The place is immaculately clean and quiet, and one of the best facilities I've ever visited. Ms Fitzgerald was quick to answer all my questions (which was many) and even went through with the MRI scans. Unfortunately getting through via the phone is tricky and not always clear I'm calling the right number.

Very nice and clean, and run efficiently. Been to this clinic a number of times and been happy with the service I’ve received. The consultants are also top class.

The consultant I have dealt with is great but the booking service and procedure is AWFUL. Ignored multiple voice messages for a week before saying “sorry we had a technical issue”. Booked an appointment and was told I need to see the consultant before I have tests. Get messaged two days late with the opposite info. Subsequently appointments rearranged and delayed. This is annoying and unnecessary- sort it out.

Great doctors and the staff is always helpful . I can’t thank the front office for their help during one of my visits - my overall experience has been excellent

I would give the consultant Dr. Karuppaiah more than 5 stars for the treatment I received. World class surgeon! I would also give more than 5 stars to London Bridge hospital where I had the surgery. Top class facilities and top clasd care by all nurses and other personal and I really mean it. Unfortunately it appears that the standards of the physio department have dropped ways below their usually very hight standards. I had a top physio treatment earlier this year but now it takes them ages to answer queries, book physio even in urgent cases. Spent 2 days and 8 phone calls with various people who kept transferring my calls or frequently cut off the calls in the middle of what meant to be a short conversation! Technical issues? If these are really technical issues, and of course these are always possible ... but no call back, email, text ..., nothing at all back to address the patient needs . It feels like pure admin in the Shard rather then a world class physio...Had no choice but to book the physio with another company. Very pity. Hope they go back to their high standards soon but for the time being it is a real pain to book any physio at all so go somewhere else.

I went in July and was very disappointed with their client care. The consultant requested a scan and I was informed that the cost was £289 for then being charged £483. They did not show any particular interest in resolving the matter when I contacted them and the consultant's secretary had to also intervene. It came out that they charged me for an extra scan, which was never ordered. They then sent me another invoice with the correct price, but never wrote a letter or contacted me otherwise to apologise that it took them almost 2 months to investigate the issue. Too much money for a very poor service.

I would give a - 5 if I could. I had a terrible experience in this place. I was seen my Dr Andrich, a urologist. She was arrogant, dismissive and didn´t listen. I felt bullied into accepting an extremely invasive procedure, that could have left me major scars for life, without even considering other options. As a patient, I was treated with utter disrespect. I even was told that I didn´t need to know what the surgery would actually involve! After literally running away from this place, I went to the NHS in the end. I was seen by an excellent consultant who listened to my concerns and carried out a non invasive procedure for my problem. I had no scars, no trauma. I recovered quickly and got my life back. The whole experience at HCA left me feeling deceived, like so many other people, that if you pay, you get better treatment. I love the NHS even more after that experience. The only nice people in HCA were the nurses. The place is cold, impersonal and it leaves you with a sense that they only care about the money. Ah, and the bills were extortionate and they kept coming without even detailing what they were for (pathology??, consumables??...). My insurance paid for them but I felt sick looking at them. My insurance was probably charged £50 for my use of the lift and a cup of tea. Utterly disgusting!

I’ve been going here for nearly two years now for a regular appointment, the phone lines always take a really long time, you spend at least 15 mins trying to get through.

I’m disgraced at the professionalism of Dr M McGurk Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon. During my consult he said I had a certain condition, however in my report he wrote up he COMPLETELY left out this condition. When I queried this he then wrote a 2nd report but AGAIN left out this condition. How can you tell a patient she has something but then not include it in your report? Dr McGurk also put down my pain due to my ‘psychological disposition’ as I was tearful during the consult DUE to my pain, not due to my state of mind. My God what a insulting misogynistic comment I’m appalled and will be making a full complaint. He also wore no gloves or mask during my consult - but later denied this!! *I made my complaint and the lady who handles them - Janene Madden - has denied and silenced my complaint - she’s just as bad as Dr McGurk. I’m totally disgusted. I paid £250 for what? To be treated with such disrespect? I will now be going into stage 2 of the complaints procedure.

I recently had a visit with Dr Nemesha Desai and I am not happy at all with the procedure carried out. Her service was very poor and unprofessional. Dr Nemesha Desai appeared very incompetent and untrustworthy. Stay away!

Attended this clinic to treat calcification on my shoulder, which was treated on the day with injections. I was referred to the Physiotherapy department and treated by Aisling O'Mally for 5 sessions. The service was excellent. Aisling was extremely professional and thoughtful in her approach. We established targets for what successful treatment would be - throwing a ball with my son, lifting my daughter over my head - and I aced them in 8 weeks. The exercises I was given were very effective, but also manageable in a working day. I would recommend the Physiotherapy team to anyone.

During the covid-19 lockdown I saw Dr Nemesha Desai, a Consultant Dermatologist, using private health insurance provided by my employer. I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency in which she arranged an initial consultation (over zoom) then a follow up face to face procedure and then a final sign off consultation, again via zoom. All this took place within a period of 2 weeks, giving me confidence and peace of mind. When I arrived at the clinic information was very clear and I felt very safe during the Coronavirus outbreak. The staff were all really welcoming and friendly. Dr Desai's secretary was always easy to get hold of, someone always answered the phone and all information was provided to me before I needed to ask for it. I would highly recommend Dr Desai and the HCA clinic at the Shard.

Horrible place. If they cannot find what you have, they tell you that you are crazy. It is like a factory. Faceless, impersonal, detached.

Yesterday l had an appointment with the dermatologist Dr Leslie Tabi as l had severe urtikaria which did not go away for about 3 days. Well l cannot express how disappointed l am with my experience with this doctor. She looked at me and advised me to seek hepl at the A&E as she cannot treat me. Really? At the end of our conversation she asked me to pay £260 for the appointment which l did as l was feeling so unwell l did not want to argue. How dare you Dr Tabi. Shame! I will never visit this clinic ever again! You deserve 0* review.

Can’t recommend HCA Outpatients & Diagnostics at the Shard enough. Following a rather debilitating slipped disc, my doctor suggested I see Aisling O’Malley and I’m very glad I did. Extremely knowledgeable and considered in her approach, Aisling made sure to continually evaluate my progress, guide me through carefully planned exercises designed to address my pain and strengthen areas that would help protect me from future injury. The facilities were clean, bright and well appointed through out with all staff being extremely courteous and professional.

I had an excellent experience with HCA when I broke my finger. I had consultations with Mr Sam Gidwani and hand therapy with David Baker. I was really pleased with the support, timeliness and quality of treatment that I received. I had a great outcome and was able to get back to all my sporting activities without difficulty.

Came to the One Stop Breast Clinic here in January after a breast cancer scare. The facilities were first rate, as were the staff. Very kind and reassuring. Luckily, it was a false alarm - but it was so reassuring to be able to get all necessary tests done, and see the radiologist & consultant with the results in under two hours. Highly recommended.

i contacted my insurance on a monday morning for a physiotherapy assessment on my foot injury. i called the physiotherapy office that same morning and i was able to book an appointment that afternoon. i was assessed thoroughly and given the piece of mind that my injury could be managed conservatively. I would recommend this service

I can’t complain. Finally a hospital and medical centre which doesn’t look like a hospital and a medical centre. The place is bright and clean. Staff is friendly and professional. They even thought about providing a voucher for food after the tests (which required fasting for 14 hours). I can’t comment on whether the place is pricey or not as my tests were all covered by private health insurance.

I recently attended the one stop breast clinic at the Shard. I was highly impressed with the service and the attentiveness of all the staff that looked after me. I was able to get all the tests I needed in one go and left with the results, which luckily were negative. Mr Hamed was lovely, and the nurse specialist, Nahar, put me at ease. The radiographers and radiologist were also very kind and talked me through the tests patiently. I am most grateful to everyone for their caring nature and for the smooth service that I was provided.

I've seen a number of therapists here for different conditions and each time the service has been brilliant. Recently I have seen Alice Boyle and Deirdre Convery, both have been excellent. I really felt my problems had been listened to and explored and I now have a clear treatment plan to manage my symptoms.

My boyfriend had three appointments in the physiotherapy department and had an awful experience. For the high cost he was given thirty minute sessions which the physio was always late for and never actually achieved any improvement - most of the 30mins was spent talking rather than working on solving the issues. They didn't seem to have any idea what to advise and the advice that was given had no effect. He was left in constant pain - they didn't seem to care or be in a rush to help. Communication between patient and physio was non existent between appointments when urgent problems were arising causing him to be in extreme pain, sometimes immobile. He had one session today with an independent physio who got to the root of the problem within an hour and he is already far more mobile and painfree than he has been in months, at half the cost for double the time per session. It really feels like he was sent round the houses for no reason, in order to charge him more money - it feels like a scam, and that they just don't care at all, especially at these incredibly high rates. I recommend you seek help elsewhere.

I went to the clinic to the Doctor Sam Singh as it was recommended by my physiotherapist. To be honest, I would not recommend it to anyone. My physio sent him beforehand the problems that I had, he didn't even bother to read it. I had to explained him everything again. He asked me even which treatment I would like to follow (well, that's why I am here isn't?). At the end, I still have the issue but he absorbed all my insurance coverage. Please choose a different centre. Thanks

The HCA hospital in London Bridge/Shard has been a true life saver for my daughter. She has received the utmost highest care for nearly 3 years from being diagnosed with a tumor, to major surgery, to aftercare. From the doctors and nurses in the Colorectal team - Mark George, Urology team - Tim O’Brien to the rest of the support staff including the Physio team, receptionists, conceige. They have always provided us with the warmest of welcomes and taken care of us. I highly recommend this service to friends and family. I am truely gratefull for all of their help and support.

customer service in urologist department is very poor. I tried to contact them to arrange an urgent appoinment with my doctor, they didn't let my doctor know that I was trying to contact him with a urgent matter. They are quite automatons and treat patients like they were robots. Very sad experience.

Very clean, modern new hospital ...but... found the customer service to be consistently impersonal and poor. Especially in the urology department. For the expense, you're better off heading to The London Clinic on Harley St or the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth.

Overpriced and complete lack of transparency in relation to the invoice - I have been to the HCA at the Shard in two different occasions, and in both cases I have noticed a complete lack of transparency in relation to the fees. After having paid a huge amount after the visits, in both occasions I havereceived additional invoices for exams/consultancy fees which were not communicated to me at the moment of the booking. I ended up paying almost 5 times more the initial fee which I had been told at the moment of the booking (which was already pretty high). Completely overpriced, unacceptable and unprofessional.

The UVB light photography costed a bomb. On the phone I was given a different fee but then the bill came out for something else. Make sure you get everything in writing as they don’t explain this to you at all before your treatment which isnt a good practice.

The doctor I saw was good, she found out what was wrong with me immediately but the hospital staff is the most incompetent lot of people that I have encountered with. I was told that all my bills were cleared and included in the pack that I paid for but then they sent me another bill 2 weeks after. It was not even itemized and I had no Idea what it was for. I called them up and they said there was a mistake and they 'forgot' to mention this and that they will send me the itemized bill. They sent me 4 warning letters saying legal actions will be taken if I don't pay while I was waiting for the bill making me feel like i'm some kind of crook. Never going back there, I have moved on to BUPA Cromwell Hospital.
