The food is just amazing, it holds high quality and seems to be inspired both of Spanish, Portuguese and Asian cuisine. It is outside of central Brigthton which I think is a good thing! You definitely have to reserve a table. For the wines I think it's safer to go with one more pricey to assure the quality (we had a sancerre for 38). It all feels very homey, the staff are nice and I will definitely go back.

Been here a number of times both for food and drinks each time, we have not left disappointed. Food is fantastic and staff are great. It can get very busy but its delicious and pretty reasonable for such fantastic quality food.

Atmosphere, service and food all A1. As for the beer, it has been a joy to drink, and on a single occasion it was too much!

I've had food here befor which was good! Today in the neighborhood so dropt in for a beer late afternoon. Guy behind the bar very pleasant and a great knowledge of the stout and porter selection. A real pleasure. Will deff return.

A hidden gem tucked away in Hove. First and foremost, the menu is incredible and the selection is outstanding. Came here for dinner and went for a mix of starters to share followed by a main. The quality and presentation are all top notch whilst striking a perfect balance between traditional high-end dining and pub sized amounts. Paired with their great selection of wines and own brewed in-house beers, it's definitely a must for a visit. There is a lovely garden to the side which I'm looking forward to enjoying when the summer rolls back around. All in all, this is a great pub with excellent food and a lovely, welcoming team.

Went for a Wigilia drink with my son's. Enjoyed the vast range of beers available. We were fortunate to get a table and stools because the place soon fills up to standing only. A nice comfortable atmosphere. This place is renowned for its seafood menu although we didn't partake this time. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great pud, bar staff are the best and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, even went so far as the move a few folk around so we could sit at a table. I have never had that kind of service before. Hats off to be big Ozzie bloke.

Superb restaurant quality food and friendly staff. Don't be put off by the very short main menu as the regularly changing specials board is as long. Good reasonably priced wine list. A real gem. But do book at the weekend.

Love this place. ALWAYS good food, ALWAYS a good atmosphere. And when 2 of you can go out, have a drink, eat delicious seafood until you're stuffed and walk away with a bill of less than £55, its a place to keep returning to.

Great seafood pub. Small with only few tables but fantastic muscles and crab. You may need to queue but it is worth it. The moules and frites were incredible. Great craft beer selection too.

During a business trip in Brighton we visited Urchin for dinner with a local friend. It was a pleasant surprise. The variety of beers to select was great and the sea food was delicious. The stuff were very helpful and fast even when the place became busy after some time.

We visited the Urchin for the first time following our friends who recommended visiting. We were not disappointed! Great pub, decoration, atmosphere and seating. The service was exceptional, all the team working were helpful and attentive. The food was simply mouth watering and for us perfect! All of us had a lovely evening, thank you :-)

The Urchin is a great pub for craft beers, some with quite unusual flavours. There is a garden at the side open to the air. Seating is limited and the pub is popular. There's no TV or gaming machines, so you can hear yourself talking! The food is mainly sea themed with some vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is separate to the main bar, affording some privacy. Definitely worth a visit for its friendliness and wide choice of beers.

The service was super friendly and the food was amazing! Had the oysters and few appetisers, the special seafood gumbo was just divine! The seafood was so fresh, practically licked the bowl! Couldn't ask for anything more. Will go back every week if I lived closer!! Atmosphere was super chill too..

I can not remember the last time I felt so unwelcome in a place.
Unsurprised at the below review stating it was unsafe for black people.
Food and ale was good, but you won't be allowed to enjoy it unless you're a white yuppie.
Owners seemed alright to be fair. The younger female who served us (very reluctantly and after considerable time before getting someone else to do it) was not.
