Nice pub. It is very spacious. Lots of room inside. Lots of room out back with lots of seating. Couple of benches out front. Decent beer selection. Very good food from what remember. Great if you're a meat eater. Can get pretty busy on the weekend. And music can get quite loud which is annoying. Inside has tables as well as booths. Outback has of lots of booths with heaters. I recommend this pub!

Decent pub but no decent lager like Peroni or Hop house 13.

Got to update this review as previously it was a 5. But today we were treated very rudely by staff at the door who made up a rule about having to write our name and number on their publicly visible piece of paper by law, when checking in with the app is sufficient. Then 10 minutes later we were told that they were magically not taking any more orders for roasts, at 1430, despite being asked seconds before what we would like to order and that nearly everything was still on the menu. A coincidence? Perhaps. You can be the judge.

Excellent beer and food, had the Gun Brewery Best Bitter and the roast beef, the beef was amazing, not the usual tough rubbish you get in pubs, will definitely eat and drink here again.

Very nice pub with great selection of drinks. Staff friendly can be hit and miss. This weekend for my first round I was served by a really friendly guy, seemed happy doing what he was doing. Next drink I bought it seemed the other chap wanted to be somewhere else entirely. I wouldn't let it stop me going back though.

Lovely pub, amazing Sunday roast! And although a ramp is required to get in, for wheelchair users, they imediately crab it and put it down, without an ounce of trouble! They also put down the ramp for the toilet, without a word said! Really excellent disability customer service! I just felt like a customer, not " the special one", or, " the awkward one". Thank you❤️

A good place to meet in the garden. Inside it is loud and dark in the evenings. There is good veggie food and drinks though.

Really good pub, always great fun whatever time of day and day of the week. Great selection of beer and taste in music, another quality smoking area makes this place a brilliant place to go for a drink

Love this pub, really cool vibe and good food which changes every few months. It's pretty loud party vibes on weekend evenings so if that your scene then its perfect. Rest of the time it's a chilled place to get a craft beer, of which there are tons to choose from.

Great vibe and the best pad thai I've had in ages. The only downside was the almost unbearable volume of the music.

By far one of my top 5 bars in Brighton. Great space indoor and outdoor, food menu and bar variety in spirits and beer. In the summer the outdoor terrace is decorated in lights making a romantic area to chill after work or a gig. Staff are friendly and spirited and they know a lot about theyre products.

Fantastic pub with a really great selection of cask and keg ales both well known and small batch. The beer garden is both spacious and cosy due to its deployment of bamboo and booth structures. I hope to be back to sample the food as it looked and smelt great.

Slightly down at heel, noisy, busy and £6.50 for a pint of Tiny Rebel. If that's your thing it's a great place. Joker across the road is better.

Huge bar! Lovely pub garden. Definitely try the food - really awesome Mexican stuff. I sometimes come here for the Retrobution event (old school gaming) and this place really accommodates it well. Plenty of comfy seating and low lighting makes it a real nice place to hang. Great music too!

This used to be a rather grim place until it's makeover a few years back. While the pub is spacious, well laid out and serves a good selection of quality beers, there are two major problems. The staff are indifferent and borderline hostile to those not in a group and the beer is very expensive. Not a good combination. Why the beer is so pricey is something of a mystery? The latter could always be compensated by great service at the bar but this is not the case. A good venue serving a good product completely let down by bad service and overpriced beer.

Always love to gather my friends and have some pints and food. It's georgous inside and outside (beer garden). Everyone loves the place. Edit: 1/3/2018 the prices went a bit up and the food menu has changed- I will update the review once I have tried the new food here. Cheers

Last time I was here they had an awsome selection of stuff in it would seem that they have reduced this down somewhat which is a shame. Still a nice pub with great outside seating for its location. Have not ate st the kitchen yet but I bekieve it serves mexican food.

La Choza has now gone, the new menu is a BBQ style one and quite expensive (£15 for pork belly and a side) The drinks are still expensive. The staff make up for this, one guy tall with glasses and messy hair was just so friendly and kind, he made me smile a lot. The location is good too. They used to run video game days/wrestling quizzes. That made the pub more fun. I would give four stars but no the Mexican food is gone I cant.

Fantactic pub, dog freindly too, wich meant that we could have a drink and the dogo could too. Would highly recommend, staff were freindly and inclusive of all in the party, bringing treats and water for the dog. Whil for the more bipedal a large selection of ales is offered from a large veriety of independent breweries around the country. The atmophere was welcoming and allowed for conversation.
