This is NOT a pub, it is a restaurant. I've been the only customer there yet ALL of the tables were reserved for diners. Last Friday the whole pub was closed for a private party. Bugger the locals - meals = short term gain, long term loss.

They are closed all day again for a private party. Its a bloody Friday in December FFS! Drink somewhere else.

Warm and cosy with tealights and fairy lights scattered around. Enough space though to not be intruded on by the next table. Footy on the telle but doesn't take over the atmosphere. Good choice of beers and wine. GREAT staff too. Didn't eat but menu looks quality. Good smoking area.

Tres disappointed when invited to a fancy dress party circa 2015.
My uncle being sir John Gielgud, I researched my costume in the vaulted halls like the old vic,
Imagine my horror after researching mass murderer Myra hindly, and turning up de trop, to be asked by Ethel behind the bar, where I got my scarf....wtaf...and it was Hermes....daddy is writing to colonel bickerstaff, it’s just not cricket....

I always find the bar staff here unwelcoming and rude.
I'm amazed that sometimes I am the only customer yet there is nowhere to sit because all the tables are reserved for people buying their overpriced and underwhelming food.
I've seen quite a few people here who i think are druggies and the toilets are what you expect from my previous comments.
