Nobody is responding to the phone calls, no email replies. No customer service..
You have to wait in queue in the burning sun or the rain for hours to get inside the building. No online appointments system.
That's one of the worst places on earth.

I love Egypt. I am going again in October and again in March 2020. So I thought I would buy a multi-visit visa this time. The visa costs more than double a single use visa but at no point did it emphasise that my expensive multi-use visa would only be valid 6 months from date of issue and, quite naturally, it runs out days before i leave for my next holiday! How many tourists visit more than once in a 6 month period????

You wonder why the Egyptian are so backwards! The embassy and their visa process says it all. Last time in Egypt for me. Everyone in my family besides two people have had their visas issued online and their customer services is absolutely useless constantly replying with automated emails. After seven days of creating the application, they cancel it and you have to start again and pay again. If you make a mistake in any details then they cancel the application and you have to apply again. Why O Why can a country not get a visa system organised online. I have just lost £40 for no fault of mine as they won't tell me what is wrong with my application. Waste of time calling Embassy, on hold forever. Speechless!

The most arrogant, unhelpful group of people I have ever encountered. I called the embassy to double check whether it’s fine for me to come and apply for a visa at the consulate. The woman I spoke to said ‘yes, they are open until 4pm’. Paid £60 for a ticket to London to sort out visa only for them to tell me no one is here to help, and the printing machine only works between 9-12:30 (didn’t know machines had a mind of their own). The man (bald, working at the visa reception) began to be extremely aggressive and literally started SHOUTING at me and insisted that I was pretty much lying about the phone call I made. I tried everything I could to communicate with him in a reasonable manner. He refused to talk to me. A woman stepped in and began saying ‘you are in an Egyptian land and we can talk to you how we please’ and the bald headed man suddenly decides to start speaking to me again despite making his refusal very clear. I left in tears when other people began joining in. Horrific experience, horrific people and all deserve to be sacked. In fact, this whole embassy needs to be shut down.
