Refurbished very old historical pub in centre of Brighton. Now offering much nicer surroundings and a great place to meet up before choosing which restaurant to eat.

Lovely place to spend some time with friends, grabbing a beer in a typical english PUB. I would suggest to have a taste of the different beers offered since they're all really good! We had the chance to stop for a while during a sunday evening, finding that not so crowded and with a nice music for the aperitif time. Only downside maybe 'cause of the time or of the day maybe the barman can be warmer in welcoming and serving people. Anyway, bad days come for everyone and the place and beers are so nice you would not even notice that.

It's an alright pub. Bit of a lizard lounge but if you're a lizard you'll love it.

Good entertainment & atmosphere but feet squelching from sticky floor and coat had sticky substance from shelf I rested drink on. Needs a proper clean & not just a wipe over.

We stopped for a beer and a snack. I was really surprised about the fantastic food. I had one of the best chips (french fries) I ever had. Also the dips taste like self-made. Great!

When in town & in need of a good swift half, then we'll head to The Victory. Great, really great beer, with guest ales. Good pub grub. Always friendly service. Chilled out atmosphere. A few tables of the street for when it's nice & sunny.????

We visited this pub initially for a drink but were tempted by the menu. We shared the most amazing halloumi fries and then had vegetarian sausage and mash. It was delicious and very nicely presented. We shared mango brulee for dessert and highly recommend this pub for food and drinks - excellent value.

Really impressed with the new(ish) vegetarian and vegan menu. The chef came down personally to check what I'd ordered was right, based on my dietary requirements. Great service from the bar staff, too.

Proper boozer in the centre of town. Quite nice area, but doesn't make this place snooty. Instead, it's an honest bar with honest food. Also great for a drink on your way somewhere or just passing through town.

One of my favourite pubs in Brighton, loads of character and history in this beautiful old pub. Great selection of well kept beers, and the menu is great aswell, best fish and chips and burgers! And don't get me started on their now famous Sunday roasts. Cannot recommend enough!

Situated on a back street of Brighton. If you're going by car, then good luck trying to find a parking place outside.

A bit overly quirky with old school chairs, but the burgers and halloumi fries are brilliant

I didn't really enjoy it very much here to be honest, probably we didn't visit at best time because there was an England football match on which meant that everyone had had a few. That's said it's quite a nice traditional English pub and very handy because it's in Central Brighton. A little bit pricey.
