Lovely pub in Brighton with a nice garden and cozy interiors. They sell Pie minister and have plenty of beers and ciders. I particularly enjoyed their table games, so much so that we stayed there all afternoon. Wish I could go back more often. They also have a lovely friendly labrador (who you shouldn’t feed)

Love this place. Used to be my local then moved away but since I'm back went straight back in. Love the option to have some local take away as well as pie-minister in the pub, however shame the garden is forced to be closed due to the neighbour's house:( hope they can sort that quickly!

I love this pub. Great, fun staff, awesome stocked bar (gins! Sweets!). Board games galore. Fantastic garden. The whole place is exactly what a pub should be, fun, humorous and welcoming. Wish I lived in walking distance to it as it is the perfect local. Can't wait to visit again ❤️

Love this pub. Great beers and friendly staf! You can go play board games either bring your own or take one from their collection. The best part is you can order from pizza face from the pub!! I have also seen some people bring Thai take sways. Not sure how that works.

There is a wide range of beers and is a cozy place. Nice to go with a date or a friend. It seems to have a nice terrace but couldn't make use of it due to weather conditions.

What a cracking pub! Full of character, funny signs, loads of board games to get your teeth into, a piano, a 'tuck shop' selling proper sweeties, popcorn, and pies - lots of pies. Traditional favourites and the new and innovative make the choice harder, but more fun! Situated at the top/eastern end of Kemptown, it's definitely worth checking out.

Always a choice of good beer here, and the staff are friendly. I also like the fact that you can order off 3 menus: pies (cooked in house), Thai, and Pizza (both delivered very promptly).

We spent Sunday afternoon with family at the Barley Mow. It’s without doubt one of the best pubs in Brighton. Sunday roasts are outstanding, especially the cauliflower cheese! Staff are friendly and work really hard. If your looking for a chilled pub that does a mean Sunday roast and has a warm, friendly, slightly quirky vibe. The Barley Mow is for you. I’d definitely recommend a visit ????

Myself and my partner are in Brighton to see a band, we asked in a shop to see where best to eat and he recommended The Barley Mow for food. He definitely was not wrong had the pie, mash and gravy. The landlord made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend this pub for both drinking and eating, the prices were very good for the food and drinks.

Nice comfortable boozer at the far end of Kemptown's high street. It was a cold evening so on arrival it was lovely and cozy inside. Drink selection was really good including cocktails. They do Thai food which we didn't have but looked nice. There is a cute little heated garden out the back as well

Called by as travelled down from Leeds, needed quick food and a cheeky slurp (hop house 13 & Pink gin n tonic ), pieminster pies bang on, I had the traditional steak pie mushy peas, wife had chicken ham leek with sweet potato mash n gravy, pea to pie ratio just right. Querky little bar yound lady behind bar made us welcome & beer garden to rear, Until next time keep up the good work, cheers Neil n Jane ????????????

Great Kemp Town pub with a varied menu including pies and pizzas from Pizza Face. Board games to challenge your friends with. Good option if you're going to an event at the nearby St George's Church.

Expected lunchtime to be busy, but was desolate when we arrived, which should have been an omen. Advised of an hours delay for lunch which didn’t help but fortunately not in a rush. Beef was rare as ordered but that was the only redeeming factor of the meal. It was topped with an enormous yourshire pudding, that without the gravy would have evaporated as was that crisp. My wifes choice of the chicken was predominantly used as a take away for our dogs for later. Unbelievably the takeaway cartons were given to us, for us to deal with !!... Not the best customer service. The inattentive bar staff did not help matters, but were happy to take the money for the overpriced offering. We will not be venturing to the Barley Mow again any time soon. Very disappointed
