Communication is extremely poor. Not certain if the office is understaff or it’s simply a poor habit but having to deal with this embassy is extremely stressful. Definitely had a poor experience and would avoid it at all cost to go through here again. I would advise giving yourself at least 1 month grace period to get issues resolved. Phone calls are never answered or you wait for over 1 hour; and emails take an excessive time to receive a response to. Sadly, I don’t see any improvement in the near future here with this embassy as it now also appears they work from home and you’ll experience extreme delays. Try an alternative if there is an emergency!

Very friendly staff at the counter, very efficient with their same day legalisation service. Strict rules in regards to commercial documents so please make sure you check your documentation before submitting. Best time to collect is between 3pm - 4pm to save waiting. Not a convenient location as its a long walk from South Kensington.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and have been refused to bring in my injections on my upcoming holiday after jumping through hoops with their questions and sending pictures and evidence of a worldwide approved medication Avonex and they decline even though it is not on their banned substances list. You can't speak to anyone to discuss and they appear to have the right to refuse any medication they do not understand and cause us to cancel our entire holiday there.

The embassy has been closed for months but they should be working from home! unfortunately no reply to any of the emails. I lived in the UAE for many years and the government societies do their best to serve their customers and give the best quality. The UAE embassy in London is totally something different!

I called to find out how I go about preparing power of attorney. The man who answered said this: "we are NOT customer service, you should not call us, all the information is on the website" he was rude and obnoxious, I just could not believe it.

I called the UAE consulate based at princes garden, South Kensington today around 1:30pm and explained my situation of needing myself and my husbands documents attesting quite urgently. We received same day service, picked up my documents at 3pm, they were empathetic towards our situation. Cannot fault the service provided. Thank you very much

As per most of the other reviews, terrible service. I was trying to find out if I required a Drs letter to take prescription medication to Dubai I was held waiting for 47 min while being told every 30 seconds that the wait time was 1 min before hanging up. I sent an email and got an automated reply saying that due to a high volume of emails there may be a delay in their reply and pointing me to their web site.

Travelled down to validate documents, the earliest I could get here was midday. Annoyed voice on the bell told me to go to another address to get another address to go there tomorrow. Why say the embassy closes at 4pm if it closes at 12?

If I could give 0 stars for their telephone service I really would. I called to speak to the visa department today (21/3/19) and the man that answered the phone was so abrupt and extremely unhelpful!! He basically told me his job involved him telling people yes or no as to whether they needed a visa and he was not there to provide any further information (ridiculous!!) I asked for advice as to where I can get information and he told me to ask my airline not him. He also kept talking over me and wouldn't allow me to talk. I waited for 10 minutes for my call to be answered to just be told that my partner needed a visa to travel (when I already knew this). I simply required further information as to what documents he would need to provide etc! Honestly one of the worst telephone services I have received.

Unspeakably rude over the telephone. As another commenter said, if I could give 0 stars I would, although that would still be too many. Website unclear on medications allowed into the UAE, and staff on the phone told me I hadn't bothered to read the website, and that I should just follow procedure.

i was on the phone for bearly 2 hours, upon the guy picking up, he couldnt answer my question, despite it being about visa, the only thing he kept repeating is look at the website and if you dont understand send a email. dont bother wasting your time calling, your questions wont be answered.

Very bad and unhelpful receptionist in waiting area, staff are lazy and unprofessional, they were reading paper while people waiting to get there documents. I was told to collect the ducment after tow o'clock it is three o'clock and nothing happens,aIso I was told the deplomat is not in yet to sign the documents this is to confirm that they are still backward., When you come expect to waist your whole day to have your document certified. I have to blame the big boss who offering this treatment

in Feb 2016 I got my niece document legalised by The UAE Consular section. The consular section staff was very friendly. Make sure if you submitted Educational documents you follow all the correct procedure. In June 2019 Once again I returned to the UAE Embassy legalisation section last week to get my nephew's university degree Attestation. Just remember before you come to the UAE Embassy make sure all the paper work is in order. The UAE Embassy web site provides all the information. The staff was very professional, i am pleased with the service.

Exceptionally poor customer service. I was talked down to on the phone for about 30 minutes and reminded that I am talking to a senior member of the team whom had worked at the embassy for over 20 years. These people desperately need training on how to speak to others, nevermind customers.

Terrible customer service. I have a cruise coming up to UAE and was told to contact the embassy with regards to prescription medication. Got absolutely no advice whatsoever from the embassy other than look on the website. I'm on lots of strong meds and need to know what's allowed. Cannot even get on their website. ????

I am disgusted with UAE embassy department in London. I have tried for two weeks now to get through to their Legal Department, hanging on for 2 and half hours daily, the message being repeated is "You are number one in the queue, estimated time to answer is one minute", that is a joke, nobody every answers, what is the problem,????? Is there any staff there at all??. I would like to have asked questions about taking medication into Abu Dhabi as I know there are very strict laws about what you can carry and I do not want my holiday to be spoilt by falling foul of their rules and regulations, but what can you do when you cannot speak to anybody, talk about frustration at the highest level.

Last month, during Ramadan reduced hours, I called and spoke to someone straight away - very helpful and quick service. This week, I have been trying to speak to someone on the phone for FOUR days, no answer on any of the extensions, either Arabic or English. Day 1, only reception finally picked up to tell me the Query Dept works till 4pm. Day 2, no answering, again reception picked up to tell me Query Dept works till 4pm but answers calls till 12:30 (!!!). Day 3 noone picks up ever. Day 4 reception picks up, diverts to security (!!!), who divert me back to original telepnohe numbers (!!!). This 'hit-or-miss' service (mostly 'miss') is an embarassment to UAE.... Judging from the other reviews, i'm not sure how it's been allowed to go on for so long...

When ever i try to call this place regadless of the time morning.. afternoon or before they close no one answers the phone.. absolutely disgracful.. how can you not answer the phone.. i don't mind waiting but 20 minutes at a time the line keeps ringing no one answers.. Disgraceful customer service.. disgusting to say the least..

Unbelievable shameful poor customer service - first could not get through to the relevant department. When I finally did a very ill spoken arab woman became instantly frustrated with my inquiry - raised her voice, did not let me speak and shouted 'I don't know!!!' and hung up on me. When I rang back, my call was not answered. I have heard about their attitude but am in utter shock after experiencing it first hand. Doing a disgraceful job of representing the UAE in the UK.

I telephoned very recently the Legal Dept and found them very rude and abrubt, highly innapropriate for an Embassy. It was further shocking how porr their level of English is, surely you should be able to speak basic English in an Embassy based in the UK.

The man on the phone repeatedly said "thank you bye" when I was halfway through asking a question. He then hung up before I had finished. The worst customer service I have ever experienced which gives a bad impression of the UAE.
