I came as an after hours patient and this man supposedly the on duty doctor did not introduce himself, did not wear a badge, did not explain anything about what he was going to do. A disgrace for the medical profession really.

UPDATE: the practice called me the day after I left this review and apologised for the poor experience and promised a better service. They then asked me if I could remove or edit the 1 star review I left. This is really concerning as I had initially left feedback with the practice on their website on the initial bad experience on 1st Oct and selected the option for them to respond to the feedback but I have not heard back from them till date and the experience only got worse which led me to leave this review on google (was over 2 weeks since initial feedback to writing below google review). So it seems to me that the practice is not really interested in improving patient care but only on public image! We’ve registered elsewhere now. ———————- The practice has really let us down during a very vulnerable time. There seems to be a systematic issue with how the place is run. The level of incompetence of the reception and admin staff borders on cruelty. We will be changing practice as we are now in need of more frequently care and every small thing seems to be so hard at this practice. I’ve described some of my experience below (do you blame me for changing practice?!) 1. Appointments: miscommunication and lack of clarity of processes among staff: I used the Dr.iQ app to request a 6 week postnatal baby check appointment for my newborn as requested by my health visitor. The response was to call in to book an appointment. So, I called in and they in turn said I should use the app to book an appointment (process unclear with admin staff!). Anyway, I was finally booked in for 1st Oct. When I went in for the appointment, they had incorrectly booked us in for an immunisation appointment for my baby with a nurse. She said there was an error and a GP does the 6 week postnatal check and she would arrange one to see me right then. But there was some miscommunication between the staff and I was finally only seen an hour and half later by a GP to be told that she could not do the baby check as the baby has to be first seen by a nurse to be measured and that the nurse had no time that day so I had to rebook! I was ping ponged around with a newborn baby during COVID just to be rebooked! Turns out the GP was wrong and she should have done the baby check! I was rebooked 2 weeks later for baby check (with GP) and for immunisation (with nurse). I went into the practice and the GP calls me on my mobile as apparently the appointment was again incorrectly booked as a general phone consultation (we were seen as we were at the practice). Further more, the practice did not have any stock of the vaccination we were booked for and I was told I had to be rebooked again but they did not know when the stock would come in, so I should call in the following week to check if stock was in to book an appointment!! Why were we booked in the first place when there was no stock?! 2. Prescription: my baby was prescribed medication but it was not for some reason sent to the pharmacy. It took me 3 visits to the pharmacy, 2 requests on the Dr.iQ app and 3 phone calls to the surgery to finally get it sent 10 days after the actual GP appointment, all the while my baby suffered! Why is it so hard?!

FIND A DIFFERENT PRACTICE IF YOU CAN! Phone lines are always busy and receptionists are very quick to refer to Dr IQ (online app). Tried to get an urgent appointment for a pregnancy related issue and received various advice from the receptionists on whether or not I would be able to speak to a doctor (again, trying to refer me to Dr IQ despite my persistence that I needed to speak to a Dr or pharmacist ASAP). When I finally received a call from the doctor the phone line cut out, I called back straight away and was advised the doctor had gone home for the day. When I did book with Dr IQ the call never came through my phone and when I tried to contact them through the app the doctor had already closed the chat (less than 10 minutes after our planned appointment) and I was asked to make another appointment (which would take 2-3 business days). In the end I was untreated as a result of their poor service. I also just spent 45 minutes waiting on hold only to be hung up on saying "due to the high volume of calls we are unable to answer your call at this time". This is not a once off and has happened twice in the last month. How pathetic! All I want to do is change the time of an appointment I've booked. Update in response to kings cross reply. I will not be changing my review. I had explained to the receptionist the urgency of my situation, which for personal reasons I will not go into further. The first receptionist was fantastic and understood why it was urgent (but not an emergency) but the one I spoke to the next day was dismissive and sent me to dr iq. The doctor I disconnected with the first day, I called back immediately and he had gone home - he also had been notified of the seriousness of my issue so surely he would have tried to call me back or wait at least a couple of minutes!? For comparison, I have now switched practices and when I had this issue arise again I was able to have it sorted and put on the required medication within the same day. I have received contact about my review and I appreciate that kx is trying to rectify the issue and wants to help where they can, but the reality is it doesn’t line up with the varied service I receive from the receptionists, doctors, and long hold times on the phone. I feel people should be aware of that before committing to the practice.

I've been really amazed by how the reception and referrals team have bent over backwards for me since I came out of hospital. Maggie in particular has been wonderful, even when I was difficult to deal with! She called different hospitals for me and really researched which one might be best for me to go to. She has always been considerate, kind and gone out of her way to help me. Thank you to Maggie and her team - I now have an appointment for the proper care and treatment in a good hospital close to home.

It’s a great surgery patient focused, very quick on getting results back and if not the reception chase it up and call you straight away. Dealing with any concerns doctors take time to listen, the telephone calls are amazing the doctors or pharmacist can issue medication and discuss any issues you have over the phone. Great for people who cannot come to the surgery

They have a giant communication issue in between them! Reception team are literally sleep walking during the day. They let me down when I need help or when the situation is really urgent. I believe, they always think that you are over reacting and they have right to ignore you in every situation. First one was when I was on high level of immune suppressive and with those tablets you shouldn't miss any day. At that time I knew the fact that surgery is extremely slow and unhelpful I called them one and a half week before my tablets finished and quickly gave my blood. However, they kept ignoring and ignoring....I end up running to the surgery on a Saturday an hour before they close with tears and sweat. All reception team had to do was sent blood result to the doctor so doctor can approve and send my prescription. That's it!!! My recent experience is worst than that , it was such a simple task and I didn't expect much from them as I knew that it's going to take ages for them to help me. I want to end my pregnancy and I didn't even bothered to contact the surgery for referral. So I called one of the private clinic to help me but they requested my blood test because of the tablets that I am using. It took me 3 days calling the surgery and explain them how important every single day for me. One of their member realised that its urgent and promised me someone from the reception team going to find another clinic to make an urgent appointment.... No call! I had to call back and this time I've been advised that previous person was promising something impossible and she offered me to send the form by e-mail so I can walk-in one of the clinic for blood test. Did I get the form by e-mail ? NO! I was even okay to find a blood test clinic myself without a referral. I just needed a form but I couldn't even get that until I cry on the phone with anger and disappointment. My situation is already difficult and damaging and I didn't need this frustration and stress just over a simple task which I was happy to do half of it. I must say the only good thing in that surgery is Dr Rizvi. Such an amazing lady and a Doctor and the only reason that I still haven't changed my GP until now. Nurses are also kind. But for the rest, I don't even want to make any further comment! Songul Unlu

All staff are courteous and considerate. Doctors I have seen are very good clinicians as far as I can tell with the level of monitoring they provide and the accuracy of their diagnoses. Doctors take care to explain test results, diagnoses and drugs in an accessible and user-friendly way. Excellent access to online facilities available for booking appointments, ordering prescriptions and viewing and understanding test results. I am extremely satisfied with the service I receive in spite of all the difficulties the NHS is facing.

I have dealt with two lady receptionists who have gone above and beyond to help and support both me and my family. They are extremely understanding, supportive and empathic. I was overwhelmed that they took time to go the extra mile and consider my needs. It meant a great deal to me. I have never experienced that at all at my previous doctors. They have seen me through a lot, always with care and attention and nothing ever too much trouble. I can usually get an appointment the next day or the same day if urgent and the Dr will always take time out to discuss on the telephone if an appointment is not necessary. The care that is evident in this surgery is quite rare these days. Reception is warm and inviting and has plenty of information on local services.

I have always found the appointments system by telephone efficient and responsive to my needs. You are always able to get a same day appointment with a doctor if needed. Despite the constant demands the reception staff have they are friendly, patient and efficacious. A credit to the practice. I have a chronic condition, treatment of which includes frequent visits to the nursing team. The nurse which I see is amazing and an outstanding practitioner.

if You have a genuine need to see a clinician then the helpful and efficient receptionist el do all they can to facilitate this. The system of telephone appointments also gives greater patient flexibility which frees up time for those who need a face to face appointment. I wouldn’t recommend this practise to anyone due to a lack of professionalism from the administrative staff. Because of their negligence, I ran out of a an essential treatment which had distressing impact on my life. It was raised with the surgery but never addressed. As a result I had to change practise to ensure I was getting the care required for my condition. Stay away if you need medical attention.
