This is literally one of the worst experience purchases/subscription/insurance I have taken in my life. I will not be renewing my insurance and the NUMBER 1 reason is their appalling Vitality app. Instead of encouraging me to w/out, the poor functionality of the app actually discourages me to workout and I will be better off with not having it ruin my healthy lifestyle. The app shows you points and the points are wrong 99% of the times. The points are slow to update. This means that at the end of the day I have no idea if I have done enough to get the points or not (even their app says it can take 48 hrs to update - this is not good enough). Points, in the app, can be seen in three places + on the website. And they are often out of synch. I rather not renew and trust the NHS to be my 'medical insurance' and save myself over £500 / year.

DO NOT TRUST VITALITY WITH YOUR HEALTH OR MONEY! They have broken FCA Guidelines The FCA guidelines announce providers must offer insurance customers payment help, policy adjustments and refunds during this pandemic crisis. Vitality are not informing members on there “corona faqs” page (as of the 8th June 2020) that they provide a 50% reduction on premiums for three months, they wait until a member calls to cancel. They hope members wont realise this offer is available. They are duty bound to notify members and they have not done so. Duplicitous and underhand! PROFITS OVER MEMBERS WHY HAS VITALITY NOT REFUNDED MEMBERS LIKE SOME OTHER COMPANY'S HAVE? WPA Healthcare has refunded policyholders that have seen their private medical care delayed and disrupted as resources have been switched over to support the NHS-led response to the pandemic. Those with private health cover in force on 22 April were due for a rebate. Most had it automatically paid back into their bank accounts on or around 29 April. WPA Healthcare said it was returning the money because it knew some treatment had been postponed. WHY HAS VITALITY NOT FROZEN MEMBERS ACCOUNTS UNTIL THEY CAN PROVIDE THE SERVICE WE AS MEMBERS ARE PAYING FOR? Gaynors manager (customer retentions) informed me “we need to have money in the coffers, to cover treatment like cancer treatment, and if we froze members accounts or refunded each members payments during this time, we would not be able to stay afloat as a company.” Vitality are in the top 5th largest health care providers. This is simply a case of…. PROFITS OVER MEMBERS Apart from paying for a service we are not getting….. Facebooks posts are full of complaints Vitality has deleted the community page so members cannot talk to each other (about the shoddy service they are getting) The perks are a joke. You have to pay postage to get a free coffee delivered! The GP online service never works Linking up your app to your phone to get points system never works either! We are informed on the corona faqs page that consultant services are still in operation ….they are not…. We are advised to go to our GP NHS for a consultation. Vitality members write to the CEO (Mathew Dijkstra) MD (Neville Koopowitz) Vitality Ambassadors, and tell them you are not happy with the shoddy way Vitality puts PROFITS OVER MEMBERS! UNETHICAL-GREEDY-DUPLICITOUS VITALITY!

Really good product, love being able to track my fitness and it really motivates me to exercise regularly to earn the points Only issue is that my Apple Watch has not been updating correctly and although I exercise within the requirements it doesn’t always record it. There is no easy way to resolve this without having to seen all the data via email to vitality. They need to come up with a better way to resolve these issues and track the points correctly

Excellent services, never had an issue with referrals. Their team are very helpful and do their best to help. The added bonuses of wellness treats are amazing.

Vitality provide really good products and the benefits/rewards system is really well thought through. The only issue I have which doesn't warrant the 5 stars, is the fact that you are encouraged to stay active to reduce or sustain you annual premiums. However, in the past week I have received notification of a policy premium increase despite reaching the activity threshold for the year. The amount is only minor, but if this happens frequently it will soon add up. If you are going to encourage people to stay active by the way of reduced annual premiums then at least stick to your end of the bargain. Otherwise, keep up the good work with the products.

Was with them for a few yesrs but they increased my premium without telling me. I logged a complaint recieved a letter saying to contact to try and discuss if there is a way we can keep you (along those lines as i am writing retrospectively), only to find the number never goes through. Ironic. Unfortunately they have got too big for thier boots and grew bigger than they can handle. They used to be very good but now they make everything unachievable. No point in having perks if they are not easy to obtain. Pointless. Stay away.

Haven't needed to use Vitality yet, but have enjoyed the bonuses like discount on activity watch, free cinema tickets. Reducing my monthly costs by getting to gold/platinum account has also encouraged me to get out and exercise more.

Looks great until you need to use their services. I signed up to get quicker access to GP and physiotherapy but the former are not free (so you still need to go through the NHS) and the latter only makes sense is you get referred by a GP (or is not free again). Furthermore, the process to get treatments approved is highly bureaucratic even for minor injuries.

Enjoying the Vitality experience greatly - lots of positives with the plan and it’s not breaking the bank. We just wanted the free cinema tickets to stay weekly and not change to only 12 tickets a year, but hopefully they’ll change back one day or offer something even better! ????

My partner first had vitality health through his work, he used the services for sometime and in full honesty fell in and out of interest with it. When it works it can be very good, but it can be very temperamental also. First it was the Ocado points not deducting correctly, then the activity points not registering. Following these issues he stopped using the services. We then went on to purchase our first house and was advised Vitaly was one of the best life insurance brokers on the market so thought we would give it another go. I too signed up this time and it hasn’t been the best, part of the signup deal was receiving an Amazon Echo which never arrived. Regardless of my partner constantly chasing for an update. Today, I’ve tried for the third time to give the services a go and complete the online health review, I have been interrupted 6/7 times but the serving failing or gateway timing out. Yet, all other searches and windows are functionally fine. It’s very frustrating, It’s made me want to give up on it once again.

We have a joint life insurance policy and the process was simple and straightforward to put the plan in place. We don’t have a plan that gives us any rewards as we opted out of that, but we have the app and upload our weekly activities to see if we would benefit from a policy with the rewards for being active. Every person I have spoken to from vitality has been very helpful and courteous, adding dependants when they arrived was very easy too.

I have life insurance through Vitality and as a bonus, they reward you for keeping healthy. Free cinema tickets, coffees, discounts on flights and even cash back at the end of the year. Oh yeah and an Apple Watch... for free. There were initially bugs with the app which they fixed. Overall I’ve been very happy.

I have recently taken out a health policy and the service I've received from John Henstock & Claire Dickinson has been outstanding. I could not have asked for better customer service. syncing the App took me a while and they were very patient and answered all my questions. It will take a while to familiarise myself with the rewards and how everything works but it all looks straightforward - however, I know if I need. any support they are at the end of the phone and nothing is too much trouble.

The worst thing that has ever been invented on this planet that you can pay for. The main app is full of bugs, doesn’t update real time activity and you constantly have to contact customer service to update points for you. The loyalty levels have now become unachievable with years of changes that they introduced. And the worst is their GP service - no matter what you contact them for you’ll never get a decent help and would be told to log a paid consultation or contact your NHS GP for further documentation. Have been trying to get their approval for specialist referral for 5 months now and after several letters been sent by post it’s either rejected or requires more info. It’s useless pointless system which I can’t even call a health insurance, because all it’s offering is a coffee and cinema ticket once per month. What an absolute mockery!

Just finished setting up my VitalityInvest account and the support I received from the team was outstanding. Initially tried applying online but due to technical hitch this couldn't be done so I called the helpline and Barry Singleton answered. He was sympathetic to my problem, friendly, knowledgable and helpful in every way. I have been a member of the Vitality community for several years now and have nothing but good things to say about my experience and level of customer service so would highly recommend!

A great workout motivation! Since joining I started running 200km a month! Finally got a bike! And I am much more active! And with all benefits Vitality seems almost for free! One Big Downside, minus one Star, is that it is not possible to link a Samsung watch! Dear Vitality please do not be dismissive, and include Samsung support

I am really pleased with Vitality. I got the Apple watch for only £29 as long as I earn 40 points each week. I have now completed 1 year and have not paid a penny towards my watch. The most I would pay is £12.50 but am determined to keep working out and keeping fit so I earn the points. I occasionally use the Starbucks and Cinema tickets as well and will definitely use Amazon Prime as this will save money. Thanks Vitality

This insurance co is a scam. Basically you are NOT insured for anything. Unless you plan to be super healthy and are happy to just buy their discounted§ Garmin and other non sense point based "partnerships" (for which btw you cannot use the points) this insurance will NOT protect you against anything. Their small print is in fact pages of a maze of thresholds which I doubt anyone can navigate or pass through. We had 3 incidents with them: dental, dermatology and ophthalmology and they would not cover any of these aspects - none of these with any prior conditions. Not only we don't recommend them but we will also report them to the FCA.

They offered a 50% discount for a fitness tracker for a limited offer, however wen I tried to purchase only a 30% discount was applied, I queried this with them had to provide evidence then said they could't do anything until 2 weeks after offer had had expired - Thanks.

Flight rewards are a complete scam. Booked a flight LCY-DUS and as a Platinum member I get a 40% discount. Problem is that the base fare is £64 on the Vitality website, but only £29 on the British Airways website. Easy to give away 40% discounts when you first double the price. They must really think customers are idiots.

NEVER LET YOU CLAIM ! Because I still have not been able to claim or get treated. and never let you post your reviews because they love blocking reviews - so I will just post it everywhere to help other people avoid this company. Someone called Mark is hired specifically to reply all public reviews (how sad that job is!) but Vitality never address the complaints or reviews, at least not mine. Because I still have not been able to claim or get treated. Always ask for more referrals, more GP letters, more signatures from everywhere. Your health condition (both physical and mental) will just go down hill. Spoke to my fellow colleagues using Vitality and they experience the same thing - not able to claims and have to escalate for months, and Vitality will just turn you to Financial Ombudsman. Definitely a scam and need to spread the word. Don't trust their ad or sales who come to your company. Waste of time and money.

I have been with Vitality a year now, as quite and active person it is easy for me to earn the full 40 points per week meaning I get my Apple Watch for pretty much nothing. I use my Starbucks voucher every week so I love that benefit. I am almost at Platinum and looking forward to the cash back reward. I have had no problems with Vitality so far.

I’ve only been with Vitality for a day so this review is really for the advisor Clare Mccombs who set up my policy. She was brilliant from start to finish. Very helpful, understanding and and friendly. She explained the whole process clearly and I was pleasantly surprised by how easily I got cover considering I thought I wouldn’t. The App and website weren’t working which was frustrating but it seems to be all fine today.

Been with Vitality for 12 months. I got the Apple Watch for free and pushes me to get 160 points a month. Get a free coffee every week from Starbucks and taken advantage of the free cinema tickets. In Feb I got the half price trainers too. Had a few issues with the app points that they have assured me they are trying to resolve . Overall would highly recommend Vitality

As somebody who stays fit and healthy day-to-day, Vitality is a great option to be rewarded for my lifestyle. Hitting a step target or scanning into the gym - even just a few times a week - makes this really easy, and it’s all connected up via an app. Removing a star from what would have been a 5-star rating because they’re changing the cinema ticket rears structure in 2019. They’re reducing the number of cinema tickets you can claim from 52 in a plan year to 12. That’s a 77% reduction to one of the key selling points.

Vitality is your best friend if you are healthy and active to get points. However when you need Vitality for a surgery, then they will find any reason not to cover. After 1 year they increase the price as you get older and might need the insurance to cover. Impossible for me to use it so for that reason I stopped the membership and paid 1 year for nothing.

Great service and helpful colleagues over the phone. Frustrated that Samsung watch cant be linked up to Vitality App to track activities/build points - been advised this is a contractual issue with Apple being key partner with Vitality. Havent used any benefits yet other than reduced gym membership. Initial promos for signing up very good.

The rewards and benefits do help motivate you to keep more active. It is important to keep going otherwise probably not worth the cost. Becomes good value if you make use of the main offers such as cinema tickets, Amazon Prime, Starbucks drinks etc. The insurance on top almost becomes an additional bonus. The app could definitely do with improvement but has been getting better.

Terrible, just terrible. I've been through four months of turmoil with them for an acceptable claim only to have it refused over a slight technicality. They have left me in a financial crisis due to their cold hearted decision. Choose carefully your insurance cover and definitely don't ever, ever use Vitality.
