Fine for life cover. Staff very patient and knowledgeable. Great perks. Tech a bit clunky but works. Difficult to reconcile the negative reviews with my own experience.

Vitality have a great incentive program to encourage you and your family to get and stay healthy and active. I would encourage everybody to make that investment in their own body and health and you will be surprised how quickly you can progress up the points status with Vitality. The rewards are amazing and have recently had some positive changes. My family appreciate over £1,000 in discounts a year or benefits in some form or another. These consist of discounts on BA flights (my personal favorite) to my apple watch, amazon prime subscription and 25% discount on Mr and Smith hotels and 50% off my gym membership to name a few. The rewards really incentive's you to stay active as you can really appreciate the benefits. I tell all my friends about Vitality and there jaw normally drops when i tell them some of the benefits i get. :)

Great concept but my local gym and Starbucks don't participate. Also Starbucks rewards are always a day late so you only have 6 days to redeem them

Unfortunately I can't give them 0 stars. Worse company ever. been with them for 3 years. the rates have increased with 40%, although I am a young fit athlete, and I am ticking all the right boxes for a healthy person, and a platinum member (which means you have been exercising regularly 4-5 days a week). There are often issues with the service and the customer service is simply terrible.

Vitality feels like a company that is constantly trying its luck at how much they can get away with and they seem to surprise even themselves. Their perks are never what they appear to be ( Apple watch app never seems to work, Champney spa offers are not really available for full weekends , Health insurance has so many limitations you end up giving up, Cinema tickets are for restricted locations, etc). Basically, everything they offer has a small print designed for their own benefit. They associate themselves with lesser reputable partners Nuffield Health ( they failed to attend two of the three calls we scheduled), Alliance Healthcare (struggled to find a consultant for me to see during the week of my call, for a suspected fracture) that are incapable to deliver a quality service. Personally I am surprised no customer protection body has been looking into this and they are allowed to function on the health insurance market. Dreading having to use them; they also annoyingly always remind you you need to pay the year policy premium even after it's been paid.

My husband and I have enjoyed the vitality benefits and cover for over 2 years , luckily never had to claim but at least we are getting something back for our money . I mean the rewards and benefits for just walking and being healthy are excellent . We save money on cinema tickets , Apple Watch discounted trainers every year never had a problem with them . Definitely recommend

Basically just a marketing company, outsource the actual health insurance part. Horrific customer service and experience. Absolute shambles. Very good when it comes to partners and calling you to renew the policy, terrible when it comes to health insurance user experience

Very disappointing service. Our company moved from AXA to Vitality. Two weeks - they cannot send me policy number.

Misled and mis-sold by these people. From my experience they are great with getting you to do stuff with rewards, but a terrible service if you have to use the insurance. Don't get fooled and get proper health insurance.

Just reached the anniversary point of 1 year with Vitality and really enjoying the service provided. The starbucks is always appreciated and well used and the cinema tickets every now and again. Both my wife and I have policies and we even got our discounted trainers as well to help with the running we already did and had price trainers is always a bonus!! We managed to finish the year as Platinum members so even enjoyed a decent cash back return on our premium as well, and although the price has gone up for the coming year, its so minimal its not worth worrying about! The only issue I would 'moan' about is the same as some others in that the apple watch and app don't always update that quickly and sometimes I have had to send points queries in to get them validated but this has always been completed without an issue. Overall we like the insurance cover and it suits me, the Mrs & our daughter and the keep fit incentives definitely work well for us!

Really poor deal with apple watch, had to pay for watch then months later the points are finally added to my account.. FAR TOO LATE don't bother. Hell to get through on the phone.

Vitality would do anything not to pay for your claim they would diagnose you with a disease that they do not cover even if a specialist has a different opinion !!!

I will be cancelling my policy. The service provided is awful, especially when it comes to getting treatment for a non-existing condition. The rewards initiative is what you are paying for and is a cover up for not being able to claim for actual treatment.

Excellent work by Kieran, talked me through each step, recommended above and beyond what I initially enquired about but then took extra time to discuss exactly what I wanted and easily set up everything for me. Excellent service all round and a pleasure to deal with.

Great customer service, tons of rewards keep you motivated. Everything from cashback, cinema tickets and Starbucks - what's not to like! The web based app/member area is a bit clunky but they're pretty great at helping you navigate what you're looking for

What an awful company to deal with, miss sold a product, tried to get refund. They confused my private life insurance policy with my company one, emailed my bosses, embarrassing. I've got to say I personally wouldn't bother. Read the horror stories of this company not paying claims. Another load of phones calls to get this problem finally sorted to look forward to Monday morning. Oh yeah, expect to be exercising like an athlete training for the Olympics if you want the rewards. Targets are impossible for those who have busy working lifestyles.

So far so good in terms of our Vitality experience. Our advisor Chris Frank was really helpful in explaining the policies available and supporting myself and my partner to get a policy which met our needs within our budget. The activity incentive is also really positive although I am experiencing issues with my steps not being synchronised to the app or recorded, despite repeated “linking” and re-linking of devices. This is becoming a little frustrating so I would suggest that there may be some development work needed in this respect. Conversations with staff both during initial set-up and a subsequent enquiry call last week have both been very polite and respectful and not overly intrusive which is appreciated. Thank you.

A very good concept, encouraging you to be active. this is a good way to actually get something back from your life insurance premium. Free cinema tickets, Starbucks and iwatch and now amazon prime are all easily achievable. somethings I have sound useful is to use a fitness tacker to capture points through steps and I personally make sure I log any gym/spin class for an quick 8 points. Also a Lloyds health check can give you over 600 points.

Good service and product! Doesn’t cost too much plus if you keep fit you can easily reclaim this money back via the perks included in the packages.

Completely disappointed I opted for VitalityHealth. When it came to putting a claim through it was the most difficult thing to do. One of the assistants even asked me why I don’t go to NHS!! Waiting times to speak to an assistant can vary from 10-20 minutes I’m currently trying to close the policy. 12 minutes, still no response.

Joined Vitality last year - used them for the first time this year for the health of my 14 year old son and had nothing but a spiky reception, lots of hurdles to jump through, lots of waiting on the phone over an hour and that is just in the last week and now they tell me they cannot find a consultant for my son! beware and think twice

Complete waste of money. Avoid. Terrible service, app that literally never works, no idea if you are actually gathering points for the exercise and no way of finding it out. It's astonishing that a company can survive when it offers such poor service.

GOOD FORBID YOU GET SICK & HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS BUNCH! If you ever have to deal with them directly then you are in for a shock. My company will NOT ALLOW us to use vitality health simply because of the scary ineptitude you encounter and the time you waste. I can equate it to asking and watching a 4 year old to do up their shoelaces, it's a painful experience and most of the children give up run to the sand pit. However, there is that one smart kid you sometimes come across, but that's very rare

Would rate it 'Junk' if I could. Be very, VERY careful before getting trapped into this. I took out a policy because I could earn points or rewards by going to the gym. It was a Virgin Active gym. When Virgin dropped that gym, Vitality didn't want to know. Their customer 'couldn't care less' team could only um and ahh. This was THE reason I took the policy but all they can say is either partner gyms or buy an app from their partners. So Vitality and their partners win every time. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week and can provide them with exact details of my visits but they won't give me ;points because it isn't a partner gym. So much for rewarding you for taking steps to keep healthy and fit or whatever it is. Be aware of this. For me, it is a total betrayal because they put their partners FIRST and their customers nowhere and they never have an answer other than no. But they are always first to ask "How did we do?". You didn't Vitality. I am meeting with my Financial Advisor in January 2018 and ditching this policy is an agenda item. Betrayed. Don't make the same mistake that I did.

My boyfriend has been with vitality for a brew months now and he really enjoys the perks that come with it so I decided to join once I got my own Morgage. I joined over the phone and the vitality representive Chris Frank was super helpful and explained everything. I got tonnes of cover for £38 a month and that includes the Apple Watch etc and all the perks that go with it as long as you do your 12,500 steps!

The policy itself is good, especially coz it motivates me to stay fit. But anytime I have to login to the website, I cringe.. and then I curse, and then I curse some more, and then... well you get the idea. And the play store app is a joke! If vitality could invest a wee bit more into their website or app, it's a 5 star for me.

Last night I have noticed that Vitality Life company debited £33.90 from my account. I was shocked because I did not give authorization to Mrs. Hannah Bowman to go ahead. In my conversation over the phone I clearly stressed out to her several times that I am NOT going to sign anything before I've discussed with my husband & family first, read throughout all the documents and only then I will make a decision. I have asked her to send me a package of the papers for a start, I said, i will acknowledge it, then i will investigate the status & reputation of the company because I never heard about them before and only then I will come back with my decision. So, I have never confirmed anything with Mrs.Bowman and obviously I did not sign the Contract but the money was taken regardless. Dear people, please think 7 times when you even only querying and 10 times before you say yes to this company!

The ideal is fantastic and when the app works it is a great system. The main problem is it takes a number of emails, phone calls and lots of time to get the points correct. Also be careful with the health check, my check came Bach with a really high blood pressure but following a visit to the GP there was nothing wrong. The issue was with the equipment and way the health check was carried out. I have now been trying to get thes incorrect results changed but am getting noware with the customer survive team. Overall the idea is great, it does get you more active and the insurance plan is very good. The make the system great the IT systems need to be sorted and the customer service needs to be improved

Don't buy insurance with them. The first claim we do and they are requesting all kind of documentation to be filled by the GP to evaluate if it they cover. This is for a suspected allergy in a 1 year old child. Wordy, confusing, the whole process probably is going to take 2 weeks just to know if they accept the claim or not. Well, the NHS probably will give us an appointment before that! Not worthy pay the money, they won't cover your or your family.

Don’t even bother signing up to this. They will lure you with all the perks like Apple Watch, cinema tickets, Starbucks coffee etc... guess what? They don’t track your points properly so you will not even get the free coffee! As for the Apple Watch I was mislead into signing up for it! It’s just a very badly organised company and as soon as I get a chance I am cancelling my and my partner policies for all of the covers we signed up for! If they can’t even deliver free perks as promised how can I expect them to cover my medical costs when needed or pay out the life cover to the right people!

I am very disappointed with Vitality. They do not tell you that self-referral still means you will have to go to your NHS GP and ask to fill a form out. You will have to pay extra. Also they sent me a form with somebody else’s personal information which is unacceptable.

My whole experience has been absolutely brilliant. First I was speaking to a protection advisor (Claudia Plant). I might have been lucky, but reading from experience of others it seems Vitality employs true professionals and experts in the field. We were discussing for several days my options as I had an idea which protection plan I am looking for and Claudia answered all my exhausting questions and recommended available products. I was able to customise my protection plan for myself and my family and at end we came up with exactly what I wanted. It was such a pleasure to deal with, no pushing tactics, it was very professional conversation from start to end. I have been with VitalityHealth for some time and added vitality Life to the current plan. What I love about Vitality is the proactive approach to improve customer’s lifestyle and health by motivation in premium discounts. I was with another provider until now, but they just collect the premiums and wait for the claims to come. This is different! You will feel motivated to achieve your personal goals to collect various rewards as Apple Watch, Starbucks drink and cinema ticket and plenty more. I have done for the first time in my life a health check, got up to date with dental appointments etc. For me it just works great. I have set up my own fitness goals and hoping to be getting more and more points. The app works very well on an Apple device, there is some improvement needed for Android, graphic is off on Samsung phones, but that doesn’t bother me much. You need to read instructions how to update your points and I never had a problem with mine. I am glad I have found a product when I can feel me and my family are protected against some trouble in life which we can’t influence too much. I would recommend to have a chat with Vitality advisor to anyone who is looking for this kind of product. Thank you......

Vitality Health Insurance are not helpful, not easy to get through to them on the phone and aren't willing to support when medical cares is needed. I agree with the comments in the reviews DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH VITALITY HEALTH, it's a waste of time and money. I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND CIGNA HEALTH INSURANCE OR HEALTH-ONLINE

I’ve come to the age where one starts thinking of ‘what would my daughter do if I wasn’t here...’ I exercise, and came across Vitality’s ads. However, I don’t normally have the patience to talk to advisers. Nevertheless, I asked for a call back and a very patience and experienced lady (Victoria Arrand) spend over an hour with me explaining and clarifying all my questions and doubts. She even went beyond and simplified the benefits of Trusts, and was sure to give me the best options so my 10yo got more protection tan I expected, for a lesser premium than I thought. She should be running the company! Now, the benefits and perks really encourage you to up your fitness, and if you are competitive, you can really benefit from getting to their top tier. However, the only downside is their App, they seriously need to improve it. Luckily, their Victoria’s service is the best I had in years!
