I love Vitality as it motivates me to do more and keep active. 50% off running shoes is brilliant as I get through a lot of runners. My favourite though is my free Starbucks coffee every week

I would recommend to whoever is considering to avoid, I spent many thousands in premiums, signed my whole family for years & then when my baby needs to quickly see a paediatrician - they deny it putting her at risk to save themselves 150 pounds consultation cost, but they were happy to charge me over 5,000 pounds in premiums prior to that - so if you think you are paying for your piece of mind, think again, they will not cover you when you need it, better to check other companies or just save that money & use when you need to see a specialist. Plus very very poor customer support

This company is a joke. Avoid. All is good when you pay premiums but as soon as you need a consultant they avoid to pay for it, sending forms and you end up with no healthcare and quicker you get an appointment with NHS rather with them. Avoid

I got an Apple Watch that costs me nothing as long as I’m active enough to rack up the points. Saving money is an extra incentive to me to make sure I’m staying active. Also, the more active you are across the year, the higher band you achieve, which will lead to more savings across a wide range of products and services and also a decrease in the monthly premiums for the following year. All this by just staying active?! What’s not to like??

Chris Frank was excellent. New to life insurance, he was patient with me and explained terms I didn't understand. He definitely went the extra to mile to make sure I had the right cover for my budget. Thanks Chris.

I love the perks that come with my Vitality Life policy... i got an apple watch which i don't pay anything for as long as i get my activity steps in each week which really helps me to stay active and i also love my free weekly cinema ticket. The new mindfulness apps are very good and i use these most days but probably my favourite perk is the discounted Champneys breaks... 75% off a spa weekend!!

Happy with most of the other things with your services but from last 1 year I am having issues where time to time, the points that should be awarded does not get updated in your website or on your app and I would have to call your customer care spend 10 minutes talking to them and send a screen shot of my apple health. I am tired of doing this now. I thought you have fixed issues with your app but does not seems to be the case.

The life insurance cover is great value on its own. If you combine that with the healthy lifestyle rewards it just gets better. As someone who trains for ultra marathons, I get my Starbucks every week and an Apple Watch fully paid for, all for doing what I would have done in the first place. I would have given it 5 stars, but the app is a bit tempremental with how long things take to hit the points system and maintenance seems to happen without notification. App needs some work, service is excellent.

VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! I have never written badly about any service or company online previously, however, I am currently so disappointed with Vitality’s service that I feel compelled to do so now and to warn others. I have so far been to see all the consultants given to me, albeit rarely convenient or close, I have put up with the time delays in authorisation and waited patiently. However, when you think it’s all going smoothly, once again they delay, in preference of choosing a cheaper alternative, rather than a logical one further delaying my treatment and at now a serious detriment to both my health and professional livelihood. Once my current case concludes I will not be renewing my contract with them. As I say, extremely disappointed.

Great incentive to keep fit and healthy! I joined for the life insurance, but the benefits of the policy encourage me to keep fit. I would recommend highly.

Had a good experience on the phone when I opened a policy with vitality life cover. Chris Frank the advisor was really helpful and took his time to make sure I got the right cover for me. Perks look pretty sweet too.

Absolutely love Vitality its made us as a couple so much fitter and we get rewarded for it, with free cinema, Starbucks, Apple Watch discounted flights, half price trainers! I could go on, basically our life insurance pays for itself! Highly recommend and staff always helpful and instant to reply to any questions

In dealing with VitalityLife overall it was a great experience. There were some minor logistical issues that almost made me put it off and delay dealing with this as I am always swamped being self employed and don't need more life logistics but Chris Frank was an anchor all the way through and when he said he was going to do something he did it which was awesome. He also went out of his way to make my life easier. This is what we need more off with life logistics please! Because of him I am now a customer.

They will find every possible way to not approve your insurance.Even after sending my GPs referral letter to see a private consultant which clearly states that I have a new issue and needs to be checked, they denied being able to see a private GP. My company and I pay for this service. It was mistake changing from Bupa to vitality. I would not even give them 1 star! Disappointed! If they were a good service they would respond to bad reviews too and not just the once who have rated them with 4 or 5 stars.

Cheaper than our previous insurance provider (L&G) and you get more perks such as free apple watch and amazon prime if you keep up your steps etc. Bit disappointed the free cinema tickets are going to be once a month per couple now, to keep amazon prime free. Would rather have free cinema than amazon prime any day. Vitality app has improved since we took out the insurance 6 weeks ago. Overall our adviser was great and all staff were very pleasant. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new insurance company for life and critical ilness.

Took a life insurance policy with Vitality and was dealt with Chris Frank who was extremely helpful with providing all the details of policy itself and also the benefits and rewards as well. Given 4 stars because there need to be improvements made to the app itself and the ease of use of the website which is currently quite difficult to navigate.

I’ve had insurance with them for a while now and I’ve found it really easy to stay active and keep collecting my points. There are some great rewards available. Sadly, some of the ones I liked the most have gone but have been replaced by others. I’ve always found customer service to be friendly and helpful and feel I’m really benefitting from being with Vitality.

very disappointed with vitality rewards program. many many days the website and app is down and you can not get your rewards. the Amazon program is going through a 3 party provider and if you have any issue the only solution from them is wait 90 days

£2400 annaul insurance for me and my family, and with zero claims they increased it another 300, and you MUST see your GP to be transferred to a consultant .. NO EMERGENCY cover, means you must plan your kids sickness if you want the insurance to cover it!! What a non-sense.. great nice website, free coffee and cinema tickets .. I can pay for that all year and won't cost me that much, and for God sake, health insurance with no one to talk to on Sunday! My kids favourite day of getting kids and need emergency !!

Conmen in disguise Stay away I had a policy for 2 years only to be delayed treatment that the NHS was quicker. I cancelled my policy and found money continued to be taken from my account. I made a complaint but have been ignored. They are simply making it difficult for me to get back the monies they overcharged. Save your money stick with NHS or a reputable company such as Bupa.

The rewards are just great. Frequently use the free cinema tickets and Starbucks. I have just had my Apple Watch over 12 months now and not paid a penny other than the deposit. The App is fairly easy to use as long as you login and refresh weekly.

Really motivates you to get up and be healthy - we are always earning the rewards and the goals are realistic to achieve. Staff are very friendly and helpful I do agree that the App needs some work as sometimes it doesnt log in but its easy to set up s-health etc to link your points through to your account etc.

If you like exercising and take care of yourself then this is a doddle. Fat or/and lazy people shouldn't bother with this insurance as it will be too expensive for you. It gives you 4 pairs of half price trainers, 2 half price bikes, 2 Starbucks coffee a week, 4 cinema tickets per week. Half price fitness tracker. You will have to go for a medical to reduce your premiums, but, if you put the time in it is well worth the money. The positive side is that those who lose weight, reduce cholesterol, decrease blood pressure and get fit will have reduced premiums/refund and won't have to use the insurance. My file have easily recouped our money. Win win. It is a real motivation to get fit. Obviously the sort of people who are attracted to this insurance are fit, or determined to be fit, and maybe that's why they can afford to give so much back.

I am benefitting from the Iwatch deal, getting 160 points a month is a challenge but it’s enjoyable. I have also used the cinema tickets and half price trainers at Runners Need. Only down sides are the app that takes ages sometimes to sync and the local Starbucks to me has just closed down. Ive not taken advantage of prime yet as I’m already on a subscription with it. All this with the added peace of mind of health and life insurance. All my queries have been answered through customer services promptly. Happy customer - would definitely recommend

Recently got moved to Vitality from BUPA at work but all the offers are lame or too difficult to take advantage of (they're also definitely designed for Londoners and not home counties dwellers like me or anyone further out. Getting a free coffee would be easy (so long as you have Starbucks nearby which I don't since Costa have the run of my patch). All the more significant offers look good at first but aren't worth much in practice. For example I was interested in a discounted night at a Champneys Spa but tried to book and they couldn't give me a Saturday night for 6 months (not because there aren't rooms free but because they offer very limited spots for Vitality members). They also kept me on the phone for ages on a premium rate number to find that out, so I'll just book a cheaper Spa a lot sooner than that. Vitality offers are just a pointless gimmick.

Cannot tell you enough that you need to think twice before using this company. I pay aprox £237 per month for this service on a family plan and am treated like an impostor every time I call. Not sure how the higher paying premium customers are treated but as soon as i call this firm they seem to find as many hurdles for me to jump through before I can actually get the service i need.

If you need life insurance and you’re an active person then VitalityLife is for you. I love my Apple Watch, weekly posh coffee. Free cinema. Amazon prime. Cheap trainers...... the list goes on. I’ve got nothing but positive things to say about vitality.

Basically it's quite simple: if you've got any kind chronic disease Vitality is a waste of money. Even if it only flares up once every ten years, Vitality will pay zero of yours costs. By itself this is not worth a one star review, but the fact that it seem virtually impossible to find clear information this on the website - and I seriously tried - is appalling. So you're in a crisis, make an appointment with a Vitality GP, get a referral to see a consultant ASAP, and only then are you informed that it's not going to be covered, that's just sick. If I'd known this I would have tried my luck at the NHS first thing in the morning and there might have been a chance that I could have got through, and if that wouldn't work go straight to a private clinic. Now I've wasted £45 on Uber to the GP and GP costs, and later today at least £200 on a private consultant because I seriously need medicine. So @Vitality perhaps you should focus a bit less on communication about rewards and lifestyle and a bit more about your actual claims policies.

I really like my vitality policy and it really encourages me to keep active and gain points for healthy choices. The benefits offered are great, particularly Champneys health spas, Cineworld tickets and Starbucks! It would be great to add some more reward partners to promote even more!

Avoid......they just want your money and when you need to claim they make sure they let you know just how much they are laying out on your behalf. What kind of unprofessional company does that repeatedly over and over. My best mate just had the same treatment and he only went to see a consultant 3 times yet they wanted to yank his policy up and made sure they told him how much they had paid for the consultation. A health insurance company that is supposed to support health shouldn’t do that to unwell people. When your sick you need support but they make it difficult, make you feel unworthy, show lack of care, are simply immoral. Just don’t bother is my advice, go to AXA or BUPA instead. These guys are like bucket shop of insurance companies behind the image of massive PR campaign. I’ve had enough, I stick to the NHS. What decided it for me was the bills that were unpaid that kept coming despite the insurance company should have paid then, they didn’t and they ruined my relationship with my doctors. My doctors Secretary’s always say, “ vitality, oh yeah they are terrible at paying. Then they say oh that doctor isn’t registered with us, so I end up Paying directly and paying my insurance policy as well. Now I’ve cancelled my direct debt they keep calling and calling, COLD calling sharks. Go visit companies house, take a look a how much money they make, yet they treat us like we should be ashamed. Worst company in the world, should be investigated, I Even had Nuffield health sending me a bill for £120 excess for something......what the heck. They must have an affiliation with them. Attention Vitality: stop telling us how much you are paying out, we don’t want to hear it, but we are paying a shed load of money to you, do you hear that...... Be ashamed on how your company treats sick people in need of help, you know when we are sick we can’t fight. The doctor says you need this and you ask us why do you need that, urrghhhh because the doctor said so. Scroll back, look at all the bad reviews, the genuine ones, seems all the good ones are recent ones but the service hasn’t changed, still sharks, still do not want to pay out, still expect full on interrogation. I have wasted many hours on the phone with these guys, arguing when weak using my energy stressing out when I just want support. Had an operation and the doctor said I needed 3 days to recover, vitality said nope, we will only cover 1 night. There you go example. They are predictors. Great at marketing, the face of it all looks good. But I’m my opinion Vitality: is a wolf dressed up In sheep’s clothing. Stop calling me now I’ve cancelled my direct debt. My total experience has been dreadful and I wished I never got sucked in by your excellent marketing activity such as a free Apple Watch that you ultimately pay for anyway . Give with the right hand and take back with the left. D0 1

Premiums are through the roof. I switched to them 3 years ago and the premium year one was very competitive, year 2 was up about 30% which I thought fair enough as I had made a claim. But this year it has gone up again by over 40% so I have now switched to a large French insurer using a web comparing broker so am now back to the levels of 3 years ago. I am a pensioner

I have life and health insurance through Vitality, as a fairly active person its quite easy to reach the top level and get regular benefits from their partners including free weekly coffees at Starbucks, discounts on fitness trackers / watches and 50% discounted trainers, free Amazon Prime and you also earn cash back at the end of the year to reduce your overall premium. Your premium increase is also reduced if you keep fit and healthy. App is decent enough and you can get a virtual doctor appointment in 24 hours if you need it through another app. Onboarding was handled well by their staff, but like any significant cover its complicated and takes a while to go through the process (same with any provider though).

If I could give zero stars I would - avoid at all costs. These guys have every possible underwriting mechanism in place to refuse your claim. Don't be impressed by the rewards, a free Starbucks is nice, but not having cover when you need it most is awful, especially when you are paying £148 per month for it

My husband and I have been Life Insurance members since January 2019 and have been very happy with vitality. We chose Vitality because we liked the idea of getting something in return for being fit and healthy. For the same price we used to pay with a competitor, we now enjoy so many benefits, having made our way to Gold level. 20% off our ocado shop, weekly starbucks, cinema tickets have to be our most used. I have recommended Vitality to lots of people, and will continue to do so.
