durability. That said, that kind of print is bound to cause durability issues due to nature of the bandanna. Perhaps, I would have been better off with a screen print... Then again, My former local printer produced a more durable print. I would say that Snappy Snaps is pretty good. If I can't get the next print job done in the same way as My former printer, I'll go back to Snappy Snaps. In the meantime, I'm still on the lookout for the best possible result at a more reasonable price! Yes! I would recommend Snappy Snaps if You wanted to create personalized prints such as the standards: mugs, t-shirts, posters, cushion covers, etc. I hope You enjoyed this review and that it helped You to make a decision. The staff on duty here were not at all knowledgeable regarding t-shirt printing or photo frames. They said "the guy who can print comes only Mondays now. Please come back Monday." They also were not too happy that I had brought my own t-shirt for printing and got dismissive quite from the get go because of this. Why would I want to print on a regular size shirt when I can print on a female correct size shirt. It's a shame because I had a really positive experience a few months back in another Snappy Snaps shop.

Really did everything they could to get me a special order quickly. The results were excellent.

Super nice and helpful service, you can print even just one page for 70p (Rymans across is 2.20), and they have me extra helpful stuff

Pre ordered photos online picked them up the following day, asked for some more pictures from the images I uploaded in different sizes, and only took them another 10 minutes. Very good service.

Busy photo shop but very efficient staff meant place ran brilliantly. They were kind and fun too. Excellent at helping with tricky passport photo and quality of other services there very high. Thoroughly recommend.

Just wanted to print a single photo using their self-service machine which usually costs £1.2, but because the photo was for a US visa they made me to pay £19.99 as they have separate price for it in their price list. The photo was already prepared and correctly sized, so they had nothing to do, just click the print button, and still they took the full price... It’s a real fraud.

Very basic photo printing place, they offer fast service when ordering from online where they have a reasonable web tool to upload the photos. The base format is priced well but the more unconventional ones are way more expensive. Don't expect too much compassion/advice from the staff, pay and leave! ????

I was served by Michal and that guy really put himself out to make my photo project look great. A tad pricy but excellent service!

The worst service/rates from all the Snappy Snaps I already been. They asked an extra £5 to send the scans by WeTransfer (what does it really cost?) while their overall rates are already way more expensive than other Snappy Snaps in the city. The scans eventually arrived in low resolution while I always get an high-resolution with other Snappy Snaps. Avoid this place.

Very helpful staff and really good quality prints.

I have been using Snappy Snaps in Soho for well over a decade now, developing countless 35mm & 120mm films over the years. I originally used Metro nearby but found Snappy Snaps quality far better and appreciated the welcome I always received. I cannot recommend this lab highly enough and look forward to many more years of their expert developing, scanning & printing. Although I have now moved out of London I travel many miles to drop off my films in Soho. Thanks to Magda, Michal and the other members of staff for their hard work and genuine passion for photography.

Very inefficient and unlike any other snappy snaps I have been too. The staff member Ricardo, was exceptionally rude and unprofessional making rude comments and muttering under his breath the whole time about every customer who walked in. He clearly looked like he couldn't handle the work and there was no help from his colleagues. He was flustered and confused.

Great experience. Special thanks to Tina who went above and beyond to help me get the right print and even enhanced the image on Photoshop and cut the image to size for me. Fantastic and fast customer service. I'll be back! Cheers.

I will travel across town just to get my photos printed by Michal at Snappy Snaps. He is knowledgeable, informative and very good at his job. He has printed and framed many photos for me and I constantly get compliments on them. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Friendly staff, quick service, but the passport photo that they took for my baby was not accepted for UK passport because of reflection.

Staff rude as hell. 50/50 chance of getting a normal customer experience or be treated like an enemy. If you have the time, better go to another branch.

Not as good as my local one in Beckenham, but for West End reasonable prices and good if slow service.

Staff always helpful and happy. Self service photo print machines better than Boots ones as they enable Bluetoothing individual photos over rather than uploading your whole album!

Best snappy snaps around, they have a proper C41 printer there, and use the best photographic paper

Two machines weren't working, so had to upload and pick 140 twice.The machines are pretty slow, so this took a couple of hours. After initially wanting to charge the cost of the quick printing service, I pointed out it wasn't particularly quick and they discount from £40 to £14 after the manager's intervention. In fairness they made a real effort to ensure the photos were printed and stayed open late.The junior staff was very helpful and sympathetic.

Terrible service. I never write this kind of comment but I was really angry. I brought a disposable camera i didn't know was hardly used. They had my phone number but did not tell me. They used the twenty pictures I had left on my camera to take bad blurred pics of the store, and then charged me for it.

Extremely satisfied with the service. Not only was given discount for my prints and film processing but also a very useful advice for printing my photographs. The staff was very friendly and always very helpful. I will definitely use their services in the future.

Dont know what people are complaining about when it comes to service attitude, i had a blast, and the films I developed came out better than i had hoped for. They even rush a job for me 40 mins before closing time. 100% would go there again if im in London.

I visited this shop in a Saturday morning a month ago. A female staff who took my ID photo was pretty rude. There were no customers apart from me but she was rushing, I was not even allowed to see a mirror. When I tried to check myself on the mirror, she stopped me. Cleary, she doesn't care about other person's Photo, does she? It's not her photo after all. I am not satisfied with the photo and it was a poor customer service.

I regularly come here to get my film developed. Not the best customer service and it's quite expensive but my shots always come out well and I've never had any issues with them being delayed or anything. They also sell film and other supplies but it's much cheaper elsewhere.

Most frustrating experience ever. I asked if I could get British passport and Canadian visa digital photos. She told me they were different and I'd need to pay £19.99. I asked to see difference and she muttered something about different colour background. So I paid for just Canadian visa one and figured I'd crop it myself since she said it was also a different size. I Googled it myself as I found it bizarre and found out they are the exact same specs. So asked again what's the difference why am. I paying £10 extra for this one. She said oh you didn't tell me it was Canadian visa, you said passport. I did not. Again she said oh but they are different backgrounds which I said that I found online it's totally the same. I said so can I have a refund and eventually got the £10 difference back. Either they have no idea what they are doing or were deliberately trying to over charge. Will not visit this shop again. Very unpleasant experience.

Very helpful staff, ready to answer all your questions. It is also quite cheap to print out your photos and you can do it through their self service machine.

I've had film processed and digital files printed and framed here. No complaints at all, the staff are helpful and friendly. Most jobs can be done within an hour if needed and 24 hours otherwise.

Experienced an awful service. Rude customer handling and law quality photos for expensive prices.

Asked to have a passport photo taken. The girl whipped out a camera and snapped a photo of me as I had to sit in front of the rest of the crowded shop (embarrassing). The photo was awful so I asked if it could be taken again. She huffed obviously annoyed as other people were waiting. I later called to see if photos were ready and told they were. I went to collect them and they werent. Customer service was rushed and not helpful. I would have given 1* but gave an extra star as the guy there let me do them again as the photos were so bad. Photos cost £10 for awful photos. I ended up going to a kiosk machine. Got three tries and perfect photos for only a fiver. I binned the ones from Snappy Snaps!

Swift! In and out in 2 mins

I had a few Matte prints done today, and they were absolutely unacceptable; they came out yellow! The staff tried to say it was the lighting but it wasn't. Another customer mentioned the same thing to them and they tried to tell both of us it was because we weren't under natural lighting. I had to ask for refund because I was so unhappy with the quality. I've used snappy snaps before but in reading so I know how the images are supposed to look as these were prints I have had done before. Reading snappy snaps is far superior, I'll say that for the brand. I ended up getting the images redone around the corner at Jessops, who are not only cheaper, but the photos were done faster and came out amazingly!

Friendly and helpful staff. I went on for passport photos, they took them on the spot and they were ready 10min later. They also make sure they comply with requirements. Prices are reasonable (£9 for four passport photos)
