Quaint pub with great food and background music. Ordered vegan options: a chilli veg concoction with brown rice and my partner ordered a veg burger that came with chunky chips. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The chilli certainly lived up to its name and we both struggled to get through it without a sip, the vegetable skewer was beautifully cooked, not dry at all, especially the mushrooms. Definitely recommend.

First impressions: nice traditional pub atmosphere, bartenders extremely friendly and welcoming. Good varied menu with very reasonable prices. Good range of ciders which is always a plus with me.
Seating area up the back is a little small, but didn't bother us - you could call it cozy. Food brought to us surprisingly and impressively quickly. Really generous portion sizes - is there such a thing as too many chips? Well, they were delicious, anyway. I had the fried halloumi, which was delicious, although the ratio of halloumi to beer batter was a bit low; couldn't really taste it. Very nice batter though so couldn't be too upset. Girlfriend's review of chili and sweet potato chips: "really good, would eat again". Overall a very pleasant find.

This is a wonderful traditional pub steeped in Brighton history. The decor is cozy and quirky .The staff are friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere and the vegetarian food was lovely.

This pub is an absolute winner. It's got beer, seats and tables. I am taking a star off because the bogs didn't smell like Satan's dog's butthole and although this is a good thing, no one likes a show off. I did give an extra star back because why not, f u, stop reading reviews, you sad git. Much love.

Downstairs looks like a typical pub, but there's a rather quirky upstairs with a wall of old style looking maps, exposed brick and many odd pictures which definitely adds to character, the bar staff are very friendly as well.
