I had a Les Paul repaired here, some time ago, it took bloody ages, and as my guitar just had a set up it was explained and shown to me by the person who did the recent set up that the repair carried by this shop was appalling, messy, pathetic and incompetent. Avoid!

I've been coming here since the day I moved to London pretty much. This is not your mundane music shop chain. Full of rare and wonderful instruments and equipment, as well as new accessories, backed up by around 40 years of knowledge on helping you fix or service your instruments/equipment.
Well worth a visit.

This store is an Aladins cave for lovers of music. It has to be one of London's corestone music shop, still operating on a family basis. No nonsense, no time-wasting and value for money, as well as having hard to find gems.

I have used Johnson & Jones (Sound & Music 66 Dalston Lane) a few times for many equipments for my church, to buy, advice and repairs. 2 OCCASIONS WHEN VISIT I HAVE BEEN SPOKEN TO VERY VERY BADLY AND HE IS QUITE INTIMIDATING! by a worker called Ricky. (It has also happened on phone) rude attitude and unprofessional. many others people have told me do not see him and i will say same in this advice that i give to you. unprofessional rude ricky AVOID!!
i try not to use the shop any more as the result of this person only if i need but argos does same with better service.

helpful and friendly shop, which is an alladins cave of guitar, bass, drums and studio equipment. All types of guitars and basses, a few random pieces of second hand gear (from old synths and mixing desks to TLA eq's when I last visited) and all of the replacement strings, drum sticks, quitar heads and other additional bits and pieces you'll ever need. At the moment being threatened by the council with (illegal) eviction in favour of a large and rich property developer...

Very unreliable store. I took a 32 channel mixer there over two years ago and it's still there in the same position I dropped it off at and hasn't been touched. I also took a friends speaker there which wasn't looked at and lastly I took a keyboard there to be fixed and they didn't touch it either. They just leave things layin around in the shop. Customer service is poor & the communication level is worse!!
